  1. I'm with Jeff, on the 200gr. I use 200gr RN though not swc. These bullets give me the slide speed I want out of a .45
  2. I use the modified comp 3 for IDPA, I have no icore around me but if I did I would probably choose the sl variant and my model 28 6" only because they dont have a comp3 for that gun
  3. the only jacketed I use is when shooting open, everything else I shoot is lead or moly. my Single Stack has about 4k since its last cleaning.
  4. That was exactly my load when I shot 180s...I didn't change my OAL since it was reliable and the same bullet could go in my G35
  5. Everything is available less 2 or so popular choices, even those are available within 2-3 weeks.
  6. I run a 26" gun, the only disadvantage is the added weight. But to me it is a benefit to have the weight to absorb more recoil
  7. Thanks Matt you beat me yet again. As Waktasz said I am a dealer and you can head over to the link he posted or in my signature line. I personally use the Bear Creek 200gr in .40 but used to use 180s
  8. I shot my first IDPA major with 2 matches under my belt...Shoot it, big matches are different than local matches
  9. I use the Safariland 771 for open because I wear the pouch out front. the open design allows me to pull the mag straight up through the slit rather than pulling it out like a conventional pouch. My 771 and 773 mag pouches came labeled glock, but STI mags fit in them, just adjust the tension.
  10. My Blade Tech Stingray w/o DOH I can get a consistent .9 draw to first shot with my Single Stack gun. I use a CR speed for limited and get a consistent .7...with that being said I am starting to use the stingray for everything since it is much more reliable for 3gun than any speed holster. And I don't want to change my draw stroke for every match.
  11. my para for 3gun takes STI mags and the gun doubles as my backup limited gun for my STI its great using the same mags for both. but back on topic, I see problems with the Dawson magwell, the S&A on my 14-45 takes any base pad, and my other para had the frame shortened then custom magwell installed so I can even use 126mm STI mags without issue.
  12. What magwell that can make the difference as well?
  13. mec-gar mags for para should work(brownells), then dawson basepads and it fits the gauge
  14. Soon as I'm back up and running again I'll do it on my gun. too bad you won't be local anymore at that point. oh and I want my sling and mount back!
  15. 9mm barrel fit on a .40 slide yes it can be done
  16. Brian covered something similar in one of Burkett's DVD's without seeing first hand I can't comment if its flinch or recovery/anticipation. The easiest way to diagnose it for me would be to go out about 20 yards and basically do a bill drill making hits count but go as fast as you can to make your hits count. If you have a true flinch you will be in the -3/D or beneath the target. Distance will exacerbate most problems to make it easier to figure out for me.
  17. I like the TGO its easier to strip stuck mags.
  18. I shoot mine with slugs, if it shoots POA with irons it will shoot POA with the Redring
  19. you can check my dealer forum for more information, I'm not sure where you are located but you are more than welcome to try mine.
  20. just thought id put this out there. Its a great sight, and retail right now is $750
  21. I say the same thing when a gun comes with a FO. plain serrated for me.
  22. I loose velocity by leaving my ammo in the sun. my powder is reverse temp sensitive, did you rule that out?
  23. I use a Flip HD bought it used on ebay for $40 you can check my youtube link below, 720p I think comes out clear, I like it
