  1. just went to a 12 here
  2. RIP Andy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DU5oEgJKgY
  3. In reality, try and shoot some dfferent guns and see what shoots best for you and what you like. They are all quality guns but just depends on what works for you. What works best for me and anyone else might be wrong for you. I like a very muzzle heavy gun and a heavy gun in general. othes like a lighter gun that balances more between the hands.
  4. Turkey duck geese etc. I did have a buddy who took a browning gold 10ga, cut the barrel down, had a tube made for it and uses it for a home defense gun. Recoil is about like a 12ga auto with the weight of the gun and being a gas gun
  5. I would love them for 9mm. While they wouldnt have the capacity of a bigstick, they would be great for 25 rounds or so
  6. You have to leave the magnifier on the gun but you dont have to use it. If its a solid mount, you can shoot with it or without it but how you start the match is how you shoot the whole match.. If its a flip to the side mount, you can flip it during the match at will as long as it stays on te gun
  7. Typically the Krieghoffs, Kolar and Perazzi are all in the same range. Krieghoff as well as all the other companies do offer an annual which they go through the gun, change springs etc. It is more for good insurance than anything else and it really depends on how much you shoot. when I shot Skeet with a Krieghoff, I had approximately 200K+ rounds through it without a bit of trouble.
  8. It REALLY depends on personal preference and what feels good to you as far as weight/balence. The Krieghoff is heavier and has more weight in the nose than the Beretta and Perazzi which are lighter and more nutral balanced. The Kolar feels more like a beefed up heavier version of the perazzi, beretta with more mass but its more between the hands than the Krieghoff
  9. They dont fit. You really do not have much room at the bottom of the gun for anything extended
  10. I use that time to chamber check the rounds as they go in the box
  11. do you have an extra power trigger spring in the gun? Those 2 springs work against each other and it is very common for it to not reset with a light striker spring and a heavy trigger spring
  12. +1 on the 550. It is a very versatile machine so if(when) you decide to expand your loading, it will easily expand with you. It also has a little more "room" to work with than a SBD
  13. I run a Jager extended striker and have no problem with small rifle primers
  14. Hiviz comp sight. It comes with different size light pipes. It is not huge though but is a good size. Huge sight draws your eyes to the sight too much where they dont need to be
  15. not all fulcrums come with the striker. I would get the one without it and add a jager striker. I can definately tell a difference and the jager feels much better
  16. usually less powder=less gass which means more flip
  17. MSH is the easiest way to shave weight and it takes it out of your hands. If you want the front end lighter, a Aluminum guide rod or GI setup will save weight
  18. the fulcrum is a total aftermarket aluminum trigger not a modified factory one
  19. what kind of gun are you putting them on?
  20. Im not sure the thread would handle that many points lol
  21. Its more whatching where the targets are going in the wind and preparing for it. Much easier to chase a target up or down if your prepared for it.
  22. works great for anyone as you can clear a jam real fast if need be.
  23. There is a gentleman on rimfirecentral.com that maks a nice slide racker for a ruger mark 3 or mark 3 22/45 that runs 33 bucks and is similar to the regular open gun style rackers. I have one on mine and and have another one coming in for a fellow shooters sons gun. It makes racking the slide VERY easy as you dont have to grab anything. I got one a while ago and now several shooters are sporting them at the steel match. http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=394321&page=3
  24. Jager striker makes a world of difference over the factory and ZEV. I can definately tell what striker is in the gun
