I got mine Monday evening. On the third try I loaded 8 in 6 secs which seems to be very doable by most people who try it. There's definately a shorter learning curve with the belt vs weakhand loading. Im still gonna keep practicing weakhand though since I found KurtM's vid on 3GN. Seems I've been doing it the wrong whole time. DaG

If you are talking the Pro-Am ones, they were home made as well. Those were my 5X5's being used. What size were the bases? I believe they were rectangular. did you have a flag or foot on the rebar ot keep it stable in the ground? They were cut in a capital "I" shape. Ill have to check the dimensions tonight. No foort on the base pole. that is a good idea. Any dimensions on these? I tried to explain the "I" base to a local welder but no luck. Thanks in advance DaG

I ran Remington bulk pack #8 (Wally World)in a M2 for the AM match with a mod choke. I didn't have any issues but you had to aim. So far it has ran all Wally World ammo without a hiccup, but also it is bone stock except for bolt handle. Can bolt mods effect reliabilty as far as feeding,extracting and ejecting goes? DaG

I had one for practice and couldn't get 100 %. It fed and extracted fine from GI mags but the Orange spring still was not 100%. I had to put a extra power Wolf spring in it but by then the trigger was ridiculously heavy. I did bump the shoulder back on the firing pin for added protrusion and flattened the tip for more surface area. It seemed to help but just wasn't enough. There was a guy on M4Carbine or ARF that was doing 5.45 trigger jobs that were supposed to be reliable for surplus ammo. I think his name was Jackson ????? DaG

Did he actually let go of the gun or did he still have it in his hand and the gun touch the ground? If he let go I would say DQ. If he did not let go and kept control of the gun and it just touched the ground then keep shooting if no 180 violation. DaG

The IWA article in the latest issue of Front Sight states that Double Alpha Academy was showing the latest CED backpack. I checked CED and DAA and can't seem to find any mention of it. Anybody seen one or got pics? DaG

OK, gotta ask. My shotgun is capable of 10+1. Do I have to change out tube to 8+1 or can I still play? Also, is there a power factor for rifle and pistol under IMGA rules? Thanks for any info. DaG

I can't complain about mine in 40. Knock on wood so far mine has run 100%. I have 4 of the new mags with switchplate basepads and have not had any trouble. I did replace 1 mag spring with an Arredondo spring/follower and it took capacity to 20 rds reloadable. I would do it again if I were to build an open gun. DaG
