  1. I once had issues that were only present with the cylinder closed, it turned out to be the crane was bent and needed to be aligned, check your crane. Greg in Va
  2. I tried the paper plate thing with my M&P Pro 9mm. But my shooting was at 10yds, 25yds and 50yds. My results were that I needed a bigger paper plate. At 10yds 3-4" groups, at 25yds 8-10" groups, at 50yds I had to use a D-1 Action Pistol target just to get the group to print on paper, the groups were about 18-24". I shot 115gr Lead, Jacketed, round nose and hollow point, I shot 124gr lead, Jacketed, round nose and hollow point, I shot 135 grain jacketed round nose and hollow point, I shot 145 gr lead semi wadcutters, I shot 147gr jacketed round nose and hollow point. My Springfield 5.25 in 9mm shoots groups that measure just under 3" at 50 yds.....go figure. Greg
  3. I'll second the Wideners as what looks like the best deal going. Greg
  4. I shot a model 66 6" for my first and second year at the cup. My ammo was HP-38 and a ZERO 158 gr. lead semi-wadcutter. If you use the 158's the lead for the mover at 25 yards is about 3-4 inches in front of the target, thats the only disadvantage on the heavy bullets, but the plates will go down easy. If you use the 148's and they are hollow base make sure they are thick based bullets or you might blow off the base, this would result in 2 holes in the target up close and no hole in the target at 50 yds. If you need any more help or have any questions just ask, metallic is what I shoot at the Cup, and I use a revlover. Greg in VA
  5. Very nice work....I like the way you cut it out in the middle. Greg
  6. I loaded 9mm on a 1050 for about 6 years, loaded between 80-100 thousand rounds per year. Used all kinds of brass and never had any problems with the swager, went thur several powder measures.... Greg
  7. You talk about a pin rod ? Yes, pin rod hidden and works well.
  8. You could always make an internal trigger stop....
  9. I put mine in while watching the video, took about 20 minutes............. Greg
  10. I understand the number is at around 220 so far.
  11. Several years ago I was shooting a stock 226 in 50 yard PPC, the load I was using was with 147 grain bullets. It would group inside the 10 ring of a standard B-27 target, 135's did well also, but the 124/125 bullets would not always stay inside the 10 ring. Out to 25 yards it did not matter which bullet I used.
  12. Who's going to the Cup this year..... I am. Greg in VA
  13. I used it for 148 HBWC's all the time, I also used for 105gr SWC's great powder very soft recoil.
  14. I started off with a lee 1000, that was a waste of my money, I then bought a 550, liked it so much I bought another one, then I got a deal on a used 1050, I don't use the 550's except to work up new loads. Go with the 1050 you will love it.....
  15. Are you wanting to build a parts gun or buy a complete gun from a gunsmith?
  16. When will the one for the AR-15 be ready?
  17. My 9mm Pro shoots groups that are easily measured with a yard stick! At 50 yards with the best load I could find or make, was 18". The load was a 147 gr. JHP....... Point of aim was off the target to get the bullets to hit the target. The worst load would not print all the rounds on a bianchi tombstone target at 50 yds. I to am waiting for the Bar-Sto barrel.
  18. Was shooting in a major match back in the day that compensated .45's ruled, shot to slide lock and started moving to the next shooting box while reloading, slamed a full mag in the gun and watched as all 8 rounds the follower and spring shot out of the ejection port.
