  1. Contact these guys. Detroit Brothers Custom Bikes Warning: Some of their website content may be offensive! (Hideous green paint jobs, ugly women in scanty or no clothing, etc...) Nolan
  2. Desperately needed! Oh boy, we're flying China Air so if we're in Row 32, my knees will probably be in Row 31! Nolan
  3. Again I think USPSA needs to look at the advertising of NHRA. They promote a huge collection of classes for every type of car or motorcycle imaginable. The Pro categories take a budget that would break most large corporations in short order and are shown on TV and pushed in the national spectator advertising, but the 'amateur' classes are what they push in their entry level advertising through car magazines and car events. Seriously they have a class for everyone, I have a friend who races a ‘94 Caprice station wagon with a small block V8. That has to be the automobile equivalent of a Ruger P95. NHRA also has a very solid Divisional (area) championship series as well as the National championship series. I think USPSA is missing the boat in terms of Area and Sectional championship SERIES. I would love to see Sectional championship series put on by groups of clubs in a section, but that’s a topic for another thread. Nolan
  4. I found this on another forum linked from this site Hollister Imaging Nolan
  5. Thanks Ron, I resemble that remark! Fortunately, this forum doesn't require an asbestos suit as most other forums do. I seriously hope Chuck reconsiders his decision to leave. I did and I'm really glad that I did. Chuck just slap on some SPF50 sunscreen, take a deep breath and Stand By! Beep! Nolan
  6. Some people swear by them. Some people swear at them! I used them but quit because of some problems I was having. I think they are a band-aid fix for improper case sizing. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?...e+Factory+Crimp http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?...e+Factory+Crimp Nolan
  7. It's interesting that SASS has a boat load of different divisions and seems to be doing very well in the number of competitors they draw to matches. I don't shoot SASS, but I think they've even got a Left Eye dominate, Right Handed, Gunfighter, Blackpowder, homecast lead bullet, beeswax lube, Wednesday night TV Western division! The NHRA has literally hundreds of classes/divisions and they seem to be doing pretty well in the number of competitors. If you car/motorcycle meets a minimum set of safety rules for the speed you'll run, you can race. I think USPSA is headed in the right direction with the Single Stack division. Leave L10 alone because not everybody wants to run right out and plunk down $1,000 bucks for a new Single Stack. I enjoy shooting L10 once in a while because it makes you look at the stages a little differently. Giving people more choices is always a good idea. Taking choices away sucks! Nolan
  8. Whenever you change barrels or case gauges always check that a fired case from that barrel will not drop in the case gauge. If a fired case will pass the case gauge, the gauge is too big. Nolan

  10. WARNING! NOT FOR THE SQUEAMISH OR ANYONE WITH AN OUNCE OF TASTE! http://www.gkd-ev.de/videos/silvesterempfehlung.wmv Any translations? or do I want to know? Nolan
  11. If you wrapped one of those $90 Tempur-Pedic foam pillows around the gun I'd bet the price of the pillow you wouldn't hear it next door. Of course apartments where people could afford $90+ pillows probably have pretty good walls. At least he didn't flip the safety off before he fired! Nolan
  12. The producers obviously watched Monty Python's "Holy Grail" The Black Knight: "It's only a flesh wound!" Nolan
  13. WARNING! THIS IS NOT FOR THE SQUEAMISH! http://www.hugi.is/hahradi/bigboxes.php?bo...51208&f_id=1000 Nolan Remember go as fast as possible and take all unnecessary chances especially while driving a forklift!
  14. Please accept my apologies for my recent posts! I’ve learned a couple of important lessons: 1. Do not post when you are so angry/depressed/frustrated over other ‘events’ in your personal/profession/competitive life that you let them color your responses to well intentioned actions of unrelated people. So again I apologize! I’ll do my best to put down the keyboard and back away until I cool off. 2. There are a lot more great people here than small people. Thank you all for the kind words in your emails, PM’s and posts, even if some are ‘damning with faint praise!’ This was never a battle, it just hit me the wrong way at the wrong time and I responded in the wrong way. There is no excuse even if I was in the second day of a migraine (3rd day today), or that I had just been backstabbed at work by someone I’ve trusted for 15 years, or that I’ve been stiffed for several hundred bucks in my side business, or that I’ve had another ‘KaBoom’ because the breachface failed, again. I would like to continue posting and reading here, so please consider my leaving as just for a short trip. 3. I managed to engage the keyboard without engaging my brain when I first posted the joke in question. I received that joke and several others from a family member who lives the ‘alternative lifestyle’ in question and was asked if I knew any more similar jokes, so I posted the request for more jokes. I should have just asked people to email me the jokes rather than post them, but to be honest it just never crossed my mind that other people would be so offended. Nolan
  15. I can't open the USPSA website. My browser gets hijacked by the PMC Match Ammo Program logon and then won't let me close the browser or back up to the previous page. Nolan Remember go as fast as possible and take all unnecessary chances.
  16. Rika, Go to the Harley dealer and look at the Sportsters especially the 883L (Lowered) http://www.harley-davidson.com/PR/MOT/2006...elsection=specs They aren't as light as they used to be, but the weight is carried very low and the bike is very narrow which makes it feel even lighter. They aren't cheap, but the resale value is very high. I had an '87 883 that I rode 70K miles in 8 years. I sold it for $1,500 more than I paid for it new. 17. Use the history(?) feature to defeat the captive page jerks. In IE click the little down arrow next to the Back button and you can scroll down the list to whatever previous page you want. I'm not sure how to do it in the other browsers. Nolan Remember go as fast as possible and take all unnecessary chances.

  19. No, I don't have any dizziness or balance issues. My vision just gets a kind of flashing/flickering border around the edges that is more pronounced at the sides than at the top or bottom. Nolan Remember go as fast as possible and take all unnecessary chances.
  20. Erik, Generally just before I get a migraine I get some odd vision effects very similar to what you described. I occasionally get the effects, but don't get the headache for whatever reason. If I can relax my vision and unfocus my eyes for a minute or two it will generally go away, but if I'm stressed or physically tense it will get worse. Nolan
  21. Hokay, I looked at my handy dandy fold-out Torx key set and Ass-U-Ming, since they are not marked individually...I think it's a T6 key. Nolan Remember go as fast as possible and take all unnecessary chances.
  22. "This is a Glock 40 and I'm the only person in the room qualified to handle it...Kaboom!" Tim Conway on McHale's Navy, "Gee, Skipper look at this .45" McHale: "Put that thing away before you hurt someone!" "Don't worry Skip, see it's on Safe...Kaboom! Oops, that's Up for Safe...Kaboom!" Nolan
  23. If you do strip out the hex socket hole, you can use a Torx wrench by lightly tapping it into the stripped socket. I'll post the correct size when I get home. Nolan Remember go as fast as possible and take all unnecessary chances.
