  1. Yes but I couldn't hold it long enough to take a picture and I was afraid my wife would make fun of me if I asked her to take a picture so I could compare dongs with my shooting buddies on the internet!
  2. I tried the pre setting the gripper with my left hand and it seemed to make it harder??? I guess if you can't get all your fingers around the open gripper it might help, but my strength seems to be starting from the open position. I did try it up side down like you suggested and found it much harder; I baaarely got the #2 closed.
  3. If you want a 13# hammer spring, go to Wolff Springs' website and order the 13# hammer spring for the Beretta 92, it's the same spring. Although I like a fast hammer, so I use an 18# spring; a light hammer spring is a good way to lighten a DA pull, but on SAO, a race hammer and polished internals is the trick. My trigger is 1# 10oz with the 18# spring; sure I can get it lighter with a lighter spring, but it feels sluggish/mushy. The fixed rear makes an awesome slide racker, so if you change yours out I WANT IT! #14 recoil spring is just right for me, the 11# worked fine in practice, but the shit the bed in an outdoor match, so I don't risk it. I tried the Sprinco and didn't like it, but to each is his own. Congrats on the TS, enjoy.
  4. My point was that my hands are big enough to not have to pre-compress the gripper, but I know where your mind is Kita Don't let the picture fool you...
  5. Maybe its a hand size thing, but the close is the hard part for me, I'll try it tonight.
  6. Take it easy with all the aggression guys; I don't see the OP blaming anyone for the detonation of his pistol, just asking for stories of anyone else in a similar situation and hoping to get a little help from the manufacturer.
  7. I should try telling that to my customers, if I get a phone call it to say, "I sent an email TWO HOURS AGO and haven't received a reply yet!"
  8. This make sense to me toothguy and if Bob Vogel can close the #3, he really is a monster! That thing is no joke, I'm about a finger's width away from closing it strong hand, but it feels like a mile...
  9. If the pro shooter is pushing forward to counter the recoil, wouldn't a surprise light strike result in a lurch forward? I'm certainly not a pro shooter, but I've always visualized my upper body like a ransom rest when the shot breaks, providing the maximum resistance to movement, but not countering it.
  10. Pretty sure it's 3.5mm, maybe someone will confirm.
  11. That sounds like I good program, I'm going to try it. Thanks
  12. I have both, it doesn't matter. I bought them both used for under $200.
  13. What made you decide to stop grinding the slide and move to the frame?
  14. I have a GP100 with #8 TRS and #9 HS from Wolff which measures 5.5-6.0 pounds in DA and 2-2.5# in SA. I imagine some polishing of the internals would reduce those significantly as they're untouched right now. I've also never had a light strike with any type of primer, so if you ran Federals only you could also go lighter with the springs.
  15. He's got a Gold Team (it's in his screen name) and he's talking about his slide racker. Unfortunately I don't have a GT, so I can't help with that part.
  16. Mark, I would need 15mm dies for the large frame, I sent you a PM with the details two weeks ago that you haven't read yet.
  17. I've threaded three small frame barrels, so if you guys want to split the cost of the dies maybe we can work something out.
  18. I ordered a .40 conversion for a 550 from BE on 2/27 and it arrived 4/12
  19. Daniel, This is the base model Witness steel and my straight barrel upper came directly from EAA, no fitting was necessary as it fit like a glove right out of the box.
  20. Confidence is huge, comfort is too! I certainly feel more comfortable shooting my CZs/clones over anything I've ever shot, so that's what I shoot. In reality, I think I could shoot just as good with a Glock, but every time I pull the trigger on one I throw up in my mouth a little bit
  21. Here's a picture of my standard, large frame with a long slide conversion installed (long slide is the Match upper which uses the straight barrel, not the cone fit like the Limited, but it's the same length): The Gold Team slide is a 1/4" shorter than the Limited and the same length as your Stock upper. TS 40 to 9

I've shot 9mm through my .40 TS just switching barrels with no problems but it was just a practice session (150-200 rounds); reliability issues have a funny way of showing up in matches... If you try it for any extended period of time be sure to let us know how it works out. What I do know from experience is that .40 mags WILL NOT run 9mm ammo reliably, regardless of adjusting the feed lips. I was shooting a match using my adjusted .40 mags for 9mm and doing great until the last stage when I had a jam-o-matic on my hands! The lips spread and the loaded rounds started popping up out of the ejection port when the gun cycled.
  23. Why not all three? Do any of us only have ONE pistol?
  24. I agree it would be easier to remove the material from the slide to fit the frame, but then when you install that slide on your Czechmate to shoot Limited there will be a gap! That was my first plan: to buy a Czechmate and have get a TS upper for limited, but I just couldn't justify dumping $4K into my gun before shooting my first match, so I went the other direction and saved about $1,600 (although I'm still searching for the right comp)
