  2. Are you so certain? Sure the TS is a longer barrel, but the OD between the SP01 and Tactical Sports is nearly identical. With tolerances I'd say they are the same. In fact, I just put a TS barrel bushing in a SP01 and it functioned perfectly (by hand).
  3. What's the difference from the SP01 and the Tactical sports bushing? Other than possibly some clearance at the bottom of the bushing, they look identical to me.
  4. Yes, I have one and have successfully used it on a couple of CZs, 1911s, and SIG Sauers. With the different "shoes" it can be easily used on a lot of other firearms. I've put in and removed sights with a punch as well but the proper tool is much better.

I'm getting different diameter measurements from my Blue Bullets. The following were done with a calibrated Mitutoyo sub micron digimatic micrometer. I'd be curious to see what what your micrometer says about ACME or Bayou or SNS. If I had some, I'd measure them. I measure in two spots @ 90 degrees of each other. 8. Did you buy it new? I'd consider contacting CZ USA, describing the issue and have them repair it. If not, Cajun Gun Works and CZ Custom are top notch. If you are handy, or like to experiment... I suspect a burr or fitment issue of the firing pin block or lifter. I'm no expert so hopefully some others "chime in". I'd use a snap cap or ear plug and observer some trigger pulls and see if the hammer appears to be striking consistently. If so, I'd start from the top down? Remove the firing pin retaining pin and remove the firing pin block and firing pin. Look closely for mechanical wear on those parts. Maybe try it again without the firing pin block installed and see if it's (firing pin) hanging up in there (maybe a weak or poor fitting firing pin block spring?). Then I'd start to look into the firing mechanism and see if the lifter is functioning correctly. If it's still hanging without the firing pin block and the hammer is falling correctly I'd suppose a spring to firing pin fit issue, a burr or machining defect in the firing pin bore or firing pin.
  9. Head up to Sir Walter Raleigh Gun Club the first Saturday of the Month. Best match in the Southeast....in my opinion.
  10. Ionbond did the finishing after I polished and jeweled it. The jeweling is the secret to shooting better
  11. I was a "D" class shooter and then I lightened my TS slide. Now I'm on the Super Squad! Ok, it's not really a TS, and I'm not a "D" Shooter but this is the internet.
  12. Hello everyone. I picked up some 38 short colt brass and I'm looking at loads with a 147gr RN out of a 627 5" PC. I have plenty of VV N320 and Clays and some 147gr Blue Bullets, so if you have suggestions for that (or other suggestions), it would be great. Thanks in advance.
  13. I guess the term "reliable" needs defined better. A lighter spring would lead to more "reliable" primer ignitions but it is also more likely "relax" sooner (given same materials) sacrificing long term "reliability".
  14. JayJay1, I use the plastic grips that are not very sought after. I imagine you could use the wood grips as well. Anyway, I cleaned them with soap and water, rinsed them really well and let them dry. I then bought two part epoxy at the local home improvement supply store (like OBI) and then ordered silicon carbide in 80-120 grit off a store on the internet (used for blasting or polishing stones). I put the epoxy only on the surfaces that I want to grip (outside obviously) and avoid the screw holes. I also did not sand since there was enough epoxy to fill in the "diamonds" and I like larger grips. Then I sprinkled the silicon carbide over it very liberally (you can reuse the stuff that doesn't stick). It has been very durable and I like the contour of the plastic grips (ergonomics) and the texture/grip of the silicon carbide.
  15. I like to trim the plastic grips down, coat them with epoxy and sprinkle them with silicon carbide. Then they are like contoured grip tape. I also like the aggressive VZ grips but they aren't as ergonomic as plastic or rubber.
  16. I'm running 0.3563 (9.05mm) in one of mine.
  17. I have to bump this one just because it's so sexy. What kind of coating? Hard Chrome? NP3?
  18. I'd be interested in if the TiN holds up on the barrel. Mine rubbed off the lugs and some of the hood after a few hundred rounds.

Heck, CZ just has to run one more machining operation to get those on that frame (short dustcover). I've often wondered why they don't. Then again, I've wondered why they don't make a stainless SP-01 as well.

According to my handy dandy Mitutoyu 8" digital caliper the IPSC Standard (Tactical Sports) slide with Kensight adjustable rear and Dawson precision partridge front sight is 7.078" and the SP01 with Kensight adjustable rear and Dawson precision partridge front sight is 6.563". I measured from the back of the rear sight blade and to the leading edge of the front sight (surface facing shooter or opposite of the muzzle). These are the same front and rear sight models therefore all things being equal. Long Slide: 7.078" Std. Slide: 6.563"
  21. I just got my VV N320 from them yesterday. Someday all the supplies will be in stock.....someday
