Cool looking blaster.

For SS is the DOH option legal? If I understand the rules you can only use the Belt holster model. Before I buy one or the other if someone could clarify this I would appreciate it.

Welcome. Most of the stuff I've seen at match's and read is most people shoot 9's in IDPA and the 40's in USPSA. Those that shoot on a regular basis shoot a 2011(Double Stack) handgun. Before you buy a gun committed to one of these shooting sport's I would go to the match and make a decision based on what you see there. I just bought my first 1911 it is a 40 S&W STI Trojan with which I have no regrets but I wish I had seen a 2011 before I might saved a few coins and gone that route.

What is the benefit or purpose of loading 40 S&W out to 1.18" for 1911&2011 type handgun's?

I have been having a bear of a time trying to get my major PF reloads tweaked. First the flaring of the brass setting, I have set and reset the depth of flaring and still get some lead shaving's, I have tried deburring, lube and still I get this small shaving at the brass line. Then the seating die marks the bullet all the way around, I actually polished the seater and still get a mark although it's alot less than when I started. Looking for some advice.

Does anybody have a 155gr load with N320? I'm shooting my first steel match and I have limited time to get this going. I looked thru some post but most loads were for Major PF. Any Help will be appreciated.

To shoot Single Stack? I've read someplace that you could need 7 or 8 mags, so what is it really?

Well I've read a bunch of post about Single Stack's till midnight last night so hear goes. I'm going to send it Tripp for the tuning and his mags, either SV or Techwell magwell, Dawson FO Front Site. I think I'm going to buy the recoil and mainspring and change that myself 19lb MS and a 12. 5lb Recoil Spring. I'm not to sure about the grip's but if I think the TW's would work nicely if I went with there's not sure if you need a certain grip with the SV. All opinion's welcome. If I need some straighting out let me know, I'm a newb and have a lot to learn.

G-ManBart do you have a full frontal shot on that blaster?

I'm new to 1911 and SS's. I bought an STI Trojan In .40 Cal and plan on tuning it up some, but what I was wondering was can you just install Wilson Shock Buffs or do I have to do some kind of spring change? I would like to also add a TW magwell but I'm a little confused on the right sixe to get, I've seen both the XT and the next size down talked about so which will make the box everybody is talking about? Any and all suggestion's will be appreciated. Thanks Kevin
