  1. The second belt also helps hold the gear just a little farther from the body, on us guys with spreading middles.
  2. I had to put, I think, the Kings safety on my two. They do not use a grip panel cut to retain the right side. I'll check Brownell's when I get to work. If it is a Kings, they ues a special hammer frame pin to hold the right side.
  3. Or try Sinclair. They have a special ball end mic for case necks.
  4. Welcome, and keep it turn'in.

    Intro

Good Luck with your endeavor. I' ll try and get some of our indoor COF's to you. What type of range equipment do you have?
  6. I know its not a popular position with some, and its been tossed around a lot here, but , I would like to see not only open 10, but open revolver.
  7. You guys have been scareing me on the P22. Had to take mine out this morning, and try it. Works fine with highspeed .22's. We've sold about ten so far, and had no complaints or returns. PMC, Win and Remington all ran fine.
  8. Relax, and have a good time. Go slow, and watch your muzzle direction and trigger finger. Take a few light snacks, and watch how the other shooters go through the COF. Imitate thier path, but not thier speed. Be safe and have a good time.
  9. Thanks to all the Millcreek PSL members who came despite the weather. Cars and tractor rigs off the road all over KC, and we still had 23 shooters. A few bought guests for the annual luncheon. Looking forward to another great year! Thanks gang!
  10. I get about $6 per hundred rounds for bullets, primer and powder, and reload the brass for practice until I crack or lose it. For larger match stuf, use once or twice fired, sorted by headstamp. Usually lost brass matches. May not make a difference, but I feel better. I don't think you can reload Blazer aluminum cases. Wrong primer. Stay with a major manufacturer of brass cases.
  11. Is this a legitimate proposal, or someone’s dream? Leave L-10 alone! If it's on the agenda, I would like to know. The published agenda is vague enough to have been drawn up by a bunch of politicians.
  12. I keep $100 bill pinned in my range bag for this kind of call. I’ll arbitrate this one in a heartbeat and win. We reward the shooter for bullet/shot hits. Penalize them the same way. Wads, frags, splatter and bugs don't count. Recalibrate the falling steel. How fast does a wad have to go to make minor?
  13. MP's and Shore Patrol?
  14. L-10. Six on the belt, and Barney mag in the back pocket.
  15. Oh, and leave the divisions alone. They work now. JJH
  16. Whats the stuff look like? Could it be Udder Butter, or a type of bag balm? (OK, don't start. If you know a dairy farmer, ask them what I mean)
  17. I have to track the thing. After a little pratcie, its not to bad. Just don't loose track of which one's been shot twice, and which one needs shot next.
  18. Way to go Flex!! "at the beep, engange the targets as they become visible"
  19. Tdean, the rule you sited says: 5.7.1 In the event that a competitor's handgun malfunctions after the start signal,... A failure after the start of the COF, but before the start signal would seem to allow a competitor to get a second chance at the COF. Fix your holster, gun, change batteries, get your hearing or eye protection on, and come back when you are prepared. 5.7.1 et al applies after the beep .
  20. Let me see if I understand this right. I drop one of two shots on a nondisappearing paper target that is to be engaged from a box. At this time I am down 5 points not earned, and ten points for the miss. Total of 15 points down. If I move downrange and engage again from outside the box, and score an “A”, (which I couldn’t or didn’t do from the box), I earn 5 points and a ten point penalty to be down 5. And any extra time I needed to make the out of the box shot. Is this right?
  21. Probably shorter. Think of the profile of the two rounds, and load the hollow point to look the same in silhouette as the round nose, except for the blunt end of the hollow point. Match the ogive contours. See if that doesn’t get you closer on reliability.
  22. Sounds like the gun may be cycling on the link, and the lugs are not bearing their share of the load. Before I started messing with the firing pin hole, I would probably look at a properly fitted barrel. How do the top lugs look? The old barrel may just need to be hard fitted. Since it is starting to have ignition problems, there may be some other factors involved; like Flex said, high primers come to mind. None of my .45’s, including the Glock in the night stand, hit their primers in the center.
  23. How about sharing the contents of the email?
  24. Most eye glasses for distance veiwing are focused for near infinity. The major makers of custom shooting glasses can change your focus length in the dominant eye. I use a set from Morgan Optical that give me a better view of the front sight and target than my regular driving glasses. They take a little getting used to at first, and I only use them when shooting a stage. Change to regular tinted glasses inbetween.
