I like AA2230 and TAC. Get the hornady bulk 55 fmjbt w/c. Wideners or mid-south shooters will have them in bulk. great bullet for the price.

It's great hearing about all the young kids shooting steel challenge and USPSA. Can't wait for my kids to grow up...What I think you can take from all this is that if the kid gets used to a gun - 34, 35, 1911, so on, they'll do fine with it. I dont think it's a matter of one gun being unfriendly vs. any other kind of gun - just look at Miko Andres - the kids 6 and shoots a .45 single stack.

Pat likely they'll hold as evidence for some time before final disposition of the case. Then they'll release it. But it shouldn't keep the insurance company from being able to declare it as totaled in any case. A no-bail arrest warrant likely means he did something pretty bad before being apprehended by police or failed to appear for a hearing and now has to see the judge that issued the warrant prior to any scheduled bond being posted. Hopefully he'll get what's coming to him...

Damn that makes me sad. Prayers for all of these heroes.

I thought Alpha was Larry's best book yet. Granted, not as much gunplay in this novel but it had a really compelling story and character history which is leading to a really great ending at some point (hopefully not too soon!). Keep 'em coming Larry. I think his writing is exceptional. Duane's article in the Blue Press shed some light on the author. Very cool guy.

Duane's post makes a lot of sense. I've kicked around the idea of ordering a new Gen 4, 34 but my Gen 3 works so well a new gun isn't needed. I guess it's just an excuse for a new gun, but it's got to be reliable otherwise what's the point...
