  1. try holding the frame upside down by the grip. very gently tap the front of the dustcover twice, then the back, where the beavertail goes twice, repeat untill frame drops free. any twisting at all wiil crack the grip.
  2. I build my comps for any size ar15 barrel. Have installed them on the heavy barrels & yes if you want to see your bullet impact, you need one. Not to mention fast follow up shots.
  3. was given one at the RM3G match to try. So far it has helped & does what it was made to do. quick & easy loads
  4. most sti grips are broken when they are taken off the frame improperly. there is a right way & a lot of wrong ways. make sure to do it right.
  5. kurt miller own's the one on the websight. tell him to post.
  6. on every sti I build I put the left leg of the spring in a vise & bend it in some so it will never slip off.
  7. nosler 125 gr. blistic tip/ 45 gr. IMR 4895
  8. load to factory lenght for single stacks. 1.275. ends nosedives & feeds good
  9. transition from target to target is slower & it is harder not to overswing a target when you have your elbows in. If it was better most of the top fast shooters would be useing it.
  10. want less mass, put in the J.P. low mass system. I have been useing one for awhile & could never go back to a reg. one.
  11. a new top end on your frame should run about $1200.00 blued.
  12. he-man 1- neal,2-rhodes,3-latham all tac. combined 1- taran 2- salmon 3- hawkins 4 - hill
  13. weld them up & refinish. when you need the gun the most, one of the screws will go into the dustcover & lock up the gun.
  14. Pistol pete, one of our local shooters, larry white, is going to sell his open gun to shoot limited only, It is a 5" full house w/ schumman hybred barrel & short 3 port comp. It was tuned by me & runs really nice. has everything on it, 7 hi-caps, dies, 2000 rd. new brass, etc. $2000.00, has about 9000 rds in it.
  15. It is not always the amount of rds but how fast you shoot them & how hot the throat gets. The heat is what burns the throat out usually & not so much the rd. count. I. E. shooting 400/500 rds really fast in practice.
  16. If you use ISMI springs in the para the nose diveing will be history.
  17. bad bullets, stick with zero or montana gold and things will be good again.
  18. green #620 will hold better than the rest.
  19. Kurt, as you know, if you lean my benelli against a tree, you would not be able to see it with my specical camo paint either .
  20. george is right. If a 16 " was as good as a 20" ,all of us that usually make the top 10 at most of the matches would use one. Look around at what barrel lenght we use.
  21. you need to show up & see a very funny thing this year, me shooting a limited gun for the first time in a year, wont hit shit, but will hose.
  22. If you break this one , remind me not to leave shotputs or anvels around you.
