    Major 9 Open Gun

Nice gun, but that stack of money in the first photo isn't nearly big enough to pay for lunch let alone the gun! Nolan Just another Silly Person!
  2. Way to GO!!!!! My congratulations Kathy. Nolan Just another Silly Person!
  3. Has Nolan Smyth thought about making a Hosercam with a 480 line or higher resolution cam? Probably wouldn't cost that much more. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, I've tried about $2,000 worth of different "better" cameras and they really weren't all that much better. Some had a better color balance, some had faster exposure adjustments, most had a sharper better image. Most of them did not have sound or had such bad sound that I had to build a microphone & amp. Then there are the Digital Video Recorders that I've tried for wired (no transmitter/receiver) use. I have $900 worth of Lyra's and Archos's that just really aren't what I want. Yeah, probably wouldn't cost that much more! Nolan Just another Silly Person!
  4. I'll second Doug's sentiments and add a few of my own. What a great match! I had a great time even though I shot well below my expectations (+4 seconds on the Rimfire match of my local match times, within 1 second of my average on the Limited match in spite of a broken extractor adding many seconds, and +/-1 second of my average on the Open match.) I had the worst case of "Match Nerves" I've ever had. Now I have a new set of goals (More realistic Expectations!) and know what I need to work on for the next Steel Challenge. It was great shooting with Phil Strader, Julie, Taran, the Daves (Sevigny & Olhasso), Randy Jackson, Jame Ong, Curtis Feutsch, Erik(I think I left a lung on Outer Limits)Warren, Buffy, Dave Antonini, Doug Carden, Ben (1st shooter) Hoffman and all the others I've forgotten to mention. Highlight of the match: During the Rimfire match when I set up the HoserCam on Gene (Gunny) Ramey's stage and he asked me "What's that thing?" and as I pull the BuckRodgers BuckMark out of my range bag, I answer "The electronic aiming and guidence system for this" Gene's expression was priceless! Lowlight of the match: During the Open match watching Erik doing his best to leave a goodly portion of his lungs on the ground after hiking up the hill twice to Outer Limits! Nolan Just another Silly Person!
  5. Yeah, the fight scenes in the original were better, although the firehose fight in #2 was pretty good and would have been much better if they had slowed it down just a bit. I loved it when he had everyone tied up with the firehose, then he turned it on and walked away. It was a good touch leaving it to your imagination of what would happen when the firehose went rigid with water pressure while wrapped around throats, intertwined through arms and legs, etc... Nolan Just another Silly Person!
  6. I think the moderators do an excellent job! Most of the time I don't even notice they ARE moderating. So thanks Ladies and Gentlemen. Nolan Skilled, but otherwise unremarkable
  7. Happy Birthday to both of you! And to think this whole thread got started because of my warped sense of humor! Nolan Skilled, but otherwise unremarkable.
  8. Man I want a black W12 powered armor plated S8 so bad I can taste it. What great armor! It can smash through concrete walls, repeated .223 hits and not a scratch! It didn't even get dusty! Death by Rabbit! Of course if Black is too high maintenance there is always this: Audi A8 Nolan Skilled, but otherwise unremarkable.

Hahahahahaha! Engineer, Normal working hours? That's like Military Intellegence or Honest Democrat or Rosie O' skinny! Congratulations, but don't plan on working any normal hours unless you think 80 hours a week is normal. Nolan Skilled, but otherwise unremarkable.
  11. Shred, One possible method is making the grid out of ‘sockets’ set in the ground for the 4x4 uprights to be inserted on match day. Biggest drawback is the sockets always get filled up with trash. Another method would be making the uprights about 16 inches tall then using 4 inch PVC tubing slid over the 4x4s. Drill and tap the PVC for a 3/8 bolt to lock them in place. On match day set up only the required PVC uprights and clamp/strap the wall modules to them. Nolan Skilled, but otherwise unremarkable.

  13. [Tounge firmly planted in cheek] Come on look at all of the good Sean Penn could have done if his boat didn't spring a leak... It's a good thing he had his personal photographer (to document his heroics) and the rest of his entourage there to use plastic cups to bail out the water coming into their boat..... http://www.megastar.co.uk/world/news/2005/...jAwMjM2OTE.html [tounge our of cheek] Some place there is supposedly video of them bailing water but I haven't found it yet. Classic, couldn't have happened to a better person. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Photos of Sean Penn here Spicoli Bails Nolan

  15. Take off you Hoser! Nolan Skilled, but otherwise unremarkable.
  16. Howdy, That's probably my HoserCam website. I used to get a lot of complaints (seriously at least 2 or 3 emails a day) that all I posted to my website were Hoser stages. So I posted the Hoser warnings and the sarcastic page the warnings link to. Hoser stages are fast, close up, high speed stages. I guess the Hoser name could come from 'close enough to hit with a garden water hose', or you shoot fast enough to sound like a machine gun, i.e. 'bullet hose'. The warnings were mostly a joke and yes I still occasionally get a complaint, but like I said in the sarcastic rant, it is a HoserCam not the The Really-Long-Hard-Slow-Awkward-Noshoot-HardcoverCam (i.e. WorldShootCam) Nolan Skilled, but otherwise unremarkable.
  17. Osama bin Laden went to heaven and was greeted by George Washington who slapped him upside the head and yelled, “How dare you try to destroy the nation I helped conceive?” Patrick Henry then approached and punched Osama in the nose. James Madison entered and kicked him in the groin. An angry Thomas Jefferson whacked Osama over the head with his walking stick. The thrashing continued as John Randolph, James Monroe and 66 other early Americans came in and unleashed their anger on the terrorist leader. Suddenly, as Osama lay writhing in unbearable pain, an angel appeared. “This is not what you promised me.” Cried Osama. “Oh yes, Osama,” the angel replied. “It is exactly what I told you, that there would be 72 Virginians waiting for you in heaven!” Nolan Skilled, but otherwise unremarkable.

    More Classes For Men

Back in the days when I was riding Harleys I would get a lot of invitations to time-share presentations. I would go to the ones that promised a free week-end in Tahoe just for listening to the presentation. Since I didn't have a car at the time I would ride to the presentation, rain or shine. The reaction was priceless when I would walk in my leathers (dripping wet if it was raining!), but they had to give me the free week-end if I listened to the pitch. Then I would ride up to Tahoe with 8 or 10 of my riding buddies and we would have a great week-end with a free condo! Nolan Skilled, but otherwise unremarkable
  19. David, A nice large can of Mace held in the "ON" position by the closed lid of the center console might make your day a little brighter next time the car is broken into! Or maybe one of those dye bombs the banks put into bundles of stolen money? Personally I'd go for the 1/2 ounce of C4 in the center console lid, the theives will be very easy to identify in the emergency room! Nolan Skilled, but otherwise unremarkable.

  22. Ron, Summer is wonderful. One time I was at the local market having my groceries checked when an outstanding young woman in a crop top and Daisy Dukes sashayed into the store. You could hear every male neck in the store snap, crackle, and pop as all eyes locked onto her massively jiggly top. The lady checking my groceries noticed where I was looking just as I said in my best 3 Stooges Curly voice "Oh yeah, that's what I forgot...MILK!" The cashier just about spit out her gum! Nolan Skilled, but otherwise unremarkable.
  23. I am so sorry to hear about your mom! Meimei and I both will keep you in our prayers. Nolan and Meimei
  24. The Executive Directors of the Steel Challenge are Mike Fichman and Mike Dalton. Their email addresses are available at the bottom of the Steel Challenge webpage The Steel Challenge I suggest you try emailing them your suggestions. Nolan Skilled, but otherwise unremarkable.
  25. Several years ago I had to dispose of a couple of 8 pound kegs of rifle powders that had gotten mixed (I think it was 4895 & 748). So I built a rocket powered toy car out of an old RC chassis and a 1/2 pound 748 powder can. It was a lot of fun launching it down the driveway. My brother Gene came over in his brand new pickup truck so I showed him the rocket car. Of course the battery in the controller died just as I lit the fuse. The little rocket took off and went straight under Gene's truck where it wedged under the front a-arm, spewing smoke and fire! Good thing it was a new truck and not his old leaky truck! On second thought old powder makes good fertilizer! Nolan Skilled, but otherwise unremarkable.
