  1. My 1977 slide cracked: 3x ejection port 2x front of slide where the recoil sprg goes 1x catch where slide stop goes will check where the other 3 were... And I've just seen a HP where the frame cracked (2x) where the barrel link bar goes through. The bar was broken as well. I luv a HP but I don't think its made for lots of shooting....
  2. We mark the ground and dump a tyre on the frame for the same reasons as above...they stay put well enough....
  3. Since times should be recorded on the SS, it will be easy to determine the warning and subsequent proc....
  4. I can't wait for these results. I cracked my HP slide in 9 (yes nine) places after about 35000 rounds. Fixed it and it is still my nr 1 joice for carry.....
  5. I got no idea what the USPSA rules look like so I'll let the experts answer that part. The second part about warnings is easy. Every RO just has to write it on the score sheets...and someons at stats will/should pick it up and add the proc's.... just my 0.02
  6. Let's stay away from the trucks/cars/trunks/gloveboxes/etc....we'll flood the servers fast....
  7. Life is to short to own ugly guns and nice guns are too expensive not to shoot them. This gun looks nice and is expensive - so USE IT!!
  8. This should become a "must read" for all before you can even join the forum. Vote for best post to date!
  9. Damn, I WANT one, two,....a dozen..........
  10. The first option is supposed to read minor and not major - can Mod/Admin please fix....
  11. From my experience minor PF outperforms major PF in IPSC rifle shooting. This appears to be because the points difference between the two does not relate to the time gain. In HG competitions it appears to be more fair. What are your thoughts?
  12. WTF......? The vacuum inside my wallet - don't know why I carry it...mostly for firearm licences and ID.... And I only wear blue jeans - no cargo's here.....
  13. Does anyone have experience with the 30 round FNFAL mags that DSA sells? Especially the metric pattern ones.... Is there any other place I can lay my hands on 30 rounders for the FAL?
  14. That I can understand. What I don't understand is how some people still manage to shoot their chronos even with iron sights on. Don't laugh...if seen it happen very often...even the chrono drivers at matches who should know how not to....
  15. I used to shoot a BHP in IPSC std div (fit the box - not 140mm mags) and was very satisfied with it. The hammer bite got sorted out with time. I switched to a Para to make major, extra capacity, etc. My scores did go up a lot by switching. The BHP however remains my primary carry gun and my wife uses it for IPSC shooting and does well with it.....
  16. Here's an idea. Why don't you give the 650 to one of your shooting buddies as a "gift" with the condition that if you come by and dump primers/cases/bullets/powder he/she will have ammo on hand according to your spec within 1 week. They get a nifty press and you get your ammo..... ...with the same benefits as loading yourself with no hassle....
  17. Front left: Wallet with a enclosed vacuum Front right: Car/house keys Rear: Odds and ends like cell, papers, etc Money pocket: FN Baby Browning - fits perfect Belt: Leatherman Wave and FN HP/Para P16-40/.357Mag or whatever gun I feel like and the days requirements are....

    Telescope Game

Stuck on 23.....for now....nice game! Wish it was as easy getting the ball to where you know it must go....
  19. After scanning through the thread, here are my 0.02..... I bought a Lee 1000 to get into progressive loading from a friend, loaded 100 rounds in about 2 hours. The amount of hassles made me sell it the next day. I'm back to my RCBS Reloader 5 single stage and am happy since. If I someday have the money to spend I might consider a Dillon, but till then I'll rather sit a load for longer and be happy than be frustrated by something that sometimes might work....
