  1. Just another mystery? Ican't find anything in the rule book where he should have gotten a reshoot? must have been the the moon's gravity pulling on the earth, causing a slight wobble that made everyone dizzy and thought the rule book was from mars and you don't have to use it. I hope I'm wrong and someone will have a better explanation.
  2. 2 FTEs, not 3. He engaged the popper, just didn't hit it (assuming missed in the OP means shot at and missed, not ran by without seeing....). Agree with the 5 mikes. Edited for clarity OOPS! My bad! By the time you wade through the junk it's easy to forget the original post
  3. 5 mikes for all the targets you missed! 1 on the steel, 4 for the paper targets 3 FTE for the targets you didn't engage!

If he is backing away from the barrel but still shooting through the barrel. It would be hard to say he was not engaging a target!
  5. Calling it a level one match is an excuse for bad stage design!!
  6. Same target presentation, No targets are cut up. The shoot target is just turned upside down. You see this now and then with just head shots. I had a stage likle this at the Nats in Montana with just head shots where some of the targets had a No-shoot just below the head. This is not much different, just upside down! Sometimes you have to come up with better ways to to the same thing. Same sneeky idea!! Presentation1.ppt
  7. I'm looking for an USPSA club by Lodi, WI.. Anyone now the name of the club or Web site for them? Thanks Duane
  8. 3.3 Applicability of Rules: USPSA matches are governed by the rules applicable to the discipline. Host organizations may not enforce local rules except to comply with legislation or legal precedent in the applicable jurisdiction. Any voluntarily adopted rules that are not in compliance with these rules must not be applied to USPSA matches without the express consent of the President of USPSA
  9. Any time I am shootig, you will have a “significant advantage” over me
  10. 5.2.4 During the course of fire, after the start signal, unless stipulated otherwise in the stage procedure, spare ammunition, magazines and speed loading devices shall be carried in retention devices attached to the competitor’s belt and specifically designed for that purpose. A competitor may also carry additional magazines or speed loading devices in his pockets and retrieve and use them without penalty once having dropped or exhausted his primary magazines. I have read this a bunch of times and still do not see where it says it is a procedural to use a magazine from your back pocket while you still have magazines in a mag pouch on your belt? The only thing I see about a penalty is where it says without penalty. Anything other than that and you are making it up!! The rule book may imply allot of things, but you can only make rulings on what the rule book says not what it implys. No penalty. Call the RM, pony up the green and Arb it. Duane Eggers
  11. I was a CRO at an area match. Shooter came through my stage did way better than they expected to. When it came time to show clear, in thier excitment of the moment they tried to do the flip thing and catch it. Didn't work droped the round and went to pick it up. Bad news for the shooter. When he went to pick up his round he swept himself, the RO's, the gallery(you new he got the gallery because they all had that OH Sh-- look)and broke the 180. Big time DQ!! All because he saw some other shooter do it and thought it looked cool.
  12. Funny thing about sandbaggers. You usually don't see them at bigger matches. They usually find out it is embarrising to get your butt handed to you by A & B class shooters when you are an M. How to be a Master class? You set up a few classifier courses at your local range and run through them 25+ times until you get a Master class run and send in that one. Sounds like bunk, but I have seen it. I'm sure I'm not the only one!!
  13. Right. Whatever you notice has already happened. be There is no present to think about, only what was and what might be!
  14. It didn't seem much better when I was there in "74"
  15. Funny thing about shooting a Division. I started in limited division in 2001 because that was the gun I had. Then I went to the gun store and came home with another gun for another division. So I shot in that one too. And now I have shot in all divisions but open (I'm not old enough to shoot in open). They are all a blast to shoot, no matter how I do I have to have a great time doing it and no matter how I did I still have to go to work on Monday. Duane
  16. I can see it now, when the next rule book comes out it will be about 450 pages and each match will have to have a real lawer at it. Some people just can't see the forest through the trees. Duane
  17. I used two of these on a stage at Pine Island, MN for a Toys For Tots match on Saturday. It worked just like you would expect it to. :roflol: First shooter=1C & 1M on one of them. And it went like that for the next 68 shooters. Some said it wasn't a legal target. Show me the rule that says it's not legal and I will take it out. Then I got "why would you put in a target like that" I gave them the guy standing behind a pole. It was fun watching them shoot it. Some shot at it 5-6 times, they couldn't hit that 2" black stripe any better if they were aiming for it. Thanks Duane
  18. I should have never looked at this site before the match Saturday. (MN. Section Toys for Tots Match at Pine Island, MN.) I have plenty of time to add a 2" stripe of black tape to a target or two before the match starts. I get to be the RM for it to. At least I have someone to blame it on. "YouAll" You can learn so much on here. Feel the Love Thanks Duane

    texas star

Area Three last year first target a Texas Star. I smoked it went 5 for 5. My head must have momentarily swelled up because after I did my reload I missed the next target, a metric target at about 6yds. Go figure!!

  21. Gaming is one of the greatest learning tools for a stage designer!! You either learn how to design stages to overthrow the gamer, or you go sit in the corner and lick your wounds (Ego)!
  22. You put a block in the turner so it only falls so far and remains visable. They have had them at nationals before. I had on one my stage a couple years ago at PASA.
  23. I like my chances of coming in third or better! ...really though where are all the wheelgunners? Since I am shooting on Friday, I can claim to have been the points leader in Revo (for a day....) So where are the other revos? WRONG I'm shooting with the staff on thursday. So until at least friday I get to be in 1st place, maybe!!
