  1. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but whips and chains excite me....
  2. My connection sucks...sorry
  3. Another vote for Para...Mine are all 18 round re-loadable only with the Rescomp +1 shoe/basepad and fit the box. Throw in a Wolff spring and Aradondo follower and you have 19 reloadable.... Sorry for the drift off S_I....
  4. ooops.... and he does his roll-up, this guy is cool as a cucumber....
  5. Just heard on the radio that Houston, Texas took the nr 1 spot for the 4th time in the last 5 years as the fattest city in the States.....
  6. Yep, so it is ammo manufactured for PMC by PMP. There is no PMC plant in RSA only a contract to deliver ammo...
  7. Too_Slow you are too good. Thanx for the link and info
  8. In that case most of us should keep quiet around here Welcome and have fun....
  9. What I have found is that one can roughly calculate 45min to 1hr per stage with squads of 10-15max. This will allow for re-shoots and ensure a speedy but not pressured pace. Number of squads 1 more than number of stages incl chrono and you have a lunch hour that you float between 10:00-15:00 easing pressure on the refreshment facilities.... From that the slots are easy to calculate for Full-day and Half-day formats. Sunday half-day is a must
  10. If this target array is motor driven and activated by a door/switch/button/window/pressure plate/whatever the consistency will be the same for all and be OK if it doesn't stop (non-disappearing target). What were you thinking of Flex?
  11. Thanx GM...fast on the trigger...faster on the reply button... Unluckily VV only list the .300WM. But I'll start there. Got some VV N160 which I wanna try. The South African powders might work fine. Looking at S365 and S385 which are about Norma 204 and MRP. The only "problem" is that Somchem gives only data for .300WM and when I phoned them they said "use 3gr less for the .308NM"...hate answers like that. Should I start ±10% down on the data above?
  12. South Africa???? Where and when was this? I know that PMP (Pretoria Metal Pressings Pty Ltd) loads ammo for various companies and packs it for them, but I did not know that PMC had a plant there....
  13. I'm busy building a .308 Norma Magnum and find that reliable load data is relatively scarce. If anyone can supply data for 150gr, 165gr, 180gr and 200gr premium grade bullets (bonded Hornady/Sierra/other, Barnes, Nosler, Swift, etc) I will appreciate it. Please specify powder type and load weight, vel measured (not guessed), accuracy at what distance, case and loaded round OAL, primer used, crimped or nor, etc. Thanx
  14. Current international trends are such that in 20 years there will be no guns..... Back to serrations thread....
  15. I will have to go with "Rules of Engagement (2000)" for now....
  16. If you don't pay the 11 year old enough don't be surprised when you find your brass thrown around like fertiliser....
  17. Leave the SA guns out of production. If you wanna shoot a 1911 style gun, get the LDA and use that. I think it even comes in a SS.

    Ballistol

Ballistol oil is real old in this part of the world. It was developed by the Germans as a, lets call it, general purpose oil/medicine - yes you read that correctly! The oils is good for wood, metal and leather. Best you can get for sharping knives... It also has medicinal properties for treating minor cuts and scrapes and it works very well for an upset stomach, take a teaspoon or two, and for a sore throat. There are many other oil and medicinal uses for it. I've been using the stuff for years for all the above, but have used it less on my guns due to it being water based and hence not being the best rust preventative. I however use it exclusively on my reloading equipment.
  19. Over here only barrels are controlled and considered "a gun". Anyone wanna send spares over here?
  20. This might sound stupid, but can one not buy a blank with no serrations? Don't know the Caspian range, but S_I does it....
  21. At 8600kg/m³ that would be 162.772716kg of brass assuming solid compaction...
  22. Send one to Africa (...me) and we'll help with a smile....
  23. Has anyone had any feedback yet on the illegal billings to your CC?
  24. if you haven't paid yet - cancel and buy somewhere else!
