I was thinking Dustin would make it to the top from watching his previous matches. He earned the win 100% and who better to beat than Mike. A great match and a even better win.

I used to like Glocks until I shot the M&P. I had some issues with my glocks that I didn't like but after some simple changes they were a ok gun. The M&P has replaced any need for a glock. I like the feel of the M&P. When I go to matches people ask to shoot my limited M&P setup and its always followed with the same comment, "I think I am going to have to buy one of those now"

I have tried just about all the 1-4x scopes out there and with what you explained I think that is your best bet. I like the Vortex line but have found the Burris XTR to fit everything I need in an optic. I wrote up a review a while back on here if you wanted more information on it. Get a good solid mount(Bobro, GDI, ADM, Nightforce, Seekins or Badger Rings) and call it good. If you have any questions just ask.

I have ran the Troy DOA optics and found them great for 3-gun. I still have them and will keep them if I go back to Irons but I have found it more fun to shoot tactical.

Ignore the commifornians and eat the loss because thats what people do when they screw up. If anyone is to blame its the guy who reloaded the damn bullet and had his son shoot it. "Libertarian" really you want to go there? Rebuild what, The gun is a loss. I think the gun should be mounted above the reloading press to remind yourself what happens when you screw up!

I don't get why everyone is saying to call smith and wesson or winchester so they can take care of your mistake? Pass the crap onto the next guy instead of making sure it won't happen again? I am sorry but its your bed now sleep in it knowing that it could have been worse letting your kid shoot the gun without being more observant to what you were doing in the reloading room.

Why can't you? I have one on mine and know 5-6 other guys at our local club that do too. He meant when he looked into ordering a rifle from JP they would not install the SJC comp for him. I think the comp was a very big part of why my rifle shot flatter. Eric Lund did a great job designing that comp. Pat yup thats what i meant, But im interested on how you installed your comp i started another thread so we don't high jack this one Its fairly easy just put the rifle in a vice with padding or the correct inserts for an AR15 upper and take wrench and remove the old comp (lefty loosey) and install the new one (righty tighty) use a crush washer and time it how you want it. I just want it standard ports up not off to the left or right. A Barrel vice is the only way to go or else you risk causing permanent damage to the upper. The Uppers were never built to handle that kind of torqe and can split. Damn I have put well over 20 different muzzle brakes on different guns and never needed a barrel vice. There is not that much torqe put on it, at least in my experience. Pat I have done hundreds and never had an issue. I saw a thread where a bunch of people had split uppers from over torqing the barrel so I decided to always barrel vice. I just hate seeing people break the upper or worse the barrel extension.

I would keep the JP if it was mine. I like a good brake and have now switched all my rifles to RWS brakes from Boise Idaho. No recoil at all. When We shoot rifle at our USPSA matches it helps me keep 2 inch groups in the As when I do my part. The RWS brakes are $55 shipped. He will turn the brake to match the contour of your barrel. If you want a super nice install just have the brake placed in a lathe until the threads line up perfect. A peel washer works great also.

Why not? I don't know him, but he sure donates a lot to the sport, and he makes good gear. At the pro-am he sat down at the table with us and had a good conversation, he was down to earth, it was a little while before we even knew who he was. The free brisket we were eating was most excellent as well. I don't think you want to open up that can of worms. It has been made clear that people can not speak their mind when it comes to this topic. So the best way to say it is that people who actually follow things will never spend money with him or his company. It is probably best to leave it at that. Funny how that works. Reminds me of how some things get done in this country, we all look at who gives the money and don't care how big of an ass they may be.

I don't know but I was excited to try the JP system on a rifle until seeing my friends JP have issues with self adjusting causing him to lose a match he should have won. Pat There is always a reason a person loses a match and when his gear goes down its his fault regardless due to the rules. I have had more than one JP and never had an issue one. It will eat any ammo I have tried and it always stays set. I use a small amount of teflon tape on my set screw.

I run a KKM in my M&P and it does improve the groups but I have found it to be a tempermental with some types of cheaper ammo. Much tighter chamber than my factory barrel.

I run a RWS brake with a JP adjustable gas block and a wolf buffer spring. The gun shoots well and works great but thats with a 16" barrel.

Counter Sniper has some epic threads on Snipers Hide that is for sure.

I run SSS and have had no complaints with any of there products. Get the SSS ESP magwell and be happy and done with searching.

It is a great mount and works everytime. If you keep your eyes out you can sometimes find them for under $150 in the sells forums.

+1 GO for it Mark :bow: I think this is some good advice. Hurry though it might have already been stolen as soon as you posted the pictures , at least most of the guys on here are GTG.

I have spent some time with one and they are nice but I tend to like the XTR 1-4 better.

You will love them. SSS is a great place to buy!
