The apps for the LA Gator Classic will go out in May. I will be sure to give a notice a few weeks early. I will be posting them here, Bayou Shooter, MS Gun Owners, Boomer Shooter and http://lagator.org/. If there is another site I need to get it on please let me know.

I've tried them all. the best thing to do before you spend your money is to go to a match and ask to look at someone's gun. I had the XT my friend has an SVI. In the end I like the Dawson. The size of your hands makes difference also, it's the way it pushes your hand up into the beavertail.

I have shot an Akai CZ since the Miss Classic without a hitch which includes Double Tap and the Gator Classic.

Dawson Ice for 1911's is what I'm using for all 3 of mine.

I have had Ed Brown ambi's on my 40 Trojan for the past 3 yrs with no issue. I just had a custom 1911 built and had them put on it also.

My oldest daughter shoots a 1911 and she has small hands. She has VZ thin grips with the thumb relief notch, along with this she has a D&T mag release with a CR Speed extended button. With this set up she doesn't have to rotate the gun to do a mag change. She originally shot a Wilson extended mag release, it just sticks out a little different. Here's a pic
