  1. Weird. What's the bullet and OAL?
  2. I am, but I do corporate law. If I'm defending you in a criminal matter - kiss your butt goodbye!
  3. Andy, I run a 15 lbs spring with a tungston rod and an aluminum mag well. Yep - you better hold on to it Grip tape helps. Try a heavier spring and shoot some Bill Drills to see/feel how it cycles and behaves in recoil. However, I like the feel of it. The G22 seems to cycle faster than the G35 and much faster than the G24. If you still have the G24, then go shoot some drills and compare the G24 and G22. It's an acquired taste
  4. 4.3gr titegroup 180 jhp zero bullets win. sp primers mixed brass will give you about 168.5 PF I shoot the same load, except I use 4.7 grains of Titegroup.
  5. Stinger - I noticed you have an M16 with iron sights. The Army couldn't throw a USPSA shooter a bone - like a flatop with an Aimpoint?
  6. Rich - did you ever get your light strike issue resolved?
  7. jbullgpd - How do you like those Tru Glo Fiber optic/tritium sights? I thought they might be cool for a carry piece. How wide is the front sight? Thanks!
  8. Bummer - that's frustrating. Why did you change the recoil spring and could that be the culprit? You may just have to send it to Springfield. Good luck.
  9. Are there any aftermarket sights that fit the M&P?
  10. I've put about 400 rounds more through my M&P. I haven't had any more light strikes and the gun has been 100% with no cleaning or lubing. My trigger is OK and shootable out of the box, but it's begging to be lightened and an overtravel stop installed. RIID - you out there!! It seems to be a good gun that has potential.
  11. I shoot the GA Arms stuff sometimes. It's nowhere near as hot as XM193. Decent accuracy and good price, though. I barely made Minor with it at the 2004 A6 3 Gun with a 16" barrel. I've had a couple of rounds with no primers - so visually inspect the rounds in matches.
  12. Wow - I didn't realize that you could get the trigger so nice on a CZ. I've felt some very good triggers from some names-you'd-recognize shooters, but the reset was still very long. How was the reset on the CZ trigger felt? Thanks.
  13. +2 to what L2S and HSmith said. I recently started shooting an XD in Production and I really like it. It does need trigger work out of the box though. The pull is long and smooth, but the reset is HUGE. The only bummer is that Springfield doesn't sell parts for it (major bummer). So don't even try to do your own trigger job. Send it to Rich or L2S.
  14. About 600 rounds later - I've had no FTE's (knock on wood). Thanks to those who posted advice.
  15. Manny is on the top of my list to train with next.
  16. I think Travis said that. However, based on his web site, the best iron sight shooter in the history of our sport (TGO) uses a FO front sight often. No one can tell you what's right for you. You have to try both and decide.
  17. Congrats - well deserved! See you Sun @ SR?
  18. Thanks guys. I figured there must be issues. If Glock would just jump on the "removable backstrap" bandwagon (a la S&W M&P and the Walther P99), I think they would kill the up-and-coming striker pistols in the marketplace.
  19. Thread drift: Eric - what's your backstop on that range? Is it the building in the background
  20. Has anyone ever shoot the S&W SW99 or Walther P99? I've never even seen one in a store. They look intereting, but the fact that I've never seen one at a match might be telling. Just wondering . . .
  21. I forgot to mention that my mother-in-law's 70 year old boyfriend (that term seems weird for 70 year olds) beat me by 2 clays. He was shooting a pump too! I was impressed. He's hunted birds since he was 12 and has shot some trap and skeet in his time.
  22. EricW - 86 on your first round!! That's huge! You must be an experienced trap or skeet shooter. I shoot 3 gun, but I've never shot any trap, skeet or clays. 3 gun has mostly stationary targets and it's very different shooting than clays - at least for me. If those damn birds would just hold still, I'd hammer 'em fast

    Diy Grip Reductions

BTT BTW - has anyone handled a Glock grip worked on by Southpaw Custom (Daniel Tripp)? They look pretty cool. Here's a link: Grip reductions
