Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. What I've listed, upper, lower and trigger
  2. Just getting started in pcc's. Not wanting to dump alot of cash in at first so I'm planning on my initial build being a fm9 side charge upper mated with an fm9 glock lower with a cmc 3.5 flat trigger. Not sure of what comp I'll run, most likely holosun for optics. My question mainly involves the buffer systems. For those that have run fm9's, is the factory buffer usable or should I look into hydraulic or air? Short stroke or leave as is?
  3. Well, I got my stimulus check the day after I got the gun and that wasn't a good combo lol. I went with a Brazos ignition set with the disconnector, Dawson ice magwell, Dawson front sight and full length ss guide rod with 14 lb Wolf spring. Swapped the Ti pin for steel firing pin, fit new firing pin stop with wolf firing pin spring and Ed Brown extractor. Full polish job throughout and finished off with a set of VZ operator 2 grips. On my trigger scale its pulling 1lb 13oz with a crisp break. Have only had a chance to fire 50 rounds but have had 0 malfunctions using 230grn rn BBI over 4.2 grn of titegroup. Guns operates very smoothly already and expect the operation and trigger to get better with time
  4. Just picked up a great deal range officer as a platform for a single stack/cdp gun. Planning on Ice magwell and fiber optic sight and vz grips. Other than the usual polishing/spring tuning, what are some other mods that you more experienced in this class would advise? Certain triggers, guide rods, slide stops etc?
  5. I do like the forward position, dont really have to change fireing position to cycle a malfunction. More to consider and research..... Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  6. As far as the side chargers, I like the thought if that as well. Ive seen some videos of the Foxtrot Mike fm9 with the side charge but haven't found a whole lot of info on them yet Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  7. I've built plenty of ar's but Allah's is about to make my head explode lol. I have 2 sreipped ar lowers at home already, hadn't really thought of using the adapters as I figured the dedicated lowers would be a better choice Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks for the reply. Was wanting to make sure before I made the jump Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  9. I'm contemplating building a pcc. Ive found a very good deal on a complete Taccom ulw upper with bolt and am looking at a cmmg dedicated lower that accepts colt mags. Ive read its better to get all major components from same manufacturer but was wondering if anyone has built this setup. I reload so adjusting bullet length etc wouldnt be an issue if needed
  10. Can't find one. The 15 thats in it is the lightest I've found.
  11. Loading 147 bbi rnfp's over 3.2grns of 231 at 1.10 in a p09 with a 15lb recoil spring from cajun. Making about 130pf and haven't had any ftf or fte's but the spent brass drops about 2 feet from me. Is this common? Wondering if I might get a little faster slide operation and better ejections with a hotter powder like titegroup. Wanting to stay close to 125 pf as possible
