  1. The additional market demand markups are going to be donated and not for profit. http://www.skdtac.co...4-p/mag.502.htm
  2. My experience is, when using a clamp it does pull barrel down or pulls tube up. Either way it puts stress on the barrel but once you zero a slug your good to go until you shoot the snot out of it and the clamp moves and therefore so does your poa/poi. If you do tighten the shit out of it so it won't move during recoil your okay till you have to remove it for cleaning and then you have to go prove your poa/poi again so you know what you got. I won't use a clamp unless I need a sling and then I'll put the clamp on before the match and zero for slug at 75 yards. Most matches don't require slings so my poa/poi is always the same when I take it down for cleaning because I don't use a clamp (no stress on barrel). Just my $.02 Sent by iPhone
  3. Once it's set I don't mess with it. I do set it up with little more gas than it needs just to error on the safer more reliable side so when I go to a match that is one thing that I won't have to worry about and I can concentrate on the stage breakdown.
  4. RickeyT, here are some pics of my latest JP SCR 18" light with JP/Syrac gas block.
  5. The Syrac and JP gas blocks all clamp on. I set my gas to run on all the cartridges I'll run in that gun. I will run 55, 69 and havnt had the chance to use 77 grain yet but the gas is set to run all three with an additional twist of more gas to give me the warm and fuzzy. The JP rifle will come with instructions on how to set the gas block along with break in for the barrel and other stuff as well.
  6. are the low profile jp gas blocks just as good? Yes they are, you just use a little little bit of blue loctite. The JP gas block is accessible from the side and the JP/Syrac is from the front. You will most likely have two setting when shooting with and without a can. Either way you go is good, hey JP sells them both. Get what you want. The heavier barrel is what some like and I've had one and when I'm shooting multigun I didn't notice the little extra weight. However I did get the scr with the light barrel and JP/Syrac gas block, thats what I wanted and now I know thats what I like.
  7. Email JP about the accuracy difference between heavy and light contour, they will know. Sent by iPhone
  8. The web site at JP says they will contact the purchaser for FFL information and payment after you submit rifle build in 1 to 2 days. Usually Ben is the person you will hear from. He will go over the build and answer questions then collect payment. I would be surprised if you don't hear from them for a few days. Good luck!
  9. I hate that panic buyers can all of a sudden choke up money for mags, guns etc. but does not contribute to any gun activist group like the NRA.
  10. This. Send it to Brandon. +1 Call Brandon. I think I've seen a Matt Cheely pistol done with an SV grip as well. Call Matt also.
  11. Anyone looking for a hotel? Had to back out and canceled hotel stay at Days Inn in Thibodaux.
  12. Let a competent 2011 gun smith take care of it. Your hammer follow isn't going to fix itself. Good luck.
  13. My $.02 I don't see Oakley sponsor anything at USPSA matches not even a stage. Rudy Project does, so I bought shooting/safety glasses from a USPSA contributor (Rudy Project).
  14. Just cancelled a hotel room at Bridgeport suits this morning if anyone is looking for one.
  15. This is my favorite lever thus far. Anyone know who's magazine release button is that on this rifle?
  16. I've found Wolff to be close to advertised weight and ISMI to be around 2 LBS lighter than stated.
  17. I load 3.9 gr of VV N320 with 200gr Bayou Bullet at ~1.187 and get 170 PF. This is with Federal primers and used range brass. Also this is out of a 6" Schuemann barrel. Star low and work up. Maybe start at 3.7gr.
  18. Shooting USPSA at orange gun club tomorrow at 9am. Come out and join us.
