  1. The cost of ammo or components is really a small cost when compared to everything else about this sport.
  2. Need to adjust the tension on your shell plate.
  3. Will these same blind reloaders also be shooting?
  4. So at 1%, that means you can do it 99 times, right? Kidding - why take the chance? That's exactly what I was thinking, only do no more than 99 and never do the 100th one, what could go wrong?
  5. Only Frog Lube for me. This stuff is great. Good lubrication but absolutely the simplest cleaning, just wipe the parts down with a rag. Carbon and fouling come right off even in the comp. I even use it for cleaning the cMore glass.
  6. I heard they weren't putting it on this year.
  7. Great match again. Thanks to all the RO's and Staff that made it happen.

    iPhone 5 Ugh...

If you're not needing a water proof or rugged application case I really like my Mophie. I've had them for my last 2 iPhones and waited to get the iPhone 5 until Mophie came out with the case for them. They have a 1700milliamp battery built into the back. I'm a heavy user and the factory battery usually won't take me past 4pm at which point you flip a little switch and have a full charge ready to go. The case will protect your phone, does not have a screen saver (which I detest anyway) and only makes your phone slightly thicker. The slight thicker makes it easier to hold on to for me. Anyway, something you might want to check out. Are they for everyone? Nope, but I like them.
  9. I really like Frog Lube. Makes cleaning your gun a simple matter of just wiping it down with a rag and reassembling. Plus you get the added benefit of a nice minty fragrance if you put lots on for the first mag.
  10. I used to have Ghost holsters and switched to the Race Master. The Ghost was fine but what I really like about the RM is that the gun is rock solid when locked in. No back and forth motion at all. Not saying the gun would come out of a Ghost but I just much prefer the solid feel of the RM.
  11. Last time there was a shortage, 2008-09, we had an Iraq/Afghanistan veteran that was making his own primers shoot with us. He'd take fired primers pull the anvil and push the dent out of the cup. Then he sandwiched a piece of cap gun cap in the cup with the anvil. He found the key to making it work was using the anvil in the cup it came out of. He had some failures, maybe 5-10% but it can be done. I'm sure all the Prepers out there already knew that preparing for TEOTWAWKI. May sound crazy but not as crazy as trying to use LPP in 9mm, naturally that's just my opinion. ;-)
  12. IMHO 7625 is a little fast burning to work your comp efficiently. I like 9.0 gr of 4756, 121gr MG IFP, OAL 1.234", Fed SPM primers, Starline SC or TJ brass. This is a slightly compressed load but no over pressure issues. In my guns that produces around 178 PF. I have run 124 gr Zero JHP just pull the charge down by a tenth grain. Never used Autocomp but have used VV 3N38 which was good but left a little cornmeal type stuff in the gun. No big deal but I found 4756 to be as good or better at a fraction of the cost of 3N38. Some RO's complained about the noise with the VV. Don't load more than just a test batch until you can chrono in your gun. I haven't met anyone who enjoys pulling bullets.
  13. I sent an email rather than a letter hope they check their mail.
  14. We shoot USPSA (Lee County Action Shooters) in Hobbs NM the 1st Saturday. There's IDPA at Midland Shooters Assn the 2nd Saturday. There's also WTPS USPSA match the 4th Saturday near Levelland.
  15. It's an amazing thing that these auctions made it past the comrades at eBay.
  16. I don't think retailers are gouging if they raise prices when there are shortages. Think about it this way. In any retail biz you make a profit and pay your overhead and bills by buying stuff and selling it. What if you can't buy stuff? You have no way to pay bills and overhead, forget profit. How will you pay your staff, pay for your building or utilities. So if you have some product in stock to sell you have to raise the prices to bring in cash flow to cover your future expenses that you won't be able to cover because you won't have anything to sell.
  17. I've been checking their web site for several days now but you can't get to the pricing or ordering pages. I'm sure they're like everyone else and slammed. Anyone know if that's why their site is down?

  19. Here's another vote for frog lube. This stuff is great. I even use it on my c-more lens with great results.
  20. What bothers me about this is that all the rest of us in the more rational states are just a step away from this lunacy that Californians are enjoying.
  21. Those of us in the Southwest are accustomed to hearing bullets whizzing overhead because this is the desert. Wouldn't it be nice to have berms built of loam covered in lush green vegetation, grass carpeted bays and never have rain while we shoot. Well, the almost constant sunshine, lack of rain and 100 degree temperatures with 4% humidity preclude everything else. So, given the choice between slogging thru mud ankle deep and freezing your appendages off, I'll take hearing richocettes whiz by any day. It's called "Desert Sportsman" for a reason. An added benefit is you never have to dig thru snow to find your brass.
  22. Hey Eric, are you shooting Open also? Terry
