  1. Ahhh great news. Though you are giving up a great gun to get another great gun IMO Love those stainless Sig Sauers
  2. Well, I hate to sound like a parrot.....but, I would too... Just wait until you start beating most of the auto guys with antique technology. You'll be hooked.
  3. Saul Kirsch has built a 9x19 gun. Jury's still out.
  4. TL, I understand and respect your opinion on the movie and Moore. It's a shame you live so far away. I would have gladly lent you my copy (so you wouldn't have to support him in any way) so you could form an opinion based on the movie itself. I agree. It is impossible to "see the truth" through someone else's eyes. I think he has some morals and ethics. He at least pretends to have some. I don't agree with them though. I think his morals and ethics are influenced by the virtual politically correct public opinion. He implies he has a message, but throughout the movie it remains unclear what that message is.
  5. I'm with Erik Warren on this one. I think the movie is not a piece of crap. I found a lot of things quite disturbing though. The thing that disturbed me is that Moore is working the layman's gut feelings. The editing is very subjective (like the scene where he follows this guy into his bedroom (no camera) and says the guy put a gun to his head and cocked the hammer) Just stating that the movie is crap and not backing it up with some decent arguments would make me the same as "anti gun folk" just stating that guns make society a dangerous place.

    New 625

Hi, nice to see another fellow revolver shooter here. Stock springs work fine, but Wolff or Miculek springs give a marginally lighter pull with the same reliability. It all comes down to personal preference though. Just make sure you seat the Federal primers all the way. This makes a huge difference. They have to be at least flush.
  7. I found it searching Google for some "practical shooting" related forums (IPSC stuff). I found the old, old, old forums (the first ones). Lurked there for a while. Brian set up the "new" forums and I saw he sold a book. I joined the forum and won the book with my first post . I was the fifth member I believe (and haven't posted that much, compared to some of the "new guys" )
  8. Very nice! I love guns that are "different" from the rest.
  9. Merry Chistmas and a Happy 2004!!!
  10. The dream rig for revolver would be: - S&W (6)25 .45 ACP (barrel length from 3" - 6,5" depending on personal prefs) - CR Speed Revolver holster - CR Speed belt - Caliornia Comp. Works clipholders (8 is good, 6 will do in IPSC) - Enough Moonclips (50+ is nice) - Demooner - and, oh yeah...put a nice grip on that revolver - and chamfer the clinder chargeholes
  11. Just a small addition/correction: In Open, you can use less than 120 grain bullets for minor. The 120 grain rule applies to major only.
  12. LOL, I signed it for ya buddy.
  13. Travis, that is great news!!!
  14. The only cool Christmas parties I've ever had were in my art school days. Imagine yourself as a single 19-year old, and one of 5 guys at a party with 90 girls, all in the 18-25 range. Ah, those were the days Rest of the Christmas parties suck mostly, so I feel your pain. Funny, I also do the whole dry fire thing when parties become boring/annoying.
  15. Shred, I take it you're talking about Production and revolvers now, right?
  16. I've said this before, but I think rules in revolver are pretty close to perfect. I wouldn't change a thing.
  17. Number 3 in WSXIII (production) shot a Jericho/Baby Eagle. Number 2 shot a Tanfoglio (CZs and clones WORK). I heard somewhere that one of the disadvantages is that the factory trigger is pretty heavy, and cannot be smoothed to competitive levels (IPSC rules) very easily. For USPSA it's a gun I'd consider buying.
  18. There's some info and pics in this thread: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?...7418&hl=halfman
  19. I just bought a digital Lyman scale. I would have gone for the Dillon, but I could buy it used at a very reasonable price.

    Congrats 300lbs. !!!
  22. That's a great thought, and it oughta give you some peace of mind, right? In the long run, your mental well-being will be way more important than x hours of dry/live fire, I would think. Just remember to have fun in your life, be it at home or at the range. [thread drift/on] That's exactly what I was thinking two years ago when I bought my first 625 for $200. It will help, and it's a pretty addictive game too. I haven't touched my auto's in a year or more. I learned to "sweep" the trigger (,instead of prepping it) and keep a perfect sight picture. It has helped me very much in the accuracy/follow through department. [thread drift/off]

I love the way you guys are trying to cheer me up LOL Luca, I'm still here man! Still feeling the same, but you gave me a good excuse to drink wine, so it's all good Of course I used red wine. Threw back half a bottle, and I never drink....so that was quite an experience A wimp, huh? Now I know in what direction to cough
