  1. Do you expect the volunteer with the clipboard to keep that straight? With the proposed 8 Minor rules Revo shooters will check the box or Major or for Minor; I think it's enough work to make sure no one declares Major with an 8 shot, but you want to complicate that further???
  2. All my barrels can load much longer with round nosed bullets so I stay away from JHP, but some guys swear they're more accurate.
  3. The Match is the biggest grip of all the Witnesses I've handled, my Hunter frame (which I'm 90% sure is the same as the Stock II) is slightly smaller.
  4. That makes two of us, so I guess my comment wasn't aimed toward you...
  5. I don't get all the negativity towards L10? USPSA made it a division, if no one where shooting it they would kill it, but there are people who prefer it so they shoot it; if you don't, don't.
  6. The Jericho is a great stand in for a Stock II at half the price and the internals are almost identical. Plus the Jericho has the long hammer spring like the CZ, I run an 11.5# in mine with no light strikes, 13# in a Tanfo with the short spring is right on the edge, like the 8.5# in my Jericho. The downsides are on flared mag well, no aggressive grip checkering, no cone lock barrel and fewer sight options.
  7. Get the DA pull down below 5# and it will fix everything.
  8. The light strikes could be fixed with a stronger hammer spring or softer primers. I haven't shot a Stock II, but I have an SP01 Shadow and many Tanfoglio; in my opinion the longer hammer spring and trigger bar spring of the CZ have better potential for a reliable, super light trigger. If you're happy with a 3 kilo DA pull it's a toss up although I like the frame checkering of the Tanfoglios better.
  9. I beg to differ, I'll buy damn near anything if it's cheap enough!
  10. I've got some 135gr 9major loads, they're soft, but leave much to be desired.
  11. If you're shooting a G34 I can only assume you're shooting Production, if that's the case, 115s are going to be way snappier than 124s.
  12. For which purpose? Production or Open? In Production I use 147s and plan to try 160s, but in Open I use 124s and plan to try 115s and 100s. Pistols without compensators feel softest with heavy bullets and fast powder, whereas the opposite is true of compensated pistols.
  13. I suspect that will be the case.
  14. In a TS the 9mm barrels and 40 barrels have identical outside dimensions, so yes it will fit, but you won't be able to chamber a 40 round using a 9mm slide because the breech face is too small. Chambering a 9mm round with a 40 slide works because the rim of a 9mm is smaller than the cutout in the breech face. The extractor is the same part for 9mm and 40, but the are not in the same place on the slide so is you shoot 9mm with a 40 slide you're grabbing the rim with the tip of the extractor, will this be a problem over time? Your guess is as good as mine. I'm no Glock guy, but I believe the 40-9 conversion barrels come with a custom extractor which is longer than the stock 40 extractor.
  15. It's not just the bullet weight, but the bullet profile; round nosed bullets load the longest in my CZs. I can go as long as 1.165" with Berry's 135s, Xtreme 124s are the same. I really like Unique with 124s, very soft. 5.5gr of Unique made 146PF with a 124 loaded 1.143" in my CZ, next time I plan to back down to 5.1gr.
  16. Either way you go, comp or ports, I think you'll get the best results with the popular 'Open powders' (HS6, Autocomp, etc.)
  17. Twister, are you referring to a 75B? For the 75B the 9mm barrels have an OD of 12.75mm, whereas the .40 barrels are 14mm; all the other models (TS, SP01, Shadow have 14mm OD barrels for both 9mm and .40.
  18. I bought a Witness Hunter in .45 because I wanted to try a 6" gun, but couldn't find one in 10mm; the 140mm mags only hold 13 rounds so L10 it is.
  19. I would call the office about that, which carrier? UPS, USPS or FedEx? I think they all include the first $100 in insurance with the cost of shipping.
  20. M3, are you using a CZC spring and follower in that 75 mag? I get 23 in both. I also have a big stick for both: 29 reloadable in the TS and 28 reloadable in the 75 although I've never tried tuning that one. I also have a Tanfoglio small frame tube which fits 24, but it's more like 143mm.
  21. Yes, I've done it without any problems. I tried it with .40 mags at first, but as I got to the last few rounds in the mag it would upchuck. As far as the other way around, that's called .41 Action Express, the first Jerichos were available with conversion mags and barrels, hence the name: Jericho 941.
  22. The Hunter is already so long, if I wanted a compensated top end for a Hunter I would use a Match slide with a threaded Hunter barrel and a comp like Mark did with his Match: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=60614
  23. The efficiency of the ports is going to depend greatly on the powder you're using, do you reload?
