Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I have the same breed dog but a male "Wally." He is almost 2 years old now. Those pictures make me wish he was a puppy again. What a beautiful coat! They grow so fast!
  2. No, that would be R.L. and TJ, I am the guy who gets blamed for them. lol I just signed on Brian Enos for the first time in a very long time. I had PMs popping up all over my screen. I was in law school for a few years. I am now an attorney and running the family corporations here in South Louisiana. I managed to participate in some matches while in school without any practice. Now that I am finished with school and starting to settle into my career, I will start shooting more matches and practicing again. I look forward to seeing everyone at the range and thank you for all of the kind things that were said about me. TTYL Blake
  3. I just got back from the World Shoot and signed up for the match. I'll see all of you there. It looks like it will be a fun match.
  4. Ditto, Gary and Barbara put on a great match! The weather was also awesome! I pulled out my camera for my last two stages, if you are interested you can hit play below:
  5. I'm going out there with my family. We should be leaving in the next few days. It is a long drive where I am from.
  6. I'll be at the match with my family. I hope it gets point series approval from USPSA.
  7. This is very sad news. I send my deepest condolences to his close family and friends. I will keep Steve in my prayers.
  8. That'll work or as Scout or Scobby would put it, "ruff ruff." lol
  9. Rumor has it that a prop (I think the loungechair on Stage 12) snagged his gun... I was standing on the stage when it happened. It didn't hit the chair arm, he just jumped up so quickly that his unlocked Ghost holster let it go. It landed on the seat of the chair--talk about out running your gun. Sad to see it happen. Troy Troy is right. That is pretty much what happened. Time stoped when I went to draw the gun and all I had was a hand full of holster. The only good thing about the situation was that when I turned around the gun was pointed perfectly down range. That is the first time I have ever had problems losing the gun with that holster but I should have had it locked. With the great match that I was having, it is a big lesson that I had to learn the hard way. I like Troy and all but take it from me, you dont want him signing your stage score sheet, lol. The biggest bummer about the deal is I was told that I lost my spot on the limited US team for the World Shoot. Oh well, I'll try harder next time.
  10. I have 5 monopoly dollars on Phil S. for Limited even though his time was no where near the fastest on the dark house stage.
  11. I'll be there. I talked to Max the other day and he said he was going to try and make it there also.
  12. I have been shooting Dave's guns for 5 years and YES, I pay for them. I can shoot any gun I want, but I buy Dave's guns. About his sales staff, if there is a problem he will take care of it. And his sales staff doesn't build his guns, Dave does. I'm sure there are alot of gunsmithes out there that build good IPSC guns but I can recommend Dave from experience.
  13. This is kinda funny because when I first saw the video I noticed the same thing about my start. I had a talk with Max M. about this a while back at a different match and we agreed that leaning forward instead of taking a step back was a more affective way of leaving a start position. This is what I try to do from most start boxes because I can set up and balance my weight like I want to. The exception is when your heels and feet are together and in line like in the start position in the video. When I was on the line, this was going through my mind. How was I going to take off without stepping backward? The lean forward just didn't feel right so I decided to just go ahead and do what was more comfortable. Stepping backward along with drawing the gun and mag at the same time felt the most comfortable in this case. So basically I agree 100% with what SmittyFL has to say about this but I am also interested with what BritinUSA said about Eric's start position. I would like to go back on his video and study his start to see if his way is better.
