  1. If you already have a race hammer, all you have to do is remove the disconnector. Does your trigger have pretravel and over travel adjustment screws? If not, that's what you really want for SAO. I don't have experience with a DA race hammer, but mine is SAO, and the hooks are very shallow (really just a groove) which is what makes it so crisp.
  2. Those are some really great ideas, thanks for sharing! I have been planning to do something similar to my Production Jericho.
  3. Piece of cake! I suggest using the stock hammer and trigger from the Tactical Sport; they're cheap and will give you a nice feel. But if you've got the budget, get the race hammer. With the race hammer, my TS has 2.75mm overall travel with a 2.2mm reset.
  4. I'm thinking I can open up the crown just enough for a nice tight fit and I should get the effect of a custom fit bull barrel, has anyone tried this?
  5. Max, I think regardless of your need to make Major PF, you're going to need some hot rounds to produce enough gas to make the gun work the way you want it to. As I understand, most V12 shooters are well beyond a power factor of 165.
  6. I'm curious... I would expect that besides the rifling, your comp/barrel ports will gunk up pretty fast.
  7. I think all that drilling would reduce the rotational mass significantly, but I'm not sure it's within the spirit of Production... Then again G34s and Shadows are not exactly service pistols either. Maybe that's why I'm in Limited!
  8. Your intuition is correct, the FPB pin has a notch for it to lock into, the Shadow pin is smooth. Should work fine.
  9. The further from the axis of rotation the better, the hole right next to the hammer pin would be hard to notice. If get the guts to do mine, I'll be cutting the spur off.
  10. Hollowing it out sounds like a great idea! I've been toying with bobbing the race hammer on my TS, but I'm too chicken.
  11. What does this mean? If the hits on the target are 1 bravo and 3 charlies, and it can't be determined which hits belong to the current shooter, the competitor doesn't get a re-shoot. Because B's and C's score the same, give the shooter 2 C's and move on. I had never noticed, why do they have separate B/C zones? Why not just A,B,C 5,4,2 (5,3,1)?
  12. Stan, I started typing a step by step, then deleted it and posted a nice video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQdWtwftxVw
  13. I have shot flawlessly with a 9mm barrel in my .40 Tactical Sport.
  14. Can you tell the difference with an extra 1/4" of barrel?
  15. I use small frame Glock pouches for my CZ/Small frame Tanfo mags and large frame Glock pouches for my Tactical Sport mags. Perfect fit.
  16. Small frame Glock mag pouches will work.
  17. I use these: http://www.cdnninvestments.com/be92rsrdemag.html
  18. Same here, the website showed "in stock", order went through, then got a call to cancel my order.
  19. I've owned both the large frame and the small frame .22 conversions and in my experience they need at least a 15# hammer spring to reliably light off primers and a high velocity 40 grain bullet to cycle the slide. I believe with a longer firing pin and some spring work (maybe some slide lightening) it could be made more reliable, but I didn't have the time for that project. I did throat the chambers which helped with feeding issues. Nealio bought my large frame, so maybe he got it working better?
  20. I'm back to re-thinking this again, and I' m going to try this approach a bit. I started out closing an eye, then did the tape thing, worked but was a hassle, tried both open and gave up, back to closing one........ now I think Steve has a great idea. I'm just going to dryfire till I don't need to close an eye. Maybe a couple weeks, maybe till I qualify as super senior, but we'll see. I shot Olympic pistol as a junior with a white paddle over my left eye and now I'm having a hell of a time shooting without something over my left eye. I just switched from masking tape to scotch tape to let more light in, I think I'll just keep shrinking the piece of tape until it disappears.
