  1. I pull the slide off before every match and clean everything in sight. I have never stripped it completely down and have several thousand rounds through it.
  2. I've put skate tape right over factory wooden grip's. That's worked well.
  3. ^^There's that answer^^Carlos didn't think you were bagging on skinny guns. I know Robbie(I know he's TGO) has won L10 Nats with a 6"SS gun, I think the one on his site under Gunvault is a 6" 45. A couple of issue's ago Front Sight mag had him taking 3rd at a big match with a chopped up 6" gun there was a pic of it also.
  4. L10 gm's? Would you care to post some level 2 and 3 matches, other than nationals where a classified gm shot L10? So far I have seen 0 this year. Do you mind if I ask why did you choose to build a 6' ss for l10? Seems a wide body would give your more options, cost about the same? Never mentioned GM's shooting L2 or L3 matches. I know that Robbie shot a SS and took 3rd and Corey Estill shoots L10 with a SS, I'm just saying that there are top shooters out there that shoot L10 with a skinny gun. I was commenting on L2 matches that I have shot, I don't feel handicapped with it. As far as the 6" slide when I first got into this game a friend let me shoot a 2011 and for some reason just didn't like it I much prefer the 1911 platform so I figured while having the 5" done why not have the 6" built to go with it.
  5. I shoot L10 with a SS Trojan 40. I started this journey at the end of 09 beginning of 2010. I only shoot L10 and have just became a B class shooter with it. I have done well enough with it. I shot several Level 2 matches and have done well there. I'm actually having a SS gun being built with both a 5"and a 6" slide for it and do not have any plans in changing division's. As far as 1911 VS 2011 mag changes if you practice that will not be a factor. I know of a couple of people that have shot L10 with a skinny gun won and have GM next to there name. Mods done are Dawson FO front, Techwell grips and magwell, 12.5lbs recoil spring, trigger job and Tripp mags with Dawson alum bases.
  6. Try not belling it so much, this was the suggestion from Dillon when I had some bulging issues. The problem went away immediately. Call Dillon they are great at troubleshooting and there open on Saturday if needed.
  7. Here's a good place to start http://www.k8nd.com/documents/hl40sw.pdf
  8. My Daughter shoots a Trojan 9mm and loves it.
  9. Limited 10 47 0 7.44 6.3172 worked out to 63.68
  10. Thanks Spanky not complaining just wondering. I never really paid attention and Whit and I shot together and we were comparing them and my HF was higher than his ended higher than mine
  11. Can some explain why when this is shot in Production(4.8682HF) it results in an A class 81 percent. But I shot it L10 and it only comes out to 64 percent.
  12. Shot this today. L-10 Good time, down to many points but decent. I think it worked out to a 64.84 48 0 9.86 4.8682
  13. Shot this one today, had my second B class score. Looks like I might be moving on up, if I did the math right. Division Pts Pen Time Hit Fact Limited 10 53 0 6.20 8.5484=63.92%
  14. My daughter runs 9mm 10rd Tripps with Zero issues. She's shooting MG 124CMJ's out of an STI Trojan.
  15. Foldable Hand Cart is fancy way of saying dolly. I bought mine from Lowes and it does the same thing only cheaper. That being said when I shoot local matches I use a fancy wagon I bought from Lowes so I can cart my daughter's and my range bags around. If I shoot out town I use a CED backpack which has been great. I see that IShot just came out with one (pricey)that looks to be very nice and a little roomier than the CED BP
  16. I think there is a trend towards 6" guns, I've been to 3 bigger matches in my area and they are definitly being run. They are a different breed from years ago there slides are chopped up to get the same weight as a 5" gun with a longer sight plain. I'm not building a Limited gun but a SStack with both a 5" and a 6" topend.
  17. I have a CED back pack that stores it's ammo in the bottom, it's access is on the side. It has 2 closure's Velcro-ed like the Gurkha but it has a zipper also. I have a bad habit of leaving it unzipped and have never had it open unexpectedly. I like the fact that the Gurkha looks to have a little more room than CED. The price is a tad steep but if it's like there other product's I've bought in the past it should be worth it.
  18. If in only a few short months you have scored 70% or better on your Classifiers CONGRATS you are the exception to the rule.
  19. Here's my match video. http://www.youtube.com/user/TCKev#p/u/6/2gWcoJgaBU8
  20. 40 is a hella lot cheaper. Yep cheaper Hole .45 vs .40 .05 hundreds difference While I understand your point if that was the that big of a deal there would be more 45 shooters. Just Saying
  21. Great Match. Thanks to all that worked hard to put this together. Here's the results link. http://www.uspsa.org/uspsa-display-match-results-detail.php?indx=1476
  22. Shot this at our monthly match. First B class score for me. 3 down at 7.44 for a HF of 6.31 for a 63.60%. Lim 10 with a skinny gun. You can see me run it on my youtube page.
