  1. Jeff not only took first in the team and 13th overall but only got 1 mike for the whole match. That was his only penalty. Congrats Jeff and can't wait for the IDPA national results. [shameless plug on] Did I mention that I'm his Gunsmith. [shameless plug off]
  2. ....but telling someone 'HOW' to carry that prop is dictating a shooting stance. I believe the stage is illegal.
  3. How can they think this stage will hold up to the arbitration. They would have to anchor/tether that box to the ground to force the shooter to keep their arm straight in order to comply with the rule posted above. They can't just 'tell the shooter' to do so. O.K. With that train of thought I could write a course discription and state that the shooter must "Hold the chair against the ground with their butt" and I wouldn't be stipulating a Shooting position or stance, I would only be dictating how they carry/hold/manipulate a prop.
  4. The line, "So people can go hunting with Uzi's?" Was actually used by the "Hero" in this total piece of crap movie. This thing was written by the Brady bunch.
  5. Good idea. You may also think about getting the Tek-Loc attachment for it. This stops the "dig in" you get with a CR Speed belt where it pushes into your waist between the "Stingray" attachment slots.
  6. Just don't flick any spiders around her. She smacks pretty hard.
  7. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/enforcement http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/enforce The word "Enforcement" states that someone will make someone else abide with their specific issue even if the have to use force to do so. Our free society throws this word around like it's just another highspeed-lowdrag word to use in their title. We have "Law-enforcement" (The only one that is close to understandable) "Code-enforcement", "Game&Fish-enforcement" and I could go on but I'll just link the word "Enforcement" googled and ya'll can see what I'm getting at. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=e...G=Google+Search. The straw for me was when I was driving to lunch today and saw "Animal control and ENFORCEMENT" on a Dog catchers truck. I don't think the word was used as much in Nazi Germany as it is here in our U.S.of A.
  8. This Idiot should perform the old "Muzzel to my head" chamber clearing technique.
  9. "Jacobs Ladder" "To Live and Die in L.A." "Things to do in Denver When You're Dead"

    Which one?

Manlaw #1: It is WRONG to be French. (just a joke from Married w Children, everyone relax). But, you know what, the new GF kinda does, so I'm not going to rule it out. The problem with speaking Spanish during the heat of the moment, is that my experience is that it can also lead to yelling Spanish while chasing me with ny variety of impact weapons at other random times. Has this one already been covered? Sexier: Tasteful Tat or Piercing? Tat Fast or slow
  11. Some times things just need to be emphasized no matter if you are carrying a gun or not. Since when is it the job of the Police to dictate and control what emotions and feelings a person is suppose to have in a given situation. They are not, no matter how much they or others believe they are, the parents of society. The only thing that cop should have been concerned with was who broke what law and that's it. The good Cops already know this.
  12. You can order the flat basepads for the M&P compact from S&W and put them on your full size mags. I just did it and it works great. I would say that grinding the nose off of the M&P basepads would be illegal in Production division because back when the whole "Finish" issue was going on I asked John A about it before they actually ruled and I was told that "The best way to look at Production rules is that if it doesn't state specificly that it is allowed then it's not".
  13. That's easy for YOU to say Mr. "I'm from planet Shootsincrediblyfast".
  14. It is just as easy to think "I can" as it is to think "I can't". Both attitudes are habitual orientations to life that can become automatic with practice. Neither attitude has as much to do with the task at hand as it does with the inner spirit of the person facing the task. in either case, the task is the same-only the attitude is different. But what a difference! The "I can" people are the ones we want to spend time with and to use as models. These are the people who either have never lost, or have worked to regain the positive outlook we are all born with. It never occurs to a baby, for example, that all that staggering and falling means he or she will never learn to walk. Babies grow, move forward, succeed. They haven't learned to hang back or fear defeat. Knee-jerk negativity is something we can all do without. Let's backtrack to that time in our lives when all things were possible....because they still are. Today I will focus on my successes. This is from the book 'Days of Healing -Days of Joy-' "Daily Meditations for Adult Children" By Earnie Larsen & Carol Larsen Hagarty
  15. The Warrens look pretty damn good too. I like mine.

  18. Why didn't they just 'BITE' through the fricken plastic bags??????? Great flick other than that.
  19. Everyone has touched upon everything I noticed. Here's a few more "Pointers" for ya though.
  20. After getting a new 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited for my B-day in November I wasn't expecting anything big for Christmas but my wife still managed to surprise me with a Chase-Durer watch that I've wanted for a while. For my anniversary (Jan. 1st) I'm getting my Jeep lifted, rock guards/step bars and a Tuffy Lock-box for the back.
  21. I don't buy that there was ever any intended "Spirit" for PD. I believe it was started to pull people over to IPSC from IDPA and that's it. I think they tried to cover the intent buy saying it was for people to get into the sport on the cheap because they knew that would be a byproduct of the division but it was started to take shooters away from IDPA. If it was only so people could get in cheaply then why have the holster and mag pouche positions? I also believe, after a great deal of contemplation, that they didn't get as many IDPA converters as they thought they would so this trigger pull limit rule is another attempt. I feel that we are on a slippery slope with this because we are going to get the same anti-gamer complaints from the folks coming over from IDPA because they like the basic rules of that sport better than they like the basic freestyle rules of IPSC. This isn't an us vs. them thing it's just that people like different things. I like IPSC rules better than IDPA so if I went over to IDPA I'ld probably complain about the rules which is why I have never shot IDPA, not because it's a bad sport but because it's not "MY" sport. Let's keep IPSC/USPSA rules as they are and IDPA rules as they are and stop trying to change them so we can "Steal" members. They are all great sports in their own right and they get people out shooting and in the end that's what it's all about; isn't it? The Glock 34 & 35 were designed and produced in 95-96. At least 5 years prior to the introduction of PD.
  22. I find it funny that Voight voted yes for the 3 lb. rule after I saw him on Shooting USA during the Bianchi Cup complaining on TV about the 2 lb. rule placed upon them. I wonder if he would vote yes on a minimum trigger pull for open?
