  1. I would look for one of the mossberg 930 jms or a used 1100 and add a tube. If you already had the gun and wanted to try it out i would say go for it but I wouldnt buy a pump for 3gun unless your looking to shoot heavy metal. the 7 round capacity on the gun is also a disadvantage as tactical allows 9 rounds(8+1) and alot of rules its that at the buzzer so a longer tube you can add extra after the buzzer. Ghost ring sights are personal preference but at least for me, I would go a regular bead sight especially if there are targets in the air ie clays, flippers etc.
  2. its good to go. Just make sure you check your grip to make sure it dosent hit it and drop mags when you dont want it too. Also practice table starts which are easy to hit it also. Alot of people are taking the 34 extended mag release and slide stop off for std parts
  3. Just use plenty of choke, and hit it square and it will go down. wide open cylinde choke and hosing because you think your pattern is huge isnt the way to go.
  4. can be swapped in a couple min with no loss of holster settings From Saul himself
  5. here is a picture they sent me of their open 3gun holster called the race holster r10.bmp
  6. alot of guys are using the 24 and 26 inch barrels for 3 gun with alot of the outlaw matchs only being 8+1 at the start and people wanting a longer mag tube. I would take a 24 inch over the 21 inch
  7. Call shooters connection. STI 140 tube Grams 11 coil spring and follower Dawson base pad regular or SNL(just make sure to measure the mags with the SNL on) Im running the setup with the non SNL and am getting 20 rounds in the mag reloadable. I tried a dawson follower setup and was getting 19
  8. I would but then Im not a benelli fan at all. They are just to light for my tastes and I like a gas gun over the recoil operated gun. Came to this after swinging an 11.5 pound Krieghoff around so I feel I have better control with the heavier gun and am still able to drive the heavy gun quick
  9. I think the reason they do the prize table like they do is they want it visible to the shooters to see what the sponsors provided. Having stuff leave before everyone sees it does not do this. +1 on shooters making the difference on reset time. We have shot local pistol matches with a larger squad than others, had a full ie non speed shoot buffer stage and still caught the squad in front of us and had to wait on several occasions. At this match, we had eveyone on the squad working to reset quickly and had people following the RO to paste. The more people work the less you have to work Way to go AM squad 1
  10. safariland holster with the ALS. This holster is very easy to learn as the release is very natural with a leave by your thumb you hit when drawing. I borrowed one for the rockcastle 3 gun and had the draw down in a couple min max. It is about the same draw speed as regular Kydex in that you do not have to crank up the retention to make sure the gun stays put. The gun is NOT coming out until you want it to.
  11. The problem with capacity is what number do you set as the capacity? 20 for limited, 21 for limited? what happens when you set it as 20 for limited with those who have mags that hold 21-22 rounds. In Limited 10 you can shoot the 21 round mags with only 10 rounds in them. So load it to the max wouldnt work as thats not how its done in Limited 10 or SS
  12. Ya,the only thing you will need to swap is the ejector from the 35 into the 34. If you have any work done to the housing, just pull out the ejector and swap it over it takes about 2 min to switch the 2
  13. But But it was foamy so I had to get 2 cups!! dont you mean a pitcher?
  14. how are your guns stippled? stippling dosent automatically put you in limited it depends on where it is
  15. I run modified in mine for shot, slugs and buckshot. Just shot the proam and took some shots longer than others did and did not have one plate turn or fail to go down when hit. I would rather have more choke than not enough.
  16. Mec for the volume you are shooting. Unless your looking for a specialty load, very little money is saved in loading 12 and 20 ga these days. The smaller 28 and 410 alot of savings is there to be had. In shotgun loading the Mec is a great entry level machine that produces quality shells, is easy to operate and isnt too expensive. Next up the line would be the PW and then the top end would be the spolar
  17. Go chokes, you can always leave one in and call it good if you want to. You are better off with a little extra choke than not enough. Spray and pray is not a good approach when shooting the shotgun
  18. Did he realize he was uprange of you when he took off. I would say he should have been stopped and issued a reshoot for interfearence. Sometimes the stage design helps cause that problem. I know Flex has a video posted on here of him shooting where insteaed of going into a port to shoot he started shooting backing up. The RO was looking around the wall before continuing to follow him.
  19. Mine are the Rudy's with the prescription insert. I got the insert and sent it to a company online who installed lenses in it for 40 bucks. Remember to use to discount codes on the rudy glasses
  20. I still run my oldschool 45 round "suddendeath" mag. I got it before the Pmag extensions etc became popular. I saw 2 nordic pmag extentions at the last local match go bad and not work at all. Usually I take my 45 rounder, a couple 30s, a couple 20s and a coupled 30 round mag. I use the mag best suited for the task at hand
