  1. From the group of dutch IPSCproductionshooters i know two people that shoot the Para LDA in 9 mm. As for as i know both are quite happy with the gun Greetings Adrie
  2. From a secure and small country called the Netherlands, home of the people that discovered NY. Thanks for illuminating the Empire State Building to commemorate that. Adrie
  3. NPSA 86-259, nice to have you with us in August. I will try to make time and go around the accomodation you booked when i am there in June. Ofcourse i will stay in the same location like last year, it's about a 2 minutes walk from the place where the openingceremony will be. Pitty closing ceremony is in an other town. CU around Adrie
  4. " The basis for the Second Amendment is NOT sport or hunting - but the right of the individual to ultimately protect himself/herself - and even oppose the government with force. " After reading this thread i think the basis for the right of the individual to ultimately protect himself/herself is also the basis for the huge contamination in your country of all that what you call Armchair Commandos. It is clear not everyone is capable to manage the rights that come with this Second Amendment. Greetings from the Netherlands Adrie
  5. I agree with Flexmoney for a great part. Myself i always buy oncefired brass and select it on headstamp. When i reload i do a visual inspection of the brass, i shoot it once on trainingsessions and after that i keep it as "oncefired" (in my barrel) and use that for the ammo at the bigger matches. Btw, i am talking .40 brass. Greetings Adrie
  6. Steve, for the weather in the Netherlands please check regularly at : http://www.weeronline.nl/cgi-bin/citybild?WMO=06266&LANG=nl Just posted my order for your book and i think with the snail mail it will reach you in 8 or 9 days. Greetings from the Netherlands Adrie

Hi there Bjorn, did you forget you are gonna face your opponent already 7th mai at the 4th edition of level III Ironhands? We both have something to settle there. Greetings Adrie (btw drop in somewhere this week to help me put a picture in my member profile, can't seem to do it myself) Thanks mate! Looking forward to meeting him again at the EC in Tabor. No home advantage there BTW, Will you be there too?
  10. I don't see it as a problem because each time a open a new 2kg can of N340 (thats at least 3 times in a year) i will check my loads for pf with a chronograph. Recently i noticed with the newest lot (made from 2003) of VV i need more powder to get the same PF. The worth is that VV gave there powder more volume. Double charges can be detected easier by eye that way. Therefore they added more non burning material. You will notice that too. To give you an indication, with the older lots of VV N340 i used 5.2 grain under a 190 grain FMJ PRVI .40 for an average PF of 175. Now i use 5.5 grain N340 Greetings Adrie

    Broken Striker

Parts of te tip came of but had no effect on the strikers function. Did break several aftermarket strikers totally thusfar. Greetings Adrie
  12. Hi Spook, I think you contamined me with the virus that causes guns to break few days for a match. Just yesterday at the range my skeletonized firing pin broke And you weren't even there..... The only replacement i have is the stock fring pin. Now my trigger isn't what it used to be and i am used to There's a good chance that i'll have the right replacement before we go to Vienna next thursday but saturday and sunday i'll have to shoot with my stock firing pin. Greetings Adrie
  13. Well i am glad i have a slot already. I noticed that in the " other regions" competitorslist Hong Kong is mentioned. Will you be there as an active shooter too Vince? Greetings Adrie
  14. I sometimes do estimate the HF and occasionally it influences the way i would should a stage. But also depending from how i am doing in the match thusfar. Calculating the HF so you can better judge whether to take a M or not sounds like bullshit to me. For the rare occasion (in the Netherlands) that the last target to shoot is a MPP or plate at long distance and you decide not to shoot it more than once after missing it the first time sounds more like gaming a stage. Greetings Adrie
  15. I am with John Dunn, at the bigger matches abroad i bring with me 2 identical weapons (G35's with exact the same modifications) When i wasn't blessed with a spare gun and still shooting IPSC standard division with my G34 i had to quit a match because the slide lockspring broke..... Today besides a spare gun i also have some $2.00 springs in the bag. Greetings Adrie
  16. Hi Tweety , the Manurhin is the only one i never used. I think i compete in * a little* more competion matches then you and i can say all my glocks are used/beat up pretty well. Dito for the Winchester rifle. But some weapons like a Manurhin MR73 aren't made anymore in the way they got their famous name. Even there aren't reports of a MR 73 that was worn out by shooting so it couldn''t hurt to use it i consider it a gun to be used only for special occasions. A kinda collectors item You can compare it with Schmitz his Porsche Only a little better And yes, i am weird Greetings Adrie
  17. Henny if you seriously want to hit the road for the pleasure of using the Porsche you should start visiting the bigger IPSCmatches in the surrounding countries. Then you can combine it with even more IPSCfun. Greetings Adrie
  18. And you achieve these weapons in with the knowledge you were not gonna use them?
  19. Some years ago i was told be a friend he knew someone that was going to sell a very special gun. It was a Manurhin MR73 Gendarmerie that had only fired 500 mild magnum shots . I had never owned a revolver and this was a beautiful one from very extreme high quality and almost new. I bought it for a very good price. My purpose was to use it in matches like EPP, service pistol etc. Thusfar i have never ever shot one bullet through the barrel. I shoot a lot but somehow i never came to fire this revolver last years. But i like to look at this weapon sometimes and i like it a lot. I always tell myself that when i quit IPSCshooting i will start to use this one for bullseyeshooting. Am i very weird or are ther more people with an unused gun in the safe? Greetings Adrie
  20. Thanks for the faith in the performance of Spook and myself. One of the things i am trying to improve is to be steady during the whole shooting season. (hoping a peak towards the end of august ) Last year i a was a bit over my peak during Czech Nationals and Czech Euro open. This year i try to avoid that be a good choose of the matches to attend. Considering data, traveltime, competition matches in the Netherlands and family matters unfortunately i had to make another choose for the match in Cheval-Blanc. Thusfar i am registred for the following level III matches 27 march Vienna Austria 7 mai Lauf Germany (Ironhands) 6 june Sprimont Belgium (Euregio) 26 june Oparany Czech Nationals So i wil not be at the Med-Cup but i am sure we can meet again somewhere somehow in the future. Greetings Adrie
  21. Hello Luca i sounds you had a more than great time overthere. And France had some nice cold and windy birthday presents for you too Congrets with your birthday from the netherlands! In a few weeks forummember Spook and myself will leave for Vienna and try to kick some ass overthere. Last year i had a good time overthere and it was nice to meet you. Hope to see you in one of the following editions of that match. And remember : the older you get the faster you looked I hope we see Julien getting very old! Greetings Adrie
  22. I replaced this plastic spacer once in my G34. At that time i a had some problems with the resetting of my trigger. Took everything apart and find out the spacer was cracked, replaced the spacer and found that i still had the same problems. The problems with the reseting were due to a bend triggerbar. The spacer was probably cracked for a long time but it didn't effect the function of my G34. Both my G35's still have the some spacers. Greetings Adrie
  23. Henny, i tried the kitty litter, not the kitty excrements
  24. I have washed walnut-media several times. But always in a bucket and that works okay for me. By the way corn-cob media is not realy cheap overhere. I also tried the corn-cob kitty litter, cheaper and it works. Disadvantage was the amount of dust that it spread when sifting the brass. Greetings Adrie
  25. I guess i am doing something wrong After a long trip of 200 km with 24.000 190 grains FMJ PRVI bullets in my own car i was ready to reload but to tired after storing them at the attic where my reloading area is situated. Greetings Adrie
