  1. The factory 110 Tactical and Desert Tactical take AICS and might work. Maybe you can find a take-off or trade for your chassis.
  2. Foxtrot Mike also has a youtube testing their upper with various lowers.
  3. I have one, and the thing that hooked me was the "feel" of the action. I wasn't looking for a rifle that expensive, but after playing with it, I knew I would always want to get one. Recoil lug, I don't care. None of the custom actions is going to have a recoil lug that isn't rigid or "strong" enough. The Pic rail on top, the advantage/disadvantage of integral is obvious. It won't come off. If you have one, no worries that it will loosen. Also no ability to change it if you want one with a different angle. Mauser claw extractor? They can be wobbly and not as smooth as a round bolt, just not a fan. BTW, Terminus was started by the Curtis action designer, so Terminus and Curtis have a lot of similarities. The Tikka option is worth exploring. West Desert Shooter on youtube went through a lot of variations with his. It's quite a long range blaster now. They are also very smooth, though not as much as the Curtis, and have a 70 degree bolt throw iirc. Lots of stock options are available, a chassis or GRS Berserk or Bifrost.
  4. Doug Koenig, factory Ruger shooter, uses one.
  5. For a 9mm consider the Ruger Charger.
  6. FWIW Blackout subsonic punches IIIa armor with ease.
  7. There is also a new Trigger Tech cassette-type that's MPX-specific. Or the KE Arms with a linked disconnector that sits below the trigger so the hammer can't hit it.
  8. This sounds right. I have one from a couple years ago. Older Glock mags fit well and drop free, but new ones that fit ambi Glocks are a tight fit. To the point that I got Magpuls to use in matches instead. I also got a newer lower (so I could build a pistol) and all the mags I have drop free.
  9. There are youtubes on how to burn them out but it's slow. It involves drilling deep holes, flammables, and usually a full day or two until they turn to ash. You sort of have to keep watch so the fires don't get out of hand.
  10. For reals? I have a bag full of receivers somewhere.
  11. That's because there's a lot of crap out there put together by clueless people.
  12. I had a colonoscopy years ago when I was taken to the hospital for diverticulitis. Drinking the goop and blowing the poop was horrible. At least it was a short walk to the procedure room and back. I'm highly resistant to opiates for some reason so the Demerol cocktail didn't knock me out. It was about like 1 Heineken. Luckily the colonoscopy didn't hurt either. I was able to walk back to my room without trouble. Fast forward to a new doc who says I should get another one. I tell the doc of my concerns since I live 80 miles away. How am I going to do the prep garbage, how am I going to drive home when they say I'll be loopy, etc. "Don't worry about it" he says. The hospital will tell me what to do and none of that will be a problem. I called them and they say they don't know what my doc is talking about, those ARE all problems. The desk person I'm talking to tells me they'll consult with someone and get back to me. Of course they didn't. So how the hell does someone that doesn't have a wife to drive them everywhere get this handled? I can't be the first.
  13. It looks like the magazine on the FM lower is not at the usual Glock angle. Is there a story behind that?
  14. WRT tape, since the grip module is changeable, take a look at those. The Wilson one is fairly available and fairly cheap.
  15. I just coil it up and put it in my range bag, but it's a pretty big bag, an old Ernie Hill.
  16. I chose the FM upper because of the side/forward charger. It's reminiscent of HK rifles. The handle can be moved left or right so it's good for lefties. I haven't tried a silencer yet, but without the normal charging handle channel I'm hoping it's less gassy. Some of the rearward mounted side chargers can crash into your face if you leave the gun mounted.
  17. California law, which is aimed at preventing people from buying any guns eventually, essentially does not allow any semi--autos put on the market in the last several years, to be sold by ffl's. There are some special routes to getting a 320 which I don't feel like explaining, but suffice it to say that used 320's go for over a thousand bucks. So people buy 80% fcu's, and spend a couple hundred bucks on jigs and whatever to make one. Then they buy the parts sets and they can get a 320 at an almost reasonable price.
  18. Dang, I have crappy eyes like OP. How did the sights work out? I have a nice old West German 226 that I got when that's all you could get and shot it in USPSA before there was a Production division. This thread makes me want to dig it up and knock the rust off of it. Do they let you use 20's? I still have a couple. What holster were you going to use?
  19. I have an Elftmann, but I don't think it's an AR-9. I got my MPX used and the Elftmann was in it. The hammer follows the bolt sometimes, which is not an uncommon problem with 9mm rifles in general. I talked to Elftmann and they are fairly sure it just needs the slightly heavier spring that comes in the AR-9, as that's how they've fixed a number of triggers with the same issue. I haven't gotten around to pulling it out of the gun yet to send it back to them. There's no PCC nearby anyway, and with the covid... Mine has almost no creep. You really have to look for it. It has a straight bow that I really like.
  20. That's because you don't have to move it. You can just wheel your log out there and drop it in the grass.
  21. Probably can't seat rn deep enough in the case for the case to held them. Look how shallow those bullets are.
