  1. Be sure to check out the CHA-LEE method: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=76873 or get yourself one of these :
  2. Sounds like the Cheely then!
  3. Thanks for the tip Thomas, anyone want to go in on 3,000?!? http://www.globalindustrial.com/p/fasteners/Machine1-Screws/Pan3-Head/m3-5-0-6x10-metric-pan-head-machine-screws-M3-510D7985A?infoParam.campaignId=T9F&gclid=CjwKEAjw-JqgBRCAyqjoic27nlQSJABBTpFEJmL5TFqQ37V0H-GyURqdqdwasKQqg_mqnPUD7pT7VBoChQrw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
  4. With the 5.4" bull barrel it's going to be pretty long and heavy, so I would go for a shorter comp (the new Akai fish gill comp) and with all those holes I would think the slap in the palm would be more of a concern than the muzzle rise. Depending on the size/position of the holes you may be limited in the powders which will make major for you, but I think something like Autocomp would work well.
  5. The Torx is a big pain, the flat head less than optimal because you can get off center and scratch your grips, so I actually prefer the Philips head screws from CZ: http://shop.cz-usa.com/ProductDetail/309247003508_Grip-Screw-75859783
  6. The grip screws are M3.5 and I've never found them outside the gun world. That being said the CZ screws are the same and cost much less.
  7. More weight in the barrel, less in the slide, no noticeable difference in accuracy.
  8. Really interesting... I've never tried the Cheely comp, but heard lots of good things (confused me though because it doesn't look like much).
  9. OK, I see it now, it's an Alliant powder; I have nothing meaningful to contribute, carry on
  10. Are you trying to say Nealio's weenie arms soak up the recoil and save his guns?!?
  11. What was your load Calvin? There's a whole world out there so many Open shooters never experience above 170pf, they just work up to major and stop. PS: if you've never tried 115s you're really missing out.
  12. You don't have to worry about your wife finding out about things if you just tell her, and continue doing whatever you think is best. I pay the mortgage and buy most of the food and finance the vacations and fund the retirement accounts, so my wife doesn't really care what else I spend my money on. Honesty is a virtue. I enjoy coming home and telling my wife about the great deal I just got today! She certainly isn't a fraction of the gun nut I am, but she enjoys my passion and take a genuine interest in the things I love. The important part is to reciprocate.
  13. Yes you need some really gassy loads ~ 150pf to get any effect.
  14. Damn! Glad you're alright, I found my first reload with a primer jammed in sideways and imagined what it would be like if it lit off... I still tried to shoot it, but it wouldn't go off
  15. The Stock II slide is a little wider and the trigger guard won't click in.
  16. It's been said this sport is full of rednecks and geeks, but where are the rednecks???
  17. Fire Sprinkler subcontractor; we design, fabricate, install, service and inspect wet, dry, foam and clean agent suppression systems. The best part about the construction industry is all the wonderful toys!
  18. I agree Bamboo, Henning's magwell has the perfect amount of space for the weak hand to wedge between the trigger guard and mag well.
  19. Step by step instructions here: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=191773
  20. There are only four slides which will fit the bill: Stock I or Stock II in 9mm or 38 super. Where'd you get the barrel?
  21. I have lots of guns and no two are the same so I'd really like to have two per division which at least take the same ammo. That's a start right?
