  1. From time to time i do this sort of drill. For me there was a different reason to start it. The shooting range where i can practice IPSC is some 40 miles drive from my hometown. Just 5 minutes drive from my home is a shooting range where it is not allowed to shoot from the holster. That's why i started this drill on that range. Usually i alternate dry fire/live fire.
  2. Well i live in the Netherlands but i get my cheapest magazines from Germany. ( http://www.pol-tec.de/ ) At the moment high cap (15 rnds .40 or 17 9mm) are 15,00 euro (±$15,00 ) Low shipping costs too (6.80 euro for 6 mags) Greetings Adrie
  3. I am shooting a G35 in standarddivision. Reloading on a Dillon SD, for visual checking of the powder charge i placed a spotlight next to the press. Rounds : - once fired Winchester brass - Federal SP200mag. primer - 6.5 grain VV3N37 or 5.5 VV340 - bullet 180 grains FPRN Frontier (actualy 177 grains) - O.A.L. between 28.6 - 28.7 mm Both powdercharge produce in my gun PF 178 Case is well enough filled to notice double or no charges
  4. I think this is realy something for beginners, what i am. Only this year started shooting level III matches through europe. Shot the Czech Euro Open last weekend. The flooding of central europe including Czech Republic made it a strange match. A lot of competitors couldn't make it or had to turn around halfway. Stages were very muddy and therefore sometimes hard, even to make a walk through. Shooting performance on my site wasn't great and ended up in the 65% region of standard class. The morning after the match at breakfast we talked about the match and again took the verification list and stage results. Why didn't i see this before! On a 24 rounds stage i made one miss, i know i did and remembered. Only the day after i saw that on the verification list there were 2 misses and a penalty noted for that stage. After checking it seemed my score 16A, 3C,2 D, 1 miss (+2 steel) 16.02 sec was altered in 16 A, 3D,2 miss, 1 penalty! At the match result i got some 34 matchpoints less this way. To late to alter this mistake in the matchresult. Because of my poor results i wasn't concentrated or willing to pay attention enough to see the faults in the verificationlists. Another lesson learned, always check the scores.
  5. Thanks for the info both of you. Last weekend at the czech euro open the wear became suddenly more visible. I am the only glockshooter in the Netherlands with the extended tungsten guiderod and had no reference. For security reasons i changed it with a normal length tungsten guiderod for the last day shooting. Feeling more comfortable now the extended will be in the gun for next weekend qualifiermatch
  6. Hello, i shoot a G35 for IPSC standard division. Shooting 180 grain bullits at pf 178 - 182 Amongst modifications i have a tungsten guiderod (THE accesoires non captive) in combination with 17 lbs ISMI spring. Total length = 100.7 mm / 3.966" Thicknes = ±6.14 mm / 0.242" After shooting 12.000 - 15.000 rounds there is a severe marking place at ± 31mm / 1.22" from the end of the guide rod. Thickness is reduced to 5.92 mm / 0.233" Is this normal? Somebody else have seen the same? Thankx for al information.
  7. ok people, for who didn't get last info of today, http://www.apscr.cz/czeo2002_info_eng.htm see you there!
  8. Who of the forum members that wanted to attend got some official information concerning the match. Bad weather has flood parts of central europe including Tjechian village Cesky Krumlov. Only info few days ago was that acces roads to shooting grounds did not gave problems. Several attemps of your RD to contact RM, MD or RD in Tjechie were without results. If shooting grounds are accesible the "only" problem can be accomodation. On that basis we will leave by car to Cesky Krumlov within 18 hours. Anyone got official info about canceling the match? Who is still going? And who not?
  9. After a few years every weekend a steelshoot and minimum 2 training sesions a week none of my 17 rounds mag. of my Glock 34 gave any trouble at all. Seems the newer mags have had lesser attention while manufactured. Some mags for my Glock 35 couldn't even be used properly from the beginning because the feedlips were not within specs and got one with a broken (!) folower. Fortunately i can get them for 15 euro = 15 dollar a piece. Greetings Adrie
  10. Just played with the standard 16 rnds mag's and few hundred rounds didn't gave malfunctions. Now i am ready to play with the extended mags. Just made up a standard 15 rnds mag with the +1 folower from Novak and a +3 basepad from arredondo. Could put 19 rnds in it easy. If that's functions alright, well a 19+1 capacity and still fit the IPSCbox is ok for me!
  11. OK, ordered 3 pieces +1 folower .40s&w and got them, overseas, within 4 days. Assembled 3 standard (15 rnds) mags with these folowers and yes, got 16 rounds in. Will go to the range tomorrow evening and try if the mags still work without malfunctions of any kind. When it all works well i'll put the folowers in my extended magazines (17 and 18 rnds by now) wich still fit the IPSCbox to see if i can make 18 and 19 rounds (extended basepads from B-E Jonsson) Other people tried these folowers yet? And if you have some tips to increase mag.capacity for the Glock35 and still fit the box please tell. Thank you Adrie
  12. Hi Julien, i am spooks friend. I shot together with your brother Olivier in the squad. I gues the had to put the dutch shooters together with the sixgunners to let them think they made great times on each stage :-) It was your second level III match ever shot outside the netherlands and we enjoyed it. Defenitely will be there next your and hope to bring spook. This time it was for learning and i was happy with a place amongst the top ten on 4 stages, next time i'll go for a better match result. I think i'll see you shooting on Euro Open in august. Greatings Adrie
  13. 10.1.4.8 If a competitor fails to shoot at any target with at least one round, the competitor shall incur one procedural penalty (per target) for failing to shoot at a target as well as the appropriate number of misses. But what in case the target is a turner and after activiting, it has disappaered, for what ever reason, before you could take shot? Will you get 2 miss and a procedural for not firing the target? That would be unfare because you cannot fire on a target you cannot see. What should be the decision of the RO??

    Firing pin?

He? Is that new? I have the same fringpins, and springs used in both G34 and G35. I have never noticed a difference. I changed them a few times between both weapons and never had any troubke.

    MAGWELL

I have the Brass magwell from Topglock.com, works nice but had it major trimmed to let my gun fit the box. Also had it carbo-chromed after trimming, looks nice
  16. Hello Detlef, sorry for the late reaction but i have been more on the shooting range than on the forum. Of course i'll be in Woerden. I saw you start at sunday in a squad with few of the best dutch standard shooters. I will make my appearence on saterday.
  17. I am glad to read about the positive comments on Arendondo springs and followers. Ordered the new +3 extensions in .40 for Glock and Ralph has sended a follower to. I am prparing my Glock 35 for IPSC standard division. Beven will send me also a couple of spring kits As soon he can machine the glockfollowers he is waiting for.
  18. As a moderate steelshootist and a beginning IPSC (standard division) shooter i can say i am glad to shoot 6plates at 10 yards in 3.2 sec. (draw 1.25) One of the latest competionmatches i managad 6 plates, including a mag change, in 4.45. Israelian IPSC champ Saul Kirsch did it in 2.28 (open class. I'll keep practising
