If you're loading, you're also processing. That doubles the use of dies, buy once, cry once. I use my 1050 for processing only and load on the 650. With 0ver 80K documented pcs of 223 processed. That extra $$ spent up front pays off in the long run. If you're buying a 1050 you intend to load in volume, over time. IMO that is commercial loading.

Have not run in to any issues with Varget to date. I switched over to 8208xbr as it's easier to locate (in stock) than Varget . It's also a shorter stick than varget, good results with 75gr hornady bthp's

It's normal sized, the chamber indicator is throwing it off. The faxon 14.5 is nice, running the 16" faxon .625 is this close to the 14" when you factor in a 2" pinned hider or brake. Ran a CF hand guard on the spouses SBR, just swapped it for a longer ALG EMR, with again minimal difference in weight.

I agree, for the quantity RT is doing, the 650 will be a better investment. The money saved can be invested in components.

I solved the plate jump by adjusting the case slide insert. Spent a few looking it over as the press indexed to next station. Timed it to slide the case in as it locked in to station. There are aftermarket "upgrades" one can do, if so inclined. As for Dillon doing said upgrades , now sending out presses with them. I'm sure people would complain. Well i'd buy a Dillon,if they weren't so expensive. Stick with the blue press, or sell it and buy another brand. You'd be surprised how much bang for the buck you'll be missing with another press.

I've yet to see any Fed case over 1.74, if that. Until fired, then they maybe 1.745ish, maybe. I process on a 1050, using the rt1200 trimmer. I set trim length to 1.745 for longer firings before needing to trim again.

Those HF trailers are great. If you understand their limitations, don't expect much and have repair parts on hand. WE had one worked it hard.It was kept in a covered area,1 year after we had it, paint /coating falling off, frame was rusting The only reason we purchased it... the original owner was moving that day and wanted it gone. For $75 it was worth it. For your needs, i tell you avoid them. Craigs list it a good start for used, end of summer don't want to store it, deals. Not sure where you live in jersey(what exit) I'd buy this unit. Agree. it's the comfort level of the one reloading.

I use factory rounds in select fire guns. This way IF there is an issue. They're on the hook for it. Paying more for factory is one less worry, especially when replacing a $12 - 20K item isn;t something one can find that easy.

I'm running 55gr JSP's SX's and SMK's with no issue. usually with 22.5gr of 2230

Good question OP. I'm looking at the 8202 and TAC for the 75gr Privi's. Curious what load with 8208 you're using. AS it;s right in between TAC and 223 i use for the 55's.

I run a YHM Cobra. My SR1911 and 21 have factory sights. No issue hitting what i aim at, running the 200gr xtreme, but the RN.

Depending which caliber / tool head. it's Dillon, RCBS with a Lee FCD to round it out. I process 223 on the 1050 , when loading 223 it's on the 650 . I use the lee universal decapping for any media stragglers. Everyone has their preference, what works for one isn't alway a cure all for another.

Using the 125 Xtreme with 4.1 TG 1.140 OAL , I'm using a LW threaded bbl in the 19 open & suppressed getting good groups. Using 3.8 - 3.9 gave me sluggish cycling too. For the 19, a 10.5 GM QC10 / DDLES glock lower and 16" carbine. The 4.1 has been the most consistent through the platforms we run. When using xtreme 147 fmj the load is reduced to 3.3gr TG.

Titegroup for 9 was suggested years back. I purchased kegs when it was $110 or less. Then i started loading 38/357 & 45. In comes the H110. Then i had better results using unique for 38spl w/ hornady 158 xtp's out of the lever. SO i've bartered for unique, then bullseye, i have a few lbs sitting in tins, will get some range time once it gets warmer / spring. You cannot have enough componnent wise to get comfortable. Especially when stores have TG one day then Unique, H335, H110 or bulleseye the next. For rifle X-terminator, TAC or 2230 has performed well enough to buy / backorder and wait. But back to the OP's question. Once i find a load that works, it's a done deal. Having the option to use other powders & bullets on hand is one of the benefits of reloading vs. complaining there's no ammo on the shelves / in stock.

i run 4.0 TG for the 115 plated xtremes. As mentioned using data for lead loading specs.

Probably be a tad snappier in the 938 with the smaller frame & bbl.

I have 40 yr old unique and bullseye that look like the container was just opened. Your BE looks good, color wise.

Likewise. Do you have to pay for S&H, sometimes. A part i have the CC ready to purchase is covered, while one i "thought" was, cost me. However their overall CS, timely shipping of parts and warranty IMO puts them hands above other reloading press / parts companies.

While it may not be cost effective at this time, it's always a good time to buy componnents. Can i buy ready to go for a good price, yes. However i don't get that satisfication ordering on line as i do when pulling the handle.

1.10 - 1.40 depending on powder. HOWEVER recommended Load data and Plunk test (single 9mm) IF you don't have a case guage (multiple 9's) are good starting points.
