  1. This was posted by Todd Jarret on Facebook. I hope it is ok to put it here. I know both of these men deserve recognition. Thanks, Bill We keep losing some great individuals way to soon. Philip Hemphill Retired Law Enforcement from Mississippi passed last week. If you ever meet Philip you will never forget him. Full of life wherever he stood. An amazing shot and a winner on an off the range. Truly will miss him. Dick Metcalf passing would be sad for me in many ways. If you ever shot at PASA Park in Barry. ILL it was an awesome fun place over the years. He built one of the 1st major Practical Shooting Facility that most will not forget. He put USPSA/IPSC on the map for decades. Dick was also a great gun writer for many publications over the years. For me winning my 1st Nationals Championships on those grounds will be something I will never forget. If anyone remembers the 80's and 90's at PASA leave a comment below. RIP to both of these men and there contributions to the Firearms Industry.
  2. Are Berry's plated? I never got great accuracy out of plated bullets. Maybe others have.

    Cracked Frame

I have found that it will last until it cracks. Sorry had to. In my experience it is usually good after repair but may crack somewhere else. I had a Caspian frame welded 3 times, different places

    Cracked Frame

Try Jim Milks at Innovative Custom Guns. He can fix it I'm sure.
  5. 160 Bayous and N20 shoot great in everyone's 929 that I know.
  6. I'm no expert but when I asked a couple pros they said 130-135 pf. This was 15 years ago. Maybe things have changed but it worked well enough for me.

    Unique

I used it in 225 gr loads for bowling pins years ago. Power factor was a bit more than you need though. Seemed ok.
  8. I want to shave the backstrap down on my 320 X5 Legion TXG grip but can it be stipple like other guns? I don't want to do any coatings.
  9. The only reason I have a comp is to make the gun louder for the timer. Don't see much if any difference. That's not much powder to work with.

    X5 Legion

You can get an extra power reset spring that cures that problem.
  11. The 2 USA made mags I get 23 in do not have Grams kit. Just lucky. Guess I should try one. Does the slide lock back with the Grams follower?
  12. I found with 21 rd mags and TTI extensions I can get 23 in 2 out 3 USA marked mags and only 22 in mags marked Italy. Maybe that is why some have problems. Italian mags a hair tighter?
  13. I use 10 lb in my 4 9mm 1911s. Have tried 9s but just prefer the feel of 10s better.
  14. I cut a piece of bicycle inner tube about 2 inches long and use it as an extension around the primer cup. I cut one end on a little angle. Now it is completely preventing primer jumps
  15. I have one of these I purchased used. It is very cool being a bit rare.
  16. Try Jim Milks at Innovative Custom Guns. Fantastic gunsmith
  17. I shot with all 3 of my boys as they grew up going to USPSA and steel matches. I told them I don't care if you continue in the shooting sports but I want you to be able to handle guns safely. One day my youngest was invited by his friend to shoot paintball guns. As they finished up my son walked out with the other kids but he was the only one that had his trigger finger outside the trigger guard. I knew that day my job was done. I am so glad you are shooting with your son. They remember these times for the rest of their lives. Take care
  18. I have been using the AR Gold Trigger in mine with no problem.
  19. Is the slide stop still able to lock back after accu rails?
  20. Send him an email or call. His business is Innovative Custom Guns
  21. Jim Milks is fantastic. He will get it tight again
  22. Happened to me once when I tried Froglube when it first came out. I threw it all away and went back to militec. No more problems
