The 223 w/ 68 gr. @2900 out of a 24" barrel has less drop than the 308 at 600 yds but about 9" more drift in a 10 mph crosswind. No big deal. CZ makes a 24" bull barrel target w/ 5 rd. detachable mags. Will look into it more.

When I worked at STI in 95" , they cut the barrel feet the same on the cnc equipment. When fitting to a gun, it would take different size slide stop pins to lock up tight. Instead of recutting the bottom lugs, they would just put a different pin in till it fit. add a screw & slide stop drilled & presto, a fit. Not a great ideal though.

In years past we thought locktime was very important. We used titanium hammers, 23# mainsprings, titanium mainspring cap's. We figured we could get a hit on paper instead of a miss if the locktime was super fast. Did'nt work worth a damn, still had misses. Went back w/ light set-up.

My 6" fat free, 165 jhp @ 1.170 5.0 320 for 1050 fps.

Sorry there is no pleasing you Guy. I pay my money & try to shoot a match as well as I can. If I tried to fix everyone's gun at a match that ask's, I would never finish on time & my mental game would be crap worring about everyone's problem's. I will do a lot of thing's for the shooters , but I need to enjoy my game also.

Guy, I said to send the gun to me after the match & I would fix it for free. I alway's hate to see a great 3-guner lose because of equipment. You were the best there in limited class. I just wanted you to do better.

GUY , you had more points in limited class only. points are figured off of your comstock scores. the higher the comstock, the better score you get.Your stage comstocks are as followes, stage 1-2.9132, stage 2-6.4855, stage 3-3.5296. I finished 3rd. in open & comstocked stage 1-3.2026 stage 2-6.2753 stage 3-3.9574. comatock is stage score divided by time, so while you kicked ass in limited , you did'nt in open class.

Guy is right. The breach face is for a super & not a true 9mm. with slower slide vol. the next rd. in the mag is pushing the empty case up above the ext.

Listen to tony, 20" is what's winning. Faster shot to shot w/very little muzzle movement. 16" guns are harsh & takes longer to get the sight picture back after each shot.

Ross as usual is right. Most guide rods have to be fitted, especially the tungston ones.

Has done grips for me & they were 1st rate.

Have never had a slide crack. Guns will alway's have recoil & muzzle flip. Learn it, master it & kick ass.

Let's keep this simple. w/ your lite load use a 12# recoil spring w/ a super comp tuned ext. With 9x23 use the same ext. w/ 18# recoil spring.

They make most of their money teaching classes all around the u.s. all year. They live out of a suitcase most of the time. Todd say's he teaches about 40 classes a year @ 395.00 a student for about 15-20 people a weekend.
