  1. Unless the seller's shipping terms are "Free On Board xyz location", under the UCC, the shipper is responsible for any shipping mishaps.
  2. I hate it when the shipping costs more than the item you purchased.
  3. I would keep checking http://fnforum.net as used SCARs show up. A while ago, one was available for under $2k IIRC.
  4. It should come with the flattop mount in the box.
  5. Grent Lent perfected using a chrono in a box for the nationals. You might want to ask him. IIRC, he wrote an article or 2 about his setup in Front Sight a few years back.
  6. The biggest difference between the regular P-Mag and the E-Mag is that the E-Mag does not have the external ridges on it. I've seen pictures of Team FHN-USA shooters using regular P-Mags in the SCAR.
  7. I ordered 4 of Mark Otto's aluminum caddies and they arrived last week. I would PM Mark or find him on Facebook if you need to order some.
  8. I am using a CZ-75 SPO1 Shadow in Production and use the hi-caps mags. As for a holster, Blade-Tech DOH all the way.
  9. Thought that the film "Less Than Zero" was waaaay better than the book (could possibly be b/c I saw the movie about 10 years before I read the book). Same thing with "To Live and Die In LA". The tv series "Band of Brothers" I thought fleshed out the characters much more than the book did (which was excellent). Same thing with "A Bridge Too Far".
  10. Have you tried the USPSA.org classified ads?
  11. Full episodes available at http://www.fox.com/watch/twentyfour
  12. I had to DQ a person at the nationals one year b/c he swept his hand. At least 20 other people saw what I saw, but the competitor and his buddies thought I was out to get him. Safety first.
  13. Benny Hill of Triangle Shooting Sports, a forum dealer, does really good trigger work. He installed the JP trigger in my AR.
  14. The use of the front lens cover doesn't "force" someone into using the BAC. The BAC works just fine - the front lens cover basically turns the scope into a 1x red dot sight, an occluded sight if you will, such as the Armson OEG.
  15. Very well made. Not had any problems with it. The cover flips open and closed easily and stays open or closed. If it is the same as the old Progressive Machine covers, they they are rock solid. Buy with confidence. I had one on a TA11 when I ran one. I have the one made by Progressive Machine. The ones being sold by Brownells look exactly the same but by a different vendor.
  16. The only problems I've heard of people having with 16" barrels is knocking down distant LaRue targets w/ 55 gr bullets. If you use a heavier bullet, there shouldn't be a problem. As Jesse said, you can install a comp yourself. You might need a heat gun or other heat source to break the locktite on the flash hider so you can take it off. You'll also need some sort of bonding agent (like Locktite) to put the break on.
  17. Very well made. Not had any problems with it. The cover flips open and closed easily and stays open or closed.
  18. I have the regular TA-11 (donut) and like it a lot. I got the front lens cover that turns it into an occulated sight for close targets.
  19. When I went the first time, I "drove" down with 2 people that you know. By "drove" I mean that somehow I wound up doing most of the driving. I wasn't a happy camper. Don't even get me started on the sleeping arrangements.
  20. In at #204. This will be my second FB3G (I was at the inaugural event). Is anyone traveling from the NJ/Philadelphia area? I'm amazed that Linda was able to process all the applications in that short amount of time. A very good job indeed.
  21. WHOOO HOOO!!!!! Added entry for David Wisniewski from IP 174.57.19.63
  22. Magpul aluminum trigger guard. I know, I know, I'm a tacti-cool / mall-ninja wannabe.
  23. Have the ROs shoot for fun (no score). I would definitely do it if I could shoot it. Or, score the match staff separately from the regular match (that would also eliminate any conflicts of interest).
  24. When I was at the SMM3G in '04, the distance targets were (I think) 10" flashers with a black plastic sheet as a backer. Worked pretty well (until the backer got loose and blew in front of the target). The worst I experienced was at a local rifle match a few years ago. The area in front of the steel target was loose dirt, and if you shot low, or left or right, a huge cloud of dust would be kicked up and you couldn't see the target at all.
  25. I take the platter out of the drive housing and smash it to tiny bits. Physical destruction of the platter is the only 100% way to prevent anyone from getting their hands on the data.
