  1. I got a Kodak video camera, too. Can't wait to try it a the next match! And I should have asked for that Cheely gun - I just got a new truck, instead.
  2. I'm in the Glock category: "What you think it says: 'I am a serious shooter, dedicated to my sport and self defense and so I carry the most popular firearm in law enforcement.' "What it actually says: 'I didn’t want to do any actual research before buying a gun, so I just bought this hunk of plastic.'”
  3. It's pretty, but the roads are fine. Haven't had a white Christmas in a long time. Hope everyone has had a great day. Ken
  4. The only mistake I made in law school was marrying my first wife.
  5. Great video and pics. Thanks for sharing!
  6. I've gotten two in the past - one to two months.
  7. Very nice! The trigger on that gun is wicked!
  8. Go ahead and get your feet wet. If you are hesitant, go watch a match first. Safety (and the range rules) are the number one priority. Steel City, Moss Branch, Central Alabama, East Alabama and Heritage (all have web sites) have regular matches. We practice at the FOP range in Pleasant Grove on a regular basis. If you'd like to join us, send me a PM. Ken
  9. thats what sticks out in my mind, awesome video! Thanks for sharing I'd have to see the water walking guy in person to believe it.
  10. The Dawson Ice Magwell seems like a good choice.
  11. Well said. Bring that gun up high, within you line of sight. Push the gun back in after the door is open.
  12. I've used that set-up without any problems.
  13. Is the mag release button on your Glock hard to push? You may need to adjust the tension to allow for an easier release. With large hands, you should be able to release the mag without any undue effort.
  14. Find a fellow shooter who is using a FO sight and try their gun. You'll probably like it.
  15. Happy birthday, old dude!
  16. Try 'Member Support.' Much improved website.
  17. I offer the following suggestions, since I am guilty of all of them: On your draw, move your weak hand up to meet your strong hand - there's a bit of a delay where your weak hand hangs around waiting for the action. If your move both hands at once, it tends to keep your shoulders and head square, so you aren't tilting your head on the draw. Go ahead and start your reload when you begin your move to the next box, and get the gun up in front of your face on your reload. On the steel, it seemed like you were just throwing rounds down the range until you finally hit. Your cadence sounded pretty much the same regardless of whether or not you were hitting your target.
  18. I've spent more on guns than golf clubs, but shooting a match is cheaper than a round of golf. I think it's a matter of priorities.
