Make sure your seeing the front sight. If you haven't started dry firing you can buy a couple different version's of Dryfire training book's, glean all you can from them and start practicing. Soon enough your target aquisition will get much better. At the next match ask if you can get a target to take home you'll need that to start some of the drills they will show you. They will teach you some mag change drill, target index drill's etc. etc. It helped me a lot. I think it helped me go from a C class shooter to a B class shooter.

UA makes some Wounded Warrior hat's. There hat's are awesome for those hot day's here in south LA. They wick the sweat off and it evaporate's.

Yeah. Virgil or Aaron has to modify them to work. The follower has to have a spot relieved for the rib in the mag and the slide stop ledge has to be lowered. It's easier just to ask for Cory mag's!!!

I have Dawson basepads on my Tripps but he sells basepads for most mags.

You will find lots of people here with a 9mm 1911. It's a great steel gun along with SS minor.

There was talk of starting something in Lafayette but don't think that's happened. There is however some matches in Thibodaux a USPSA on the 6th(a day early I know)steel match on the 8th and then a USPSA match in Gonzales on the 16th. The problem is there 3hrs to Thibodaux and 2.5hrs to Gonzales probably less than that but that's what MapQuest says. Other than that there one further north in Winsboro.

Not sure what division your wanting to shoot, but that model is a Production gun unless you got a dot and shooting open. You'll be put into Open with that holster.

Shot this Sunday Lim10 with a skinny gun, best classifier to date. Time 3.35 HF 8.9552 Classifier Calc says 73.40%

TGO in L10. Shooting A 6" skinny gun Jerry in Revo. He shot Area4 with 1 other GM and 2 Masters and won every stage. He might be getting old but he ain't loosing it just yet. What a great Ambassador of the shooting sports. We get to see him and Kay shoot at our local matches. Blake in Limited, he shoots with us locally also and the mans a machine. He's at the top of his game. Kale in Production, I get to watch him to, incredible talent Max or JJ in Open.

I have the original CED backpack and really like it. The only problem is they should make them in different colors like there range bags, hard to tell them apart.
