  1. I have a 4' light with T8 bulbs hanging over my press in the basement. I works great.
  2. It will be perfectly safe as long as the trigger is covered. From what you have described the retention holster you have will be fine.
  3. Shooters Connection
  4. How many rounds are you hoping to load?
  5. Dillon is the way to go and Brian's store is a great place to buy from. I bought my 650 there and have no complaints.
  6. SNS Casting and Black Bullets International
  7. Some of it depends on what you are shooting ( major versus minor scoring) but a good rule of thumb I go by is try to shoot as fast as you can and still get 90% of the point. Example: if the stage has 100 target points I try to shoot it as fast as I can and still get 90 target point. That means in major you could shoot 10 C but in minor you could only shoot 5. Hope this helps, I'm sure others will have different ideas. Good luck.
  8. I shot 7 this past year. I hope to shoot about the same amount this year.
  9. Get an undersized die for your 650. Also if your rounds are chamber checking in your barrel then you should be good to go.
  10. I'm no expert, but you could work on shooting into and out of position. Your split and transitions seem to be good.
  11. Although I did not shoot it that great, I wish every major had some type of standards. Long range and weak hand, strong hand really shows true shooting skill. I don't want all stages to be like that just one a match. Had a great time, can't wait for next year.
  12. Had a grea time at the match today. Thanks to all who were involved. Can't wait until next year.
  13. They look go I would just be careful with the start position of the first stage. Seated with knees under the table and back against the chair could invite people to knock the table over with the gun on it or knock the chair over causing a tripping hazard. Remember all shooter are not the same size nor do they have the same athletic ability.
  14. All brass expands when it is fired. The sizing die will get it back into spec when you reload it.
  15. I was born in Gainesville and love the town. Good luck with the shooting team.
  16. I enjoy reading about the different ways top level guys practice. What drill are important to them and why? Do they train differently for certain matches?
  17. You could disengage the grip safety on your 1911 or tune it so it just barely has to be touched. If you shoot your 1911 in both IDPA and USPSA just use a piece of electrical tape to pin the grip safety, that way it is not permanent.
