That's what I keep telling my wife! Although I now have a safe full of competition guns; the problem is that I fall in love and don't want to sell any of them.
I have yet to load so long as to hang up a round in the mag and I have gone 1.165" in both my TS and my small frame Tanfo, I'm limited my the chamber in both.
I did it with my TS and it put them all in the ten ring with both calibers. The breech face is .5mm bigger on the extractor side so the extractor doesn't have the same spring tension, but I didn't have any issues. Over thousands of rounds I would expect the extractor to wear out and cause problems, but what the hell?!?
I just picked up a T120 and it's great!!!
As tightly fit as my Shadow, although the checkering on the front and rear of the frame is not so sharp.
It does have a FPB.
I would assume the slide is just as hard as the frame. Do you have a mill? I've been fitting a large frame barrel to my Jericho 941 (don't ask me why...) and the slide on that one is VERY HARD too!
I have an out of state FFL that will do SSEs for CZs, I'm sure he can be talked into doing it for Tanfos too
PM me for details.
A Tanfoglio with a six inch barrel is only 10 1/4" long overall, the SSE requires 10 1/2" overall, so I made my own barrel and I've been using the hell out of it!
