    Left Hand AR

I was gonna go the Stag route but bought a MegaMachine upper and added a bolt racker. This stopped the brass from hitting the right side of my face. It's also pretty damn fast as a lefty when you have an empty gun start w/ a bolt racker on a right handed gun. DaG
  2. Ah-hah!! So, can I get a ruling from IDPA HQ on whether or not it's okay for me to start a stage with a bunch of extra loaded mags in my pocket, enough to take me through the match, as long as I don't use them during the stage? That would be correct. Extra mags in a pocket are ok as long as they are not used in the String of fire. You can only use a maximum of three in any string of fire. Spares in the pocket for use in the next string or stage is legal. Robert Ray IDPA HQ Now I'm really confused. I read all 4 pages of the previous thread and it seems it's more about using the barney mag in a COF. My question is can the barney mag be stored in the vest pocketinstead of the pants pocket as long as it's not used in the COF. I understand the part that reloads must come from the belt if you're using pouches and also the rule where it states the # of mags that can be used on the belt The part where I'm confused is how you can get a FTDR if you have spare mags in your vest pocket when they are not used. According to the quote above from RR you can have spares in the pocket. He just does not specify what/whick pockets. And I still can't find a rule that would support FTDR especially with the above quote. Thanks in advance for more info. DaG
  3. That's where I get confused. I always was told you can carry as many as you want but only 2 mags were allowed on the belt. So does the rulebook specifically spell out a FTDR for having extra mags in the vest pockets? Thanks for any info you can provide. DaG
  4. Thought I would add this for 9mm since there is already one for 40. Overall I'd say they're pretty close to each other. Next, I'll try a CZ with a light mainspring and see what happens. DaG
  5. O.K., I'm all for the mag in the vest pocket. But, we have an old fart @ our club who hands out FTDR's like it's candy when he catches someone doing this. He says it's not in the spirit of the game. I can't find anything in the rule book that even remotely relates to this. Is it legal? BTW, I also keep a mag in each vest pocket DaG
  6. O.K., I searched and can't find a definate answer. Is it legal to modify a round trigger guard (STI Trojan) to a squared and checkered style in USPSA. In the 2006 provisional rules it specifically stated it was allowed. Now I can't find anything that says it's legal. (unless I look in the IDPA rulebook) The photo of TGO on the cover of Front Sight would lead me to believe it's legal, but as soon as I have it done it won't be. Thanks for any help. DaG
  7. Hey Jasmap, Look at pic #3. Recognize the location? Weren't they the co. that first imported the HS-2000? DaG
  8. It seems that small rifle are availible in places alot more often than small pistol. In a worst case scenario, could SR primers be used in place of SP primers for 9 minor? Just wondering..... DaG

    226 X5 All Around

I had one. Ran like a raped ape but God that thing was heavy. Very accurate and seemed to have a smaller diameter grip than a standard 226. I put a short trigger in it and it was alot easier to shoot but it definately needs a trigger job out of the box. DaG
  11. Did anything ever become of the I-Shot backpack? I think at one time they were going to develop a shooters pack but were doing alot for the guys in the sandboxes. Anybody heard anything? DaG
  12. I use this with no problems.....http://www.commandarms.com/product.asp?pID=175&cID=22&c=21821 DaG
  13. Weaver 1x3 with a $31.25 CAA cantilever mount. Hose like hell on the close stuff and if you know your rifle and ammo you can get to 350 yds easily. DaG
  14. Instead of digging up the lateral to install check valve, unscrew the top out of the clean-out at the street and put a pop up top on instead. It only costs about $10.00 from Home Depot. Sounds like the problem is downstream from your place. DaG
  15. We run "special" (IDIPSC)matches from time to time. IDPA targets, scoring, equipment restrictions,(holster and mag pouch positions) 10 rd mags but use USPSA rules. It's a helluva lot of fun. DaG
  16. Well, I got the Trojan today with the 9 rd Metalform mags that came with the gun and all I can say is Holy S#*@ ! This thing is super accurate with Valiant RNL and the mags functioned flawlessly! Looks like I'll still order a few 10 rd Wilson ETM's though. Thanks for all the replies. DaG
  17. Thanks for the replies. Looks like I'll be callin' Chuck at SC to order a few. DaG
  18. I just ordered a Trojan in 9mm and was wondering if anyone has used the Wilson 10 rd ETM's yet? My search-fu is weak. All I can find is info on 40 and 45 mag troubles. Any info would be appreciated. DaG
  19. I had the same issue with a Glock. Called BT and they sent me an assortment of rubber spacers with different length screws for free. Great customer service. DaG
  20. OK, that's where I got confused then....intepretation instead of official ruling. Thanks Stuart. DaG
  21. Mecgar 16 round CZ75 mags are legal for PD. O.K. I'm confused. At one time Amidon ruled that the SP01 was a variant of the 75B design and that 75 mags were legal to use. Got a ton of them with basepads and lov'em. Now, if I read the rule correctly, those mags are no longer legal due to the "dimensions". Does this mean that Amidon's previous rule has been reversed? I can't find it on USPSA or here. DaG
  22. Didn't Amidon rule at one time the SP01 is a variant of the 75B and therefore the 75 mags were legal in the SP01? Anyone? DaG
  23. Looks like I finally beat your big a$% at something......... DaG
  24. I'm going...that's a helluva match! Not entered yet either. DaG
  25. We use 2x2x8's with a sheet of 4x8 Coraplastic (the stuff election signs are made of) also use1/4" plywood for corner gussests. The stands are 2x2 tubing cut to 4' lengths with a short piece of angle iron welded to the bottom of the tube. One man can set up very easily. DaG
