  1. We should call all targets B.H.Z.'s (Bullet Hole Zones). Although, I call the ones I shoot at B.H.R. (Bullet Hole Resistant).
  2. I liked it all three times I've seen it and I'll watch it again. Great message. Live FREE or die Protecting Freedom.
  3. Lower deck 40 yard line tickets to the Capital One Bowl (Gators vs. Michigan) as a Christmas/Anniversery gift (Our Anniversery is Jan 1st). My wife graduated from U.F. and loves football. I'm so lucky...........
  4. Since this is very likely to get closed soon I'll slip this in..... It's not the Government of the United States duty to CONTROL us. It's our duty to CONTROL the Government per our Constitution. That whole concept has crept away over the decades and THAT is the problem, not the guns.
  5. Superintendent for one of the largest General Contractors in the world. We build Schools, Hospitals, Commercial buildings etc. Currently doing a $21,000,000 add to an existing High School.

    1967 vs. 2007

But it sure can hinder us Parents from doing it. "Did you hear about the drug-free ADD treatment? It's called "Shut up, sit down, do your homework"... Or get your butt worn out...
  7. If you didn't play the game you may get a little lost with the character build-up or lack there of, the agency that #47 works for and you basicly won't know the back story because it's never explained. You will still enjoy it because of the action and story plot. It does have a feel like the Bourne series or "Leon, The Professional". I played all the games so I loved it.
  8. I had a 6 point walk out on me once while I was 'watering the daisies'. It stepped out and just staired at me untill I began to reach for my rifle which was leaning against a tree, then it took off before I could get a shot on it. I've shot deer off a stand that I peed close to. It won't scare them. Appearantly deer don't smell human pee and think "There's a hunter who's going to kill me so I better stay away from there."
  9. 1. The wonderful/beautiful man whom so graciously signed "Organ Donor" on the back of his license which granted my 5 y.o. niece a new kidney. PLEASE, Be an organ donor. 2. The many blessings that God has granted me and my family. 3. My friends. 4. Our Troops and their willingness to make the ultimate sacrifice to protect our Freedoms and those of others. These are things that come to mind immediately. I really have so much to be thankful for that I don't have time to type it all.
  10. Had to work yesterday (Saturday) missing this weekends USPSA match so I went and shot an IDPA match today. This was only my 3rd or 4th IDPA match so I didn't expect to burn the range down with perfomance. Right off the bat I received a procedural for reloading out in the open. I had a plan in my head for the stage but didn't stay with it. I was paisting targets while I was on deck because I figured if I can't prep the stage then it doesn't matter. Well, it does. After the first stage I stopped paisting and helping when I was on deck and went to the start position as soon as the shooter before me finished. I would stand there going through my plan in my head. This helped quite a bit, not as much as ghosting the stage but it did help a lot and I shot the rest of the stages per plan to the letter. What this made me realize is how important stage prep and rehearsal is to my performance. The more I prep and the more time that I have to study and break down a stage the better I perform.
  11. I hit a cow on my dirt bike (Can-Am 125) and killed it when I was a kid. It had broke fence and got out. The guy who owned it buchared it and gave it to my family because he felt so bad about me crashing a tearing the hell out of my bike (I was wearing full dirt bike gear and only got bruise up a bit). If it had been a deer and I had kept it I would have been poaching according to Arkansas law at that time and they could have taken my bike and fined/arrested me. I guess they had a lot of problems with people poaching via crashing vehicals into deer.
  12. You are only 19.16% away from GM. Flow, See and shoot 20% smoother and you're there. Way to go!!!!
  13. Politics influence 95% of our daily decisions. Politics rule our lives and govern our behavior. Politics is an important subject that has great bearing on our lives and it should be discussed to a great extent and often. JUST NOT HERE! There are plenty of online forums that do discuss politics and if anyone on here has problems finding one then P.M. me and I'll be glad to guide you to at least 50 of them. I come here for the peace and escape from the normal drone of everyday life/work and to get into something I have a great deal of fun doing. I come here to learn, discuss, and inform about shooting in a positive atmosphere. Gun Control discussions bring about a negative aspect no matter if everyone posting agrees or not and I come here to get away from that. I am very politically active and involved in 2nd amendment issues to a great extent. I give a large amount of $ in support of our 2nd amendment rights. I do not wish to read about, see a thread about or poat about it here. That's why I love the "No political discussions" rule that Brian has imposed. Because I deal with it so much everywhere else I enjoy getting away from it here. Thank you B.E., I greatly appreciate it.
  14. I shot a 87.4890% in production on Fluffy's revenge 1. A good attitude and a little dry-fire practice is paying off. Master class, here I come.
  15. HA!HA! Saw this coming. Actually I just notice that Flex didn't state what type of competition. How many glass bottles can you shatter in a row at 25 yards.
  16. I was replying to this statement: I believe in insuring that the firearm is safe "incase" it is dropped and calculating that instance into the decision process. I don't agree with going into the purchase of a firearm with the belief that it is highly likely that you will drop it. That's all. And, by the way, Welcome jixi290. You can learn a lot here.
  17. your dog, cat, hamster, the neighbors kids, your spouse, your Preacher and everyone else. Seriously though, if you going into this expecting to drop your gun then you WILL drop the gun so I recommend that you don't get one if you are in that mind-set. The attitude that you should have going into this is "I will get whatever training necessary to handle my firearm safely at all times no matter what." Example: I am 41 years old and I got my first firearm 8 and handeled my first one at 4. I've been actively shooting regularly since the age of 11 and spent 8 years in the U.S. Army where I had a gun in my hands 98% of the days I spent there. I've been shooting competitive pistol since 1999 and have had a gun in my hands at least twice every day since 1997. I have NEVER dropped a firearm. I'm not saying that I won't but I'm saying that the chance is very unlikely because, from an early age, I've learned and been trained in the attitude of respect that a firearm derserves. I can't answer your original question but I can say that you should not get a Semi-auto or a Revolver if you expect to drop it.
  18. I'm shooting the Fl. Open 2008. I'm gonna have fun. It would be nice to win a prize but I'm gonna have fun. Hope I win but I'm gonna have fun. That's what it's about.
  19. The shooters that won HOA and 1st B in production at the Monster Match and the Florida Sectional shot M&P's. Blade-tech DO holster and Blade-tech mag pouches, C.R. Speed belt. Warren Tactical rear sight ans SSS fiber front at .185 hight and .100 wide. 39 oz. trigger is as light as I can get it for a production gun but I'll get it lighter for a Limited gun when I can use set screws (Hey Nemo?). Actually, I have to say that Nemo has the best M&P trigger I've ever pulled and I've pulled Burwells, Langdon's, Mooney's, mine and others.
  20. Cold!! I also keep the "Crown" that I add to it in the freezer as well.
