  1. Sharon Stone as performing in "The quick and the Dead" got my serious attention. But the mentioned woman in this thread are also fine to meet i would say. I think the more woman that will be mentioned the more dificult it is to make your choice and stick to it. After practising some shooting and driving back home Spook and I often come to the subject of woman. But his preference for Gwyneth Paltrow i didn't know. Adrie
  2. Hello Bjorn, (this is confusing but we will get used to it!) Spook (Bjorn) is a shooting buddy from me. The person you met in the Rio Salado Classic must be Gerald Appelhof. He is a fine shooter and a nice person too. He told me he was B-class by now. Greetings Adrie
  3. Which of the forummembers in europe will attend these match? http://s-c-w.net/schwaigertrophy/schwaigertrophy.htm I saw a lot of italian shooters from Team o Fire in the squadlist. Last year "USA Master" Rick Firebaugh attended the match but i didn't see USA shooters on the squadlist thusfar. For me it's the first time to shoot overthere If anyone could give me some advice about the shooting conditions at the ranges in those Vienna cellars it would be appreciated. We will shoot in squad 28 DVC Adrie de Bot

    Glock and Reloads

I never had problems with reloaded ammo in my G34 and G35. Both have standard barrels. 9 mm are loaded on a hornady projector and .40 on a SDB. The only thing i do extra is resize all my .40 brass on a singlestage Hornady 007 with an EGW sizing die. My second G35 that i'll make my current a backup gun will have a BarSto barrel and i expect the extra sizing could be skipped. Further more i agree totally with Intel6 Greetings Adrie
  5. Quote: from Philip Dedmon on 2:34 pm on Nov. 22, 2002 I have been using there product for about 3 years now. IMO there is not a better spring and I know for a fact there is no better service. I use ISMI recoil and mag springs in my G35 and fully satisfied with the quality. By the time this thread started however during cleaning my gun i found the 17 lbs recoil spring was broken. Just e-mailed ISMI and got an answer : Adrie, I suspect that the spring might have going to coil bind at full rearward slide travel. This would explain the break due to work hardening of the material. An examination will give us the answer. Thanks, Marc C. Haven't got further information about the possible explaination but i already got 2 new springs for one broken. I know for a fact that's a good service Greetings Adrie
  6. Well i am conviced, next year i will try the CR speedgear. Just ordered the CR 2001 holster for Glock. (wich should be better than the model G. ) Also ordered some new model magpouches with the adjustment screws as standard. The safariland magpouches with 11/2 "l oops just don't fit the CRspeed-belt. Rescomp.co.za didn't answer my e-mails, strange...... So i ordered for the same price at Saul Kirsch's new company http://www.DoubleAlpha.biz DVC Adrie
  7. Beven, i think it was a frustrating experience for the both of us, losing these shipments. You have more than a good name overhere as a person and for the quality of your products. Gerald Appelhof who visits the states very often could take a parcel for me if necessary. At the moment i use brass magwells that needed a lot of work with a file to fit the box. Greetings Adrie
  8. At the end of the competion in your small region, forummember Spook can say he won 4 qualifiermatches with great distance. If he could have done some more matches he had won the revo competition. Now he is moving up to A-class. New forummember DoubleMike holds his strong position in the B-class standarddivision. Also new forummember Oleg_R could rock his glock 35 standarddivision in the last match good enough to move to A-class. I am glad i could follow him that way with my G35. I hope next year we will be able to at least perform at the same level in competion and have again fun and good results in the level III matches through europe. Greetings Adrie
  9. Spook, considering the situation at the range , the "stress" you had (caused by the malfunction of your revo the day before the match etcetera) and it was only your 5th qualifiermatch you have done very well. This course wasn't ment to be easy and you weren't the only one who made this mistake. Forum and clubmember "doublemike" was blessed he only got 2 mikes at the one target he had two misses and didn't get the procedural. DVC Adrie
  10. Quote: from IPSC CHIK1 on 12:47 am on Dec. 17, 2002 Ed never had to shoot a match against Jerry. he would lose. SharonAnne L2387 I think If Ed could shoot a match against Jerry, he would like to win. But could lose. Greetings Adrie
  11. Yes, please inform about the Glock magwells and if you could ship to the Netherlands. It isn't that far from France.... I remember that several attempts to send me a spring kit for glockmags didn't succeed. DVC Adrie

    Problem

Bjorn let me know which smith would and/or could help you. Maybe tomorrow i visit mine in the morning and you could join me. In the afternoon i'll be at the range in Almere i think. Anyway, CU sunday with revo or pisto DVC Adrie
  13. MCO i hope you get a respons from rescomp. 29th of november and 5th december i also shot some mails but i think i missed because there's no respons yet.... One of the things i asked was if safariland magpouches with 11/2 " loops are suposed to fit their Nylon Reinforced Competition Belt . Before i switch to the right forum for this question maybe i can get an answer here? Greetings Adrie
  14. Quote: While driving today I saw a bumper sticker with the line, "Are you on the right road?" Even though it was obviously a reference to religion, it still made me think about shooting. What it told me was to never assume just because things are going good that you are on the right road. Something can be improved upon in every shooter, you just have to be able to see your deficiencies first. Replay with a question : Have one of use ever thought it was a deficiencie when allmost everything we see makes us think about shooting? I am a beginner and haven't even read Brian's book al the way yet. When someone who is "seeing" things relates this to shooting í would say he or she isn't aware but looks through his own screen. Shooting is part of live , but live isn't only shooting. Awarenes in religion can be as good for you as awarenes in shooting. Don't think i wanne be a smart ass, it's too early in the morning for that overhere. Just my own thoughts DVC Adrie
  15. Well i have heart people say before they have such good reaction in traffic because they shoot....... Maybe when you did spend the time you have been doing on the video games in dry and live fire practice you had even better faster and more accurate shooting skills. I don't think there is a specific relationship between playing videogames and decreasing reaction time. You are just becoming a better shooter and maybe therefor getting better in the videogames. Just my opinion Greetings Adrie
  16. I have no gun but a GLOCK so i can make a short replay. This shooter shoots and his glock rocks! Anyway i also want to say that this is a great forum. I have been active member for almost a year now. Before that time i only watched and read sometimes. For me it all helped to learn a lot about shooting and other things in a faster way than without this forum could have been possible. And i will keep on learning DVC Adrie
  17. I use the "normal" ghost holster and not the one that's called "Super Ghost Holster" I am satisfied with it but for some reason i think the CR-speed can give me a better feeling when faced with a holster-retentiontest. Thusfar i've seen shooters and topshooters use the Cr-speed but no glockshooters. David, i haven't seen Richard shooting productiondivision (yet) In that division he will also be hard to beat i guess. Keep training! I'll try to contact him at the match in Ochten since i have not his e-mail and contacting through the NPSAforum is not possible anymore. DVC Adrie
  18. Currently i am using a Ghost Holster in combination with my G34 and G35. Who wants to share his or hers experience with the the model "G"holster from CR speed? Thankx Adrie
  19. Well that's my intention spook just do what has to be done! After i heart one of the (open class shooters) that organisezes this match coul clear this stage in 1.7 (6 A's)with a standard G17 i was wondering if there was something i overlooked in this sames to be simple stage. The term starting position came in mind after reading the stage descrebitions. I know this open class shooter could do this "easily" with his Bull but with a standard G17? Anyway he is one of the best. Greetings Adrie
  20. In your next match one of the stages consists about 1 target ±8 yards, starting position in a shooting box, waepon loaded in holster. 6 hits virginia count required This looks like a 8 yard bill drill. Asuming the defenition starting position it would be allowed after the starting signal to do one or two steps forward. I haven't got time to practice this live fire before this match but what's the opinion. Is it wise to reduce the shooting distance by taking step(s) forward while drawing and shooting? My current times for a 7 yard billdrill are - fastest 2.06 - aspected 2.25 - cold 2.35 (ariving at range, loading, shooting) I can't get my draw (without missing the A sometimes) under 1.05 I think for me it would be wise to stay in the box and not reduce the shooting distance. DVC Adrie
  21. Don't worry. Welcome to the club of glock shooters. When i only shot my G34 with rather soft loads (PF135)the blister where your thumb joins the hand was the first thing to appaer. Later on when i started shooting the G35 with major loads i also started to get a blister left at the middle knuckle of the finger next to the indexvinger. There where your finger touches the triggerguard. If you shoot a lot the blisters will eventualy go away and your skin becomes rough. No problem Greetings Adrie
  22. Spook, we shoot to gether and we discuse about it. Now you made this post i think that at the close disstances 6-7 yards you are too focussed to see the FS. I should say you want to see it to clear. You know (with my G35) i can do realy fast splits (for me) but at a 7 yards bill drill i only notice that the sights are aligned without seeing them clear. Greetings Adrie
  23. "the simple rule makes their life easier. " Thanks Patrick this is defenitely a rule that's clear. At least about the caliber part. Most matcher higher than level II i visit with a shooting friend who also shoots a G35. In case one of your weapons becomes unserviceable/unsafe we could shoot with each other guns. (i think that's allowed) Thats's much more simple than having ammo for 2 calibers and carrieng 2 guns + mags at a match. Greetings Adrie
  24. Hello everyone, i am attending IPSC standard division with a glock 35. According to rule 5.2.6. when my gun becomes unserviceable or unsafe during a match i could ask the RM to use a substitute handgun. In that case i would have asked to use my glock 34 for the remaining stages. The stages i had already shot could be scored as minor. But according rule 5.2.6.1 that would be not allowed because the substitute gun has to be the same caliber. These are the rules and i can not use my G34 as substitute. I think the use of my G34 should give me benefit and therefor not allowed. For me it's not very clear what it could be. Anyone? DVC Adrie
  25. The best thing to do during the walk through is to leave the gun in your holster. With a locked Ghost holster that would be no problem but then again the other thing to do is prevent the holster from being unwanted unlocked. I a long fieldcourses with situations where a holstered gun could be a handicap (going prone e.g) and i am not one of the first three shooters i bag my gun. Greetings Adrie
