Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. Mark, I think you're 1000% correct. I'd buy two if they made a C.O.R.E. with a threaded barrel and comp. Mark II
  2. Carmoney, Thanks. Good to know. Any line on OLD Para mags? Do STI mags work.
  3. Thanks, I'm looking for the OLDER longer mag-body. Dawson states that they don't have a base pad that fits the newer shorter Para/Mecgar/?? mags. I tried an Arrandondo pad and it will not lock-up. Before I start modifying the Mag Release or basepad or the pistol, I figured I'd ask if anyone else has a solution.
  4. Any advice on where to buy 140mm base pads for a Rock Island 9mm/22tcm double stack. The Factory mag is too short to wear an Arrandondo base. I guess I need old Para mags, but where to buy??
  5. I've started looking (shopping) for Non-true 1x scopes. It seems the true 1x scopes have more limitations than the 1.25 or 1.5x models and command a higher price. If you want a 1-6x the price is very high. I have looked through a couple 1.25x-1.5x Var 4-5x and they appeal to me (50+ year old eyes). I suppose shooting "weak shoulder" or "non-dominant eye" may be a different story. Anybody have some experience?
  6. I'm hearing Tac30 from a couple sources. Why is it better? I see a Weaver 1.5-4.5x marked down from $410 to $279. Seems like a deal??
  7. I need one of these, where can I get one? JP is out-of-stock indef.??
  8. The Vortex PST 1-4 with the TMCQ reticle seems nice but trying to stay under $250-300. Thanks
  9. Any recommendations for a budget 3 Gun / hunting scope for a 16" 300 BLK shooting supersonic. My TR24 doesn't have a lot of "drop" clues in the green triangle reticle. I'm looking at the Weaver V3 1-3x, Leupold VX I 1-4x maybe a Pig Plex, Burris Tac30 any ideas?
  10. Noooooo! Do not Lock-tite! I set mine up in the winter and had real problems in the summer. You need to be able to "adjust" the adjustable set screw. Now I'm shooting different loads and need to adjust again. The variable gas system is only a benefit if you can dial it down to the "reliable" minimum. That changes with load and climate, My 2 cents. Mark
  11. I know this is subjective, but how much different is the "glass" of the TR21 vs. TR24 ?
  12. I Think I got the answer:blink:
  13. How come I cannot find a used TR24R? Or did I just answer my own question???
