  1. Get some Molyresin. It is the best and easiest for the do it yourselfer. The teflon sprays are to soft and the backing laquer is no where near as good as Molyresin. I do use Alumahyde when I feel lazy or I can't bake the part.
  2. My conversion was very finicky with ammo. I switched to Federal Automatch and it has been flawless. Don't run too light a mainspring also.
  3. I have reloaded very little for my .338 but so far I have purchased my dies from Sinclair. The Sizer has a bushing for the neck diameter. The seater is a micrometer type. I don't remember the brands right now. I use 250gr Scenars because my TRG doesn't like 300gr. For powder I use Retumbo. It is very accurate with this. I also bought a hand priming tool and use Federal large rifle magnum match primers. Someone should post soon that has more experience. There is a LOT of info on the Sniper's Hide website if you don't find it here. Good luck.
  4. http://www.countryinns.com/quincyil I stayed here last year and it was VERY nice. My favorite place so far.
  5. I feel your pain. That is my favorite also. I still have a couple cans left though.
  6. Moly resin is the best way to go. Easy to apply, resists heat better than a lot of other spray on coatings and is durable unlike many others. Get it at http://www.molyresin.com/ Many shops use this stuff and put there own name on it.
  7. My Advantage Arms kit is great. My buddy has 2 and they work well with the ammo recommended. You do have to clean them once in a while to keep reliability up. That is just how it is with 22s.
  8. I have 2000 150gr fmjs that I would like to load in 9mm for shooting falling steel matches. Probably 136 to 140 power factor. I will be shooting these in a 1911 with 9mm mags not super length mags. Does this sound like it will work OK? What powders should I try? Thanks!
  9. I recently had a new Krieger barrel that the accuracy went away fairly quickly. The shop I got it from recommended scrubbing with JB paste. It took a while to get it really clean but it shot good again when I was done. Copper wasn't the problem, carbon was.
  10. The Miller/Smith and Wesson matches were always my favorite. They had great props and interesting courses of fire. This is one match I will try to be at next year.
  11. I load on the 1050. I empty the powder measure and make sure it is out of primers. I lube the brass and run it through to size and swage. I then trim with the Gracey. Tumble. Now take out the size die and load on the 1050 as normal after adding powder and primers.
  12. It may sound strange but after my father died one of the hardest things I had to do was erase his phone number from my cell phone. It made me think how I would never talk to him again. It has been 7 years and I am crying again thinking about it.
  13. If you get your thumb caught between a case and the die you will take it off. Hmm how do I know that?
  14. I love Grand Funk. Now even more.
  15. You could also send it back to Ruger and let them fix it. Take out all the aftermarket parts first though.
  16. Are you sure the ammo isn't the problem? Remington golden bullets are great for misfires in my guns.
  17. My Briley handle broke about 2 weeks ago. It did last for about 3 years though. I just put the stocker back in.
  18. I love the Addidas GSG9 boots. Oakleys are comfortable but not great in the slippery stuff for me.
  19. My goals right now is weather control. Working on no rain right now. That would be greatly appreciated.
  20. Yes I think it is the classic. Do a search here. There are many posts telling how nice they are. Be careful when ordering because I think there may be 2 reticle choices. A plex and some type of shotgun reticle. I could be wrong though.
  21. Not having a box to try I was wondering if there is any problem with the Tripp mags fitting. The gun has a S&A mag well and Bomars. Nothing trick.
  22. I used the 1X4 for quite a few years. The only problem is that it isn't a true 1 power down low. I just bought a Weaver 1X3 for my sons AR and to tell you the truth it may be a better scope as far as field of view at 100 on 1 power. Much cheaper too.
  23. Hmmm....wonder if he tried using Burner's Jeep to pull out Burner's truck? Ouch! I remember that.
