  1. Only thing that I bought was their take down lever which is pretty well-made and probably laser cut
  2. +1. I originally had a G17 that was my GSSF gun and Bought a G34 with intentions of building it for CO class, but a friend advised me to really shoot both to see if which one would feel best. Ended selling the G34 top end and kept the lower to be a back up for the G17.
  3. I really thought that with the original Delta point, there was finally a small red dot that we can slide mount and be reliable. IMO, the new Pro model is dicked up with the switch which I have seen failed. The only reason I can figure why the change is Leupold was listening to their ,marketing dept. more than real world shooters.
  4. His website is still up but he's not actively supporting sales. The e-store was still active and I tried to place an order. After a couple of unanswered emails, I lucky to get a refund from PayPal. There was one online dealer that had some for sale (only the small frame Glocks) that's it. Eric was the 1st to come out with "fitted" grip tape & it was the best.
  5. These recent Ghost connectors move the break point slightly earlier that stock patterned connectors. The "wall" is still there but barely percieved. My concern is now if the metal leg for the reset that rides will last as it is now thinner. Heard some people had issues ith that part breaking but Ghost should replace it. Anyone had that experince?
  6. Call Don Williams http://www.theactionworks.com
  7. A new GHOST holster is great and is very fast. However, if you get a used better check that ball bearing spring tension. I had my G35 released a few times when I had the lock off. Thereafter I changed the spring and I ran it the lock on all the time and learned to use that way.
  8. Got a longslide frome Lonewolf and was concerned about the thin lower edge of the front barrel slot. Is this normal for Lonewolf longslides? Any owners of this type of slide have had any issues? It concerns me that they machined the front cut that close to the lower edge (cracking?) The bottom pix are of my slide (10mm for a G20) Thank you!
  9. I believe for a "sandpaper" type of grip cover, Eric's Truegrips are the best. When installed as instructed, they have the best fit w/o any bulges. I bought some several years ago and needed some recently. I ordered from his website and had similar experience as others. I tried ro reach out to Eric with emails but had no response. If he would have just responded and acknowledged the order, I would have waited for the shipment. But after a month, I initiated a charge-back with PayPal. Eric has a great product but if he is unable to serve customers, he should find a partner to help him out. I think it would sell well amist all the competition.
  10. The Fort Knox model w/ the mechanical lock is a good. But please see this video on all of those electronic button or biometric keyed boxes: Although they have been UL tested and certified by the Calif. DOJ, I believe they are defective in design. I would not rely on those safes to keep children away from locked guns.
  11. I also have Ruger SR1911 CMD and have been very happy with it. My gun was assembled correctly and has worked fine through its 1st 1k rounds. Only thing that I replaced was the factory recoil spring to an 18 # spring. I think this gun is on par w/ Kimber and Springfield but offers a better value. It'll clean up really well for custom work or be be just fine in stock form. The only big issue that I've read were the front sights cracking off. Read more about this on the 1911 forum: http://forums.1911forum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=74
  12. Use a mount for a Jpoint (Opima), the pin spacing is different than a Docter
  13. Will also done pretty good work in S&W revolvers.
  14. Would be interested also. Please PM me when available
  15. Ordered a small parts set and it took a while to get to me. I don't really know if my other items were either cancelled or back ordered. Their site & catalog is nice, but honestly the blond models are hotter than the ones from Dillon (lol!)
  16. I've installed a Limbsaver for an 870. It's bigger than the normal one for a Benelli so it'll over hand on all edges. I'd go shorter if possible.
  17. An option would be for a gunsmith to use the EGW checkered insert. To do it right, you'd have to machine a pocket in the front strap, then braze or silver solder the insert in. Definiately less expensive than hand-checkering
  18. EGW recently added a .220 version of their beavertail. http://www.egwguns.com/miscellaneous-parts/egw-beavertail-grip-safety-.220-radius/
  19. This was posted on Rimfirecentral.com Anyone knows who makes this mount? Could be a "one-of" custom job.

    Ruger LC9

These guys are making "performance" replacement parts (hammer, trigger bar) which is suppose to shorten the pull and reset. http://www.gallowayprecision.com/lc9performanceparts.html There's a video on YouTube that details removing the mag safety which may smooth out the pull, but it doesn't really shorten it.
  21. Blue Mk II, Doctor sight Stainless Mk III Hunter, Leupold Deltapoint.
  22. I have found that ISMI is lower in weight than advertised. They also fatigue and lose power faster than Wolf. I am a Wolf spring user exclusively now.
  23. If you are shooting .22 LR (any brand, out of any gun) for 500+ rounds, you need to clean out the chamber, the bolt and extractor. Cleaning could be as simple as just wiping/brushing the areas out or it could be as extensive as breaking down the gun and doing a thorough cleaning. When the gun does jam, is it "failing to eject" the case once its out of the chamber, or is it "failing to extract" the case at all? If you are cleaning every few hundred rounds and still getting jams, the issue may be a weak extractor spring. Ask Ruger for a new one - it's not hard to change out.
  24. Like what Eric said, search on "Docter" (with an "er" not "or") http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=105943
  25. If you have "BIG" hands, the magwells like the Dawson's ICE will actually push the bottom of your palm out. The Cape's curve is lower. Here's one I purchased from Patrick Kelly and his pic. I'm looking for another stainless one. Please PM me if anyone has one for sale.
