  1. The Out Takes were pretty F***'n funny! Nolan
  2. Oh man, I think they should ban Ice Rinks. They are much too unsafe! Nobody needs an Ice Rink. They should be licensed and restricted only to Olympic skaters. Think of the children! Sorry I couldn't resist. I sure hope you're feeling better and get well soonest. Nolan
  3. Try checking a loaded round by putting it in the case gauge backwards (rim first) also try just inserting only the bullet into the opposite end of the case gauge. The bullet should fit into that end of the case gauge right up to the case. If the loaded round fits both of the above ways maybe the case is over-crimped or the bullet is seated crooked. Nolan
  4. Please stop <groan> we just got the latest Seagull hack job "Black Dawn" in Meimei's video store and I made the mistake of trying to watch it. OK sorry about the thread drift I'll post a warning about this stinker in the proper section. Nolan
  5. Well, I looked again and sure enough the muzzle end of the pistol sure looks like a Beretta M9, but the rear sight and rear of the slide don't look quite right for the M9. Nolan
  6. Oops, my bad! I re-read the original post and didn't substitute BM59 Beretta for M9 Beretta this time. I'll look at the cover again tonight. Nolan
  7. Just a view of a beautiful sun drenched deck with about a dozen people sunbathing in very skimpy swimsuits. OK a couple of them weren't skimpy they just seemed that way because they were stretched very tight, in a good way! Nolan
  8. Hmm, our copy has 4 guys in a Charlie's Angels type pose with 3 M1s and a 19111 Nolan
  9. I actually liked the casting for Enos (maybe Brian would have been better! ) You do realize the Enos ends up marrying Daisy? Nolan
  10. To paraphrase the immortal Frank Zappa: "Don't eat the yellow...soup!" Nolan
  11. Thanks for the advertisement! Saul uses the Archos AV420 personal video recorder/digital video recorder and a very high quality lipstick camera for his setup. I'm not sure what type of microphone he uses. I've tried lots of different cameras and a couple of different PVR/DVRs. Almost all of the camcorders that accept external inputs have much, much better analog to digital converters than the current crop of PVR/DVRs. To get good performance you must match the camera specs to the PVR/DVR. If you use a camera with 380 line resolution with a 512 line capable DVR the recorded image is very grainy and blocky looking. With a camcorder's better A/D converter the recorded image with the same camera will be much cleaner with less pixelation. The camcorder seems to fill in the missing resolution much better without distorting the image. The PVR/DVRs also use an odd file format that's not always easy to view or edit on your PC without various conversion programs that don't always work very well. The Archos DVR records the sound in MP3 format and the mpeg4 video is a .asf file. Nolan
  12. I agree that it could have been better, but hey it's Hollywood! I would have loved to see John Goodman cast as Boss Hog and somebody like Tom Arnold or Jim Belushi as Roscoe Coltrane. Burt Reynolds seemed to just show up, attempt to do his lines, and didn't really seem all that interested in the role. Nolan
  13. You are a sick individual. I like that in a man! Nolan
  14. I speak from personal experience "RUN!" and don't look back. Whatever bad/sad/guilt feelings you are experiencing are exactly what she wants you to feel. Nolan

    I Hit A Dog

Steve, I sincerely hope your hands do get better, but you absolutely do need to file against the dog's owners. They were negligent in not controlling their pet. I'm not a fan of lawsuits for the sake of lawsuits, nor am I a lawyer and I haven't ever slept in a Holiday Inn Express, but I think you need to cover your posterior on this one in case you have bigger problems with your hands in the future. Nolan
  16. Lake Tahoe. Well at least you know it's fresh! PW Supermarket in East San Jose I'm still looking for a couple of other photos, I'll post them here if I ever find them. One is the Dog and Cat hospital upstairs over the Chinese restaurant and the other is "The Eat and Run" restaurant in Mt. View, Ca. Nolan

    Do You Stop Or Not?

Vallco Fashion Mall in San Jose, Ca. I missed my timing in taking the photo because there is frequently a police car parked on the opposite side of the lane. Nolan
  18. Big Stick all the way booyyeee! I use all 170's except when going prone. I've had all of them tuned, they run 100%, but I only load 28 unless I absolutely have to have that extra round. I haven't had any trouble with them coming out of the mag pouches, plus all that ammo counterbalances my supertanker open gun. Nolan
  19. Yeah, James's avatar is a photo of him at the last Jan. match! Nolan
  20. I saw a funny one today at lunch. I'm on Highway 880 southbound in San Jose just getting ready to take the Hamilton Ave. exit when a California Highway Patrol car zips in front of me, turns on the Red-n-Blinkies and begins the "Weave" to slow down traffic to create a break in the traffic. I'm in the front row of cars once we slow down to about 40mph so I signal and move over into one of the verrrry long Hamilton Ave. exit lanes. A Beemer 5 series (driver w/cell phone & hand glued to left ear) whips past me in the right most exit lane, cuts back in front of me, crosses into the middle lane and sails past the CHP car who had just moved into the fast lane still with lights flashing. I guess it must have ticked him off just a bit because the CHP officer jumped on it, whipped in front of the Beemer and hit the brakes...HARD! Then he slowly started back into the "Weave" Last I saw of them as I exited the freeway the Beemer was still behind the CHP but way out in front of all the rest of the other traffic. I sure hope the idiot in the Beemer didn't manage to exit the freeway before the officer finished the traffic break. Nolan
  21. In both .40 and 38 Super I use two sizing dies, the first is a standard Lee die with the decapping pin, followed by the Lee Undersize die without the decapping pin. I also use a Lee seating/crimping die adjusted so that it doesn't crimp, followed by the Dillon crimping die. I like the Lee for seating because it's very easy to adjust the OAL. Nolan
  22. Go check out Ray Solomon's website http://www.raysolomon.com/page4/page4.html He took these photos of me. Nolan
  23. Another interesting tidbit, if you open the email and then 'select all' from the edit toolbar you will generally see some hidden nonsense written at the bottom of the email. I guess it's an attempt to fool anti-spamware with words that would be found in personal emails. I just got a very official sounding phone message on my answering machine from Dell Financial requesting verification that Meimei's daughter was opening an account with them. So I called the number back, listened to the very official sounding spiel about how to protect yourself from credit fraud with toll free numbers for 3 different credit reporting agencies (none of which I had ever heard of...warning buzzer # 1) and then finally I get to talk to somebody, but first please enter your social security number (warning buzzer # 2) so I enter 123456789 and the operator answers. He wants me to verify my birthdate and mother's maiden name (warning buzzer # 3) so I told him my birthdate was 4-1-1919 and my mother's maiden name was Phucyu! (Click, he hangs up!) No sense of humor! Nolan
