  1. You're going to get different responses from different shooters. Sevigny focuses a great deal on locking the support wrist to control recoil as does Jake Di Vita and many others, some focusing on rolling the support elbow up to drive the gun down more and lessen support hand grip pressure. Here's an article Duane did on the combat grip, which I found very informative: My link
  2. Beautiful work. I'd almost hate to shoot it since it's so pretty. I did say almost.
  3. That actually looks like it works well, but then again so does my Lula loader.
  4. Legally it's referred to as a 'bailment'. Beyond that you'll have to do your own research.
  5. It's a pretty structured book and in the intro Steve explains which drills he follows and for how long per setting.
  6. Yeah that's kind of like, "No offense but..." and then they go onto insult you.
  7. Can't find anything I want locally. Cabelas never has anything in-stock and the prices for powders and primers is more than a little discouraging so I order online. If there's a hazmat fee, talk with fellow shooters, club members, friends to see if they want to do a bulk order and split the hazmat/shipping. Powder Valley is great, at is Grafs, Wideners, Montana Gold, Manny Bragg's site, I also like Precision Delta bullets. Lots of stuff out there, just a matter of doing some searching.
  8. Big +1 on this - lots of water/juice, etc and low residue diet.
  9. Usually 3-4 days - Dillon gets their stuff out quick. The parts kit is nice to have in that situation... it's the reason I've order one for each of my machines.

  11. May want to handle a Gen 4 glock and see what they do for you. I've got small hands too but found that with time a glock 34 began to fit comfortably in it.
  12. Not sure how they could be worse than a plain black front sight at night since you can't really see either in that condition ...another problem is, depending on your loads, gunpowder residue gets left on them and they require cleaning/maintenance.
  13. It looks intestesting to me. I don't expect dramatic character development just a good ol' fashion run and gun movie so it sounds like this will fit the bill.
  14. Most likely because you're not using your SSN which is the best single identifier for the background system. Even if your name is not all that common, there are still several people out there with the same name - and the computer will have a difficult time distinguishing between those names without the identifier listed - if everyone is clean, no problem, but if there are some with spotty records then additional searches have to be run, broken down, etc. I see this a lot on NCIC searches for people with common last names, the print-out will show several convictions, restraining orders, dispositions, but as you dig deeper it's referencing someone else. It can get really confusing sometimes.
  15. Great link and good writing. Fun stuff!
  16. Can't wait! The Great Plains Sectional was a riot; Area 3 will be even better.
  17. I see a lot of guys with CR Speed but I use ready tactical and really like them.
  18. The sectional was really good this year - other than the heat! Met a lot of good people and had a great time.
  19. Never really thought about cleaning mine but after all of these replies i'll certainly give it a try. Man I love this forum!
  20. +1 to that building science link - I used a lot of their info to deal with insulation issues, humidity, etc. The way I built my walls was to use extruded polystyrene foam boards against the block walls and then build out the walls 4-6" from those foam boards. It's what building science recommends, and I even had a basement waterproofing specialist look at it as well and it's what their company now does on all basements in the area- something about creating a pocket for air circulation...maybe more info than you wanted but there you go. Also be sure to fill the floor joist overhangs with closed-foam insulation.
