  1. Welcome back. I to have a weakness for a glock 17. I have also shot a 47, that said I'll keep my 17. The 47 was fine, and I felt with more than 3 mags I could be fine with it. For me I have put to many rounds thru and am too use to the feel of the trigger and recoil impulse of my 17, but could totally mve to the 47 with enough time on the platform. That said I get what the US boarder patrol was after with this contract.
  2. Bought one, impulse. I've ran about 300 rounds thru it, 250 factory, 50ish hand loads. I'm a glock guy, tried sig and M&P's, and others, but always drift back to a golck 17. Current number one gun is a Glock gen 5 17 MOS with around 50,000 rounds. That said I'm thinking of running the Springfield next year. Like the lower mount for optics, the stock trigger is not bad, it sits well in the hand, like the grip texture. Looking forward to what the after market will bring out for it. All and all it is a glock 17 for those that don't like Glock, and don't like Sig 320 mush triggers.
  3. Burnt up 8 pounds and have 16 more, love it! It has been the best 9 minor powder I've tried to date, cleaner then titegroup, cheaper and meters better than N320. Will say it is not smoke free, but 1st world problems. If I was to chose a 2nd place I would go with cleanshot/AA#2.
  4. So it has been out for a bit, I have one looking for a home in one of three glocks. How have they been? Looking for real feedback. In the past I've just ran the TTI grand master kit and been happy, is this that much better?
  5. Not 100% but the mags look short, like a bit short for the grip.
  6. Loved old Clays, now I've moved on to clean shot with good results.
  7. I don't think the current product Stacato pushes out the door are worth the price. I was saving for a Stacato, but I help a friend out part time in his gun store and he got a 4.25 prodigy in, so I got it at cost. I've shot a friends older Stacato and loved it, but another friend got one 4 months ago, and to be honest it is not fit as well, has a trigger no where near as good as the my stock prodigy. I'm no saying the prodigy dose not have room or need to improve, cause it dose. We've had three more Stacato P's come through the shop for transfer and all of them have the same amount of disco drag the gun tuber experts are in a rage about with the prodigy. That said, my prodigy has been 100% so far after around 1200 rounds. The thumb safety is not fit well, notchy feel, the tigger shoe is a bit sloppy, but the frame to slide fit is great. Just put in a new sear, disco and hammer, and tweaked the leaf spring, big improvement, nice crisp brake, was a bit mushy, hope to test fire sometime today.
  8. Not a fan of Scotch, but do like me some Bourbon, haven't had an Old Forester yet that I didn't like. Yellowstone and Four Roses and some good ones also.
  9. I got a few to try, love them, the old power mags is what I did use (and some 47d's) until finding the Railed Power mag. So Plus 1 on the railed power mags.
  10. Look who it's made by, it will more than likely work perfect.
  11. How have you gotten someone to take the rains over? I've gotten people to be guest match directors and help put the match together, but how to push them over the edge? I'm at the point I would like someone to step up, I'm done, I would like to just be able to shoot matches for fun again.
  12. I did the Atlas rod also, I have had it lock up three times while shooting. I think I would like too try the 10 pound spring also, who's spring did you go with. I really feel I got lucky, the 4.25" I have has been 100% until the atlas rod. Also found the hotter the load the nicer the gun feels, main reason I would like to try the 10# recoil/19# main spring combo, thinking lighter loads might feel more like the hot +P stuff withe stock springs. As far as mim parts go, I don't care, other than true custom stuff I would be willing to bet mim parts are in everything.
  13. Got the EGW magwell, nice fit. So it works very well with the factory 20's and Stacato 20's, 126mm mags not so good. The factory 17 rounds will lock in if you make them, but are bellow flush by 1/4" to 1/2". Stacato 126mm lock in easier, but are still less than flush. Not an issue for USPSA 140mm mags, but if you are going to run 126mm mags you will need to find a thicker base plate. Did try a MBX defender 20 round mag and it is perfect for the mag well.
  14. Yes, I load Gallant and Blues, and ever know and then Accura plated.
  15. Like Sport Pistol a lot, second would be Clean Shot, third place would be Titegroup. Sport Pistol is a fair amount cleaner and runs cooler than Tightgroup, Clean Shot is just that in my findings, runs clean but take more to make the same speed. Sport Pistol and Clean Shot both seem to have a tiny bit softer feel at the same speed, no science to bake it up, just the way it feels to me.
  16. Was able to mess around and put 300 rounds through it Sunday, mostly just shooting 8 to 10 inch plates at 25 to 50 yards. Runs like a top, shot mostly reloads that ran 136ish in a X5, then some fed 130 PCC lipstick rounds. Seems to function great.
  17. YES, if not try reaching out to Tim Herron and try to put a class together.
  18. For coated I've been very happy with The Blue Bullets or Gallant.
  19. Think I would rather have the option of just a 6-8 moa dot with no ring, but might try one anyway, who knows the 2 moa and 8moa ring might work.
  20. And Maybe is was a sarcastic comment after hearing Phil on every pod cast trying to say the X Macro isn't comped, but is now IDPA legal but not in USPSA. Just saying.
  21. Is Sig the next IDPA Nats sponsor?
  22. Atlas put a video out saying the the bow needs tweaked a little for their's to work also. I sure it would be the same for other makers.
