  1. Cage ran into some serious finacial issues making him take every single good and stupid role he could get.
  2. This threads title is scary enough without the pictures showing what had been done. I always cringe when people say gun and dremmel in the same sentence.
  3. I was just seeing if anyone has had some time with the KKM barrels for the M&P .40? I am trying to decide between them or go with what I know the storm lake barrels. I am going to place an order with SSS soon. I have a ported Storm Lake that shoots great but I am not going to shoot open with this gun so I am going to try and sell the ported barrel and replace it with one that has no ports. Any advice would be great.
  4. Whats the main reason for wanting it to be mounted to the barrel? I always ran the Troy sights and they worked fine. Just curious. I figure it was for the farther sight picture.
  5. No, that's good stuff. And old Bullseye shooter taught me that. While you are watching TV, just hold your pistol with one hand and feel the trigger until the hammer drops. be Yeah a guy who used to be on a SWAT team back in the day when they were issued revolvers taught me the same thing. At least you have a reason to be watching the TV.
  6. You mean there is more than one? Thankfully, Yes. At least those of us who live on the right side like to think so. I see you are on the right side, I was going to invite people in spokane to shoot at our club INAS. If you are interested in shooting some matches here let me know.
  7. Which side of Washington are you located?
  8. My wife has no issues with the M&P line of pistols at all. She is under 115 lbs. She used to have a Compact XD but like you mentioned the sping was so hard to pull back I sold it and got her a full size M&P .40
  9. I like IOR for bolt rifles but I have never cared for their low mag optics. I think a 1-4x is plenty for 3-gun and the 10x is a bit much.
  10. I shoot Limited with this gun. I have a trigger job on it also. So to answer the previous question, no I do not plan on shooting production.
  11. I don't shoot open, I take the red dot off for matches.
  12. Mine is not that stiff to turn but the swtichview makes it a cake walk. Mine was a little more stiff when I first used it and has become easier to change after some use. MGM targets builds the MGM Switchview which I think beats the other cattail types by a long shot.
  13. I agree if you are going to change the front sight and work on the trigger get the basic one and use the money to upgrade that. The triggers are so easy to work on with these guns it seems as if they were built to be able to fix. I have mine right at 3 lbs in under an hour of work. Great guns for user end friendly gunsmithing.
  14. Added some pictures, will get some more when the weather clears enough for another range trip.
  15. I have the UBR and it is by far the best AR stock I have tried. It is a bit heavy but locks up as solid as a fixed stock. I would go with the UBR you won't regret it.
  16. I run WOA barrels and have had all of them shoot under half MOA from the factory with matching bolt. rainier arms has some for a great price.
  17. Longest pistol shot for me was 200 yards on a 12x12 plate hit five out of the eight shots. But again this is why I have a rifle.
  18. I just picked up the Burris XTR 1-4x and all I can say is wow. For the money this scope is great. Daytime visible illumination and the reticle is perfect for 3-gun. I was hitting steel out to 800 yards with the BDC. Glass is clear as any higher end scopes I have looked through (not the S&B shortdot but again not the same cost) The illumination knob is nice being able to shut off between settings. The adjustable zero setting on the knobs is great. Audible clicks and easy to use your fingers but have covers so you won't have your settings getting knocked off when going in and out of barrels. I added a MGM switchview on it and quick 1-4x changes. Plus one of the greatest things about it is the true 1x. Works like a red dot scope when you want it to and a quick change for the farther off shots. I tested the scopes tracking and it stayed true every time. Shock tested and held zero. The biggest issue I have found with the scope is the bell of the scope moves with the magnification change, which is great in some cases but sucks if you run Butler Creek covers. I tested it up to my Aimpoint M4 on 1x and kept up on my time with the aimpoint only placing a half second longer with the XTR. I did get the XTR package with the mount and Burris Fastfire II which works great for quick for engaging targets from 5-15 yards. I would like to mount it slightly to the side but after some practice I got the hang of this setup quick. If anyone has any questions let me know. http://www.burrisoptics.com/xtrtactical1.html
  19. I will have to give it a try when the web site is working. Thanks
  20. I am going to shoot limited and I am going with the Taylor Freelance base pads. Where is the best deal for these? I was going to order the SSS magwell at a later time. I have looked for months checking to see if anyone was parting with any M&P parts like these but they seem hard to find new much less used. Thanks for any input.
  21. I have done a million dry fires and never a single issue. Don't worry about it unless its a rimfire.
  22. My wife hates it also but you have to practice. She always asks "do you have to do that right now?"
  23. I always run P-Mags, never had a single issue with them.
